Narrator: Following the incident with Arc Trooper Fives the senate loses ever more faith in their chancellor with a growing number growing uneasy at Palpatines attitude towards the war as he continually speaks of imminent victories that are no where in sight.

Senator Riyo chichi continues to strongly advocate for clone righted but even she begins to doubt the great republic her people have served

(Senator Chuchi's Office).

Senator Riyo Chuchi sat at her desk going over several files and numerous reports sent to her by the Chairmen of pantora and they weren't good.

She had organized the reports into 3 main issues.

1. Lack of food and goods to supply the Pantoran economy with over 20 million homeless.

2. Forced conscription of Hundreds of Thousands of young Pantora men and women and teens to the republic armies.

3. Increased raids by pirates and criminals and public sentiment turning against the republic with more pro Sepratist groups Gaining Traction.

That last point scared Riyo. She knew her people were suffering but she had hoped the war would be over by now.

but with the current debacle with the Banks and the ongoing total war she knew her people would lose ever greater amounts of faith in the republic.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of Bail Organa.

"Riyo I sense something is troubling you yes." He asks noticing her discomfort.

"Yes I'm afraid there is senator Organa look." She says handing him a data pad.

Going over it Bail's eyes go wide with shock.

"You're certain the Chairmen is actually considering joining the Sepratists." He asks horrified at losing more worlds politically to the confederacy.

Riyo just glances at home calmly. "No he isn't Senator Organa it's just the wheels of democracy are moving way to slow to relive Pantora's problems and mark my words.

If the senate doesn't get itself together soon Pantora may be forced to seek other deals to secure the peoples well being." She says cooly.

Bail nods In understanding. He also knew that the senate had been more and more Indecisive lately.

And with the chaos regarding the Banks he knew that Pantora and the well being of other rim worlds still under republic control will be the least of the senates concerns.

"Riyo I know that it's hard this war has taken its toll on all of us we just need to stand as one and we will weather the storm the republic always does." Bail said to her optimistically.

Smiling at her friend gratefully she and bail continue to talk for a while till Bail excuses himself.

Once Bail leaves her office she calls Chairman Papanoida.

"Chairman." She says respectfully.

"Senator Chuchi how are things going with the senate have you gained any aid for Pantora yet." He asks hopefully.

"No Chairmen I'm sorry with the issue of the banks I've been told Pantora will be on basically a long waiting list for aid." She said sadly.

"Blast it. The people have been rioting Senator and I'm fearing that they will alright revolt if we don't come up with something fast." He says urgently.

Riyo knew the Chancellor was right and after a few minutes of silence she came up with a plan.

"What if we contacted Grand Countess Avona she's still the leader of the Raxon Trade Guild and has hundreds of Neutral Trade companies everywhere." Riyo says hopefully.

The chairman frowns for a little bit then looks back at her. "You're certain that she would accept our terms and allow us to maintain our independence." He questioned.

"I believe so based on what I've heard from friends in other systems under Separatist Control." She said assuringly.

"Very well I will speak with her then." The chairman decides firmly.

Smiling at the chairman as the call ends Riyo can only hope that the future of Pantora remains bright.

(Coruscant High Command 1 week later).

With the confederacy's ongoing offensives pushing even deeper into the core there was a sense of Panic in high command.

They had some relief since the Banks had been brought under their Control Opening up a plethora of Funding.

However Some generals feared the loss of their beloved republic while others feared the punishment avona would bring for the crimes they Had Committed.

However as they were staring silently at the star charts Palpatine came into the room with tarkin.

"Gentlemen I know the war hasn't been going great for us. But myself and the chancellor have a plan." Tarkin declared to the other military officials and ministers.

"Oh really a plan that will probably fail like Morelia." Admiral Colburn says showing clear contempt for Tarkins plans.

"Admiral you know that I outrank show respect." Tarkin replies angrily.

"No one won't. I respected high General Brimarch who actually knew what he was doing not some upstart political stool pigeon like you." Colburn says stubbornly.

"You'll regret saying that." Tarkin growls as a blaster bolt flies through Colburns stomach killing him.

Stunned the other officials turn and see a man holding a smoking blaster.

(An: shout out to WAMred  for recommending Oleg Petrovsky belongs to the owners of Mass effect not me I'm just adding the character for the story don't hate me please).

"Treason will not be tolerated. The republic will win and anything to the contrary well let's just say I have no intentions of showing mercy to failures." Oleg says coldly.

"General petrovsky what are you doing here you were instructed to Remain on Anaxes." Yularen says angry.

"Not anymore as of now Grand General Tarkin is being made my CHEIF Military advisor and the New Grand General will Be Oleg Petrovsky. I trust you won't give him trouble." Palpatine says coldly.

The others nod in agreement but none speak up.

"Good now then my plan as I was saying before I was interrupted." Tarkin says while pulling up a hologram.

We need an advantage to allow us to fight back and I know the perfect Target. Pantora one of our last holdings in the Outer rim if we sent an army to use it as a base we could attack the Sepratists from behind and receive pressure on the inner rim and core." Tarkin says proudly.

Many were silent not wanting to sound treasonous so Tarkin took it as his cue to continue.

"The 1st sector army will be sent Under General Petrovsky to occupy the plants and he'll conduct the operations from there." Tarkin declared.

"By your command Lord Tarkin." Petrovsky says bowing before leaving the room.

After he left high command looked at eachother worry etched on their faces.

Oleg petrovsky was very Anti Alien and was very obsessed with human dominated society and PANTORA was only part Human.

They feared that if he acted out of control there the news would find its way to Avona who would still be fuming about the banks.

And with all the other violations to the Naboo accords the republic had done the officials knew Avona would not be kind to them.

(Pantora).

Chairman Papanoida looked at the latest figures from the Trade Ministry regarding new supply delivery from the Tricon Union a sub division from the Raxon Trade Guild.

In the last week Pantora had revived over 15'000 tonnes of food and supplies and the people were very relived.

As the Chairman sat back in his desk sipping some tea an alert came up on his holopad.

Grabbing it he is shocked. 9 transport ships were destroyed but not by Pirates but by the republic.

Rushing to his balcony he sees his daughters and son staring up at the sky as republic vessels emerge out of hyperspace destroying Transport ships.

Furious the Chairman Storms to his Holotable and commands his attendants to get him into contact with the republic Fleet.

Eventually the figure Of General Oleg Petrovsky appears.

"Ah Chairman thsi is a a glorious day for you and your people the day the galaxy removers as the republic throws the Separatists back." He declares before ending the call as republic gunships swarm down to the surface.

When they land republic troops Immediately begin to confiscate supplies supposedly needed for their war effort despite the protests of the people.

The Chairman desperate for this occupation to end or at least change he contacts Senator Chuchi who puts him into Contact with ten Chancellor.

"Greetings Chancellor I call asking for aid." Papanoida says desperately.

"If this Is about the republic 1st army's presence on Pantora forget it. We need to secure Any advantage over the Separatists and if you can't accept that that's your problem." The chancellor says coldly.

Papanoida was fuming now. "Your men are stealing our food and medical supplies and I remind you Pantora is barely protected by the Naboo Accords If any attacks are launched from here the Separatists will launch a full
Invasion." He says angrily trying to make Palpatine see reason.

Palpatine however shrugs it off." We all have to make sacrifices Chairman and I thank you for yours." He says before cutting the call off.

The chairman's son who's listening in was furious at the Chancellor's Coldness
To them and he and his sisters Immediately contacted Avona.

"What's wrong Lord Ion." Avona says politely. Ion and his sisters recap what had happen to Pantora and how badly they needed help.

Avona simply looked at them
Calmly. "Oh I'll gladly send aid don't worry." She says reassuringly.

(3 days later).

General Oleg was in the middle of a meeting with palpatine when all of a sudden hundreds of Sepratists ships emerge out of hyperspace and begin attacking the republic Fleet.

"SCRAMBLE ALL FIGHTERS." Oleg yells to his men as they rush to Ann turrets and scramble defenses.

Oleg knew he was a tactical genius but against such overwhelming odds he knew he had to retreat Before the Separatists pushed forward and grabbed him.

Using his light ships as shields he managed to pull back enough of his forces that he could then retreat from Pantora.

However many of his men do not manage to escape and the civilians with Morelian and Droid intervention manage to capture or kill the rest.

After the short battle Avona descends on ten surface to meet the Chairman.

Entering the Palace she is surprised to see Senator Chuchi as well.

"Greetings Chairman, Senator. You wanted to meet with me." Avona says politely

"Yes Grand Countess we wished to discuss Pantora as secession from the republic to join the confederacy." The chairman says as refreshments are brought in.

(An: skipping this talk because of how much dialogue it would be to write and I'm doing this on my phone sorry).

After discussing for several hours Pantora terms Chuchi stands up.

"This document contains the major points we've discussed today if you'll sign it I will go to the republic and make our secession official." Chuchi declares handing ten document to Avona.

Smiling avona signs. "Welcome to the confederacy Pantora. After a short dinner Chuchi leaves to go announce to the senate Pantora's secession.

(Galactic senate).

As Chuchi arrives and the session begins and she is given the floor.

"Esteemed senators I come to you all today with grave news. Exactly 5 days ago the republic launched a military occupation of my home world without my consent or permission of the Pantoran assembly.

Our supplies were stolen and our protests were silenced at gun point. But my question is this for months where has this republic been while my people suffered for want of food and medicine.

I'll tell you this senate was pre concerned with a senseless war and money.

So it is with a Heavy heart I declare that officially Pantora resigns from the republic and we officially secede to the confederacy." Chuck declares amidst a thunder of protests.

However several other senators form Rodia, Alsakan, Corelia and the empress Teta system also declare their own secession from the republic and all officially pledge to the confederacy.

Palpatine and the others are stunned as one by one other systems follow them in leaving the republic.

Furious as the meeting ends Palpatine pours the dark side even more into the Jedi temple as Tarkin and Oleg enter his office.

"Had the evidence been planted." Palpatine questions.

"Yes chancellor." They both reply.

"Good it's time to remove the Republics Greatest weakness.

The Jedi.
