Narrator: victory on the horizon. After defeating the republic space force outside ryloth Avona successfully landed her powerful combined army and took ryloths vital cities. However unbeknownst to both sides a new threat had risen in the two weeks since the invasion began.

(Separatist command base Lessu).

"It's pitiful your great army had continued to fail to defeat Cham Syndullas rebels." Wat Tambor boasted to an annoyed Avona.

Avona was stressed. She had promised ryloth would fall in 14 rotations and yet continued resistance made it increasingly difficult for her forces to consolidate ryloth.

Teh trackers though and been invaluable in crushing rebel camps the problem was she only had 4'000 trackers and Ryloth was huge and no one knew the land better than rebels.

And to top it off she had to endure the obnoxious minister of the techno union demanding a hand in ryloth.

"For the last time Minister." Avona growled the title while glaring at Tambor. "I have everything under control and I will not allow any meddling from you or the other council members to interfere with my operations."

Avona moved her hand to deactivate the call but Tambor stopped her.

"Wait what if I promised you wealth and an exchange planet for planet." Tambor bargained.

Rolling her eyes Avona just hung up on the minister.

"Oh thank goodness I thought he would never shut up." Carmiya says annoyed.

"Tell me about it." Avona replies. "What's the news from the front."

"We've seized control of the southern and eastern hemispheres of Ryloth but the west is almost secured.

However the north continues to repel our offensives into the regions." Carmiya responds while pointing out the various key points on a holomap.

"I see." Avona replies while staring at the map. "Gather the officers we need to deduce a course of action to end this campaign soon." She says standing up and walking out of the office.

Nodding her head Carmiya dawns on her helmet and follows her sister to the meeting area.

(Rebel camp).

Cham was extremely nervous about the current situation.

All his allies were being picked off one by one and Avona's army continued to secure the various provinces.

He was trying to figure out how to solve this crisis but his only hope was that the republic would send aid but he knew that was unlikely after what Howezer told him.

(Flash back).

Cham stormed out of the meeting fury on his face. Senator Taa had just refused to send aid to ryloth because in his own words quote. "You beat the separatists once so do it again." He has declared his arrogance grating on Cham.

His path was eventually blocked by Howezer arrival.

"Try to understand sir. While Senator taa is arrogant true enough the republic does have a bigger problem.

Yeh nearest reinforcements the 7th sector army is stretched to the limit trying to contain a separatist offensive in the Hypori Run.

Further more the separatists recently launched an attack on Kamino so our presence in the outer rim is weaker as a result of our concentration on Kamino."

"I see thank you Howezer ." Cham replies sincerely.

(Flash back end).

Cham was eventually dragged out of his thoughts by the sudden arrival of Howezer.

"Sir. General Nexu is calling a strategy meeting he says he has a new plan that will crush the enemy." Howezer tried to sound optimistic but Cham could sense the doubt in his voice.

"I'm probably not going to like this am I." Cham says with a sigh.

"Probably not sir." Howezer replies honestly leading Cham to the Meeting.

Pushing the animal for that acted as a door to the command center Cham took stock of all who were present at the meeting either physically or via Hologram.

Senator Taa and Senator Mothma, Captain Tarkin and General Secura commander of the 7th sector army. Finally there was Chancellor palpatine and General Nexu.

"Ah now that General Syndula has arrived I can resume detailing my proposal and findings." Nexu began. Pulling up a  map of the area.

"Scouting reports informed me that a large enemy force of 5 civilian divisions and 6 droid divisions withstood armor are headed this way.

"I believe that this is Avona's last gamble to secure a Ryloth completely." He says directing his Gaze towards General Secura. "I don't think I need to remind anyone about what happens if avona takes Ryloth.

her army will rampage all over the outer rim and she'll control a route to the mid rim." He says grimly.

The others had looks on their faces that told Cham they agreed with Nexu.

"All I can spare is a Venator and a few clone companies to assist you. But those will take 12 hours to arrive." Aayla informed him.

"That's fine in 12 hours if my plan works we should have avona on the back foot and running away like the coward she really is." Nexu replied boastingly.

Cham didn't share Nexu's opinion about Avona from his own research he deduced she was a frontline commander and extremely brave given the report that she and her warriors fought Nexu at the start of the Campaign.

"I advise caution. While I don't know your plan I can't help but urge that if we aren't careful Avona will win." Cham adds on warningly.

"Hahaha how rude of me I forgot to tell you the plan." Nexu replies in mock sincerity. "You see your rebels will take positions along these two ridges near the Zuren pass ahead of Avona's advance.

Meanwhile the clones will be in dug in positions with our remaining heavy equipment ready to decimate enemy lines."

The plan seemed solid but Cham had a bad feeling about it because of one glaring weakness.

"What about confederacy air power. Without fighters of our own we stand no chance against the Hyena bombers Avona has." Cham says trying to urge the group to see you soon ereason.

Aayla was about to speak up before senstor Taa cut her off. "It doesn't matter by that time General Securas ship should be there to help chase off the bombers." Taa replies dismissing Chams concerns.

"I agree with General Nexus plans." Tarkin says around the same Time as Mothma.

The only ones opposed to this plan were Cham, Howezer and Secura.

"Very well. General Nexu carry on to freedom." Palpatine says cutting the transmission.

Shortly after the call Nexu dismissed Cham and Howezer ordering them to prepare the troops.

But neither Cham or Howezer could shake the feeing of dread that formed in their stomachs.

(The Battle of Zuren Pass).

Cham watched over the battlefield with some binoculars from his blurg to his left was his wife and one his right was Gobi his second in command.

Behind them were 6 other freedom fighters to act as protection in case the separatists tried to kill him.

"Cham are you sure about this plan." Gobi questioned doubt in his voice."

Even though Eleni didn't say anything Cham could tell she agreed with Gobi.

"No I'm not sure about this plan. But it's the only one we have." Cham replies grimly before turning to gaze over the battlefield.

Cham spotted the advancing enemy and took lots of his awaiting soldiers upon the ridges while clones simply waited to unleash death upon the enemy.

Eventually Nexus voice came over the Comm. "all units attack!!!!" He commanded their forces.

Almost immediately Cham notices the snipers destroy the advance units and he saw the Morelians and droids panic as clones unleashed fire.

Trying to regroup the Morelians we're only able to launch a poorly organized counter attack that simply resulted in hundreds getting gunned down by charging the trenches as Morelian light tanks were destroyed one by one by grenades and rockets.

Upon the ridge The freedom fighters were picking off the rear units now.

"It seems to be going well." One of the otter rebels says behind Cham looking over the battlefield.

"No somethings not right. When Avona first landed her units were organized and disciplined not running like cowards at the first sign of resistance."  Cham says seriously.

"Chams right.. look." Eleni calls out pointing towards the battlefield where the enemy was now retreating while clones and rebels continued to fire on them.

"Yes victory is ours." One rebel cheers followed by the others.

"No it isn't." Cham whispers grimly.

(Flash back).

Seated at a table General Andor and Selene and TX-1943 were gathered with other commanders that made up the Morelian 1st army.

"So here's my plan gentleman." Avona spoke up deciding to cut right to the Chase. "The enemy is most likely hidden here in the northern regions where our patrols have been lost the most.

My plan is to lead a force to draw out the enemy from their hiding places and we will lure them into a trap here." Avona declared pointing  to the Zuren Pass.

"So let me guess here." Carmiya says standing up. "Our diversionary force will bait the rebels out here to the open where our hyena bombers can wipe them out or a reserve force."

"Exactly sis. Only try both the hyena bombers and a reserve force and we got ourselves a turkey shoot."  Avona declared.

The others grinned at the thought of finally defeating the ryloth resistance and capturing the legendary Cham syndulla.

Eventually Rook stood up.

"A good plan general I'll prepare the men." Rook responds bowing to Avona.

(Battle field end of flash back).

Avona from the position of her tank smiled at the sight before her.

The diversion had worked and her scouts reported clones chasing the diversion army and from her binoculars she spotted dust upon the ridge.

"Bomber squadron take off your targets the ridges to the east and west of our position." Avona ordered.

Soon the screaming of hyenas bombers was heard as avona took notice of their rapid advance to the ridges.

"All tanks advance and destroy the remnant of the enemy forces Trackers and elite troopers to the front." Avona commanded as her remaining forces advanced catching the enemy by surprise.

"Take any who surrender prisoner but I want that Zabrack dead." Avona declared coldly.

(Republic POV).

Cham stared at the battlefield in horror as he watched ibis brothers and sisters run helplessly from the relentless bombers while on the ground clones were getting destroyed as the Morelians launched their counter attack.

"This... is horrible." Eleni says tears forming in her eyes.

Cham can do little to comfort his wife as the clones now run trying to escape the enemy forces.

"CHAM LOOK OUT." Gobi yells tackling Cham to the ground out of the way of an incoming Bomber.

However the others fail to take cover and 4 are killed.

Looking around in Horror and catching his wife's tear filled eyes.he is about to issue his most shred order until suddenly Nexus voice blares over the comm.

"Bomber squadron target and destroy separatist command at Lessu." Nexu orders growling.

"NOOO." Eleni screams as Cham sees republic bombers on a one way course to the capital.

(Republic POV 1 hour earlier).

"Captain tarkin we are outside the Ryloth system the enemy fleet is holing position." A clone reports.

"Good hold our ship at a distance and attack at once but protect the gunships so they can reinforce our men on the ground."

After 45 minutes of battle a call came over the bridge.

Answering teh figure of General Nexu appeared on the hol table.

"Captain greetings you wouldn't happen to have a Y-wing squadron available to aid my troops in case my main plan fails."

"That depends what is Plan B." Tarkin questions with a raised eyebrow.

Nexu then proceeds to tell him. A sinister smile appears on tarkins face. "I'll see what I can do but I'm sure I can scrap some up to help with an attack on the separatist command center in Lessu."

Nodding his head Nexu hangs up.

Ten minutes Ayer tarkin gives the go ahead to his men to launch and level Lessu after reassuring them that all civilians had been evacuated depsite it being a deliberate lie.

(Separatist POV)

Selene stared out the window in horror barely two minutes earlier a Mandalorian had warned her that an enemy bomber squadron was on a one way trip to the capital.

Knowing what was about to happen Selene ran over to the nearest intercom system.

"All troops evacuate the civilians to safe shelters or get them out of the city and vulture droids deploy in screening formation stop those Y-wings." Selene yelled turning to the Mandalorian in the room.

"Lieutenant Wren scramble your forces if the vultures can't stop the bombers you need to." Selene ordered grimly.

Nodding her head Ursa ran out of the room to gather her platoon.

On teh streets Morelians and droids struggled to organize the population to flee to the safety shelters.

The twi leks frequently fought the soldiers who they deemed as invaders at least the did until they spotted the bombers headed their way.

Soon the streets were filled with panic as civilians scrambled to either a bunker or trying to flee the city.

Meanwhile vultures struggled to bring down the bombers resulting in Jess rushing where are you men to the air as they struggled to bring down the bombers as Morelians on the forums led by Selene rushed to the city walls trying to grab rocket launchers.

However despite their efforts 3 bombers managed to escape and hit the city.

"You Monsters." Ursa yells. Urging her men forward as she jumps onto a bomber and rips teh cockpit open and throws the pilot out while shooting the gunner resulting in the bomber crashing.

The others are destroyed in a similar fashion.

(Republic perspective) 30 minutes later.

Shortly after the news of teh failed bombing raid General Nexu tries to run to a ship that had been sent by tarkin to collect him.

"Hold it General." Behind him Cham with Gobi and Eleni walk forward with their blurgs holding their pistols threateningly

"Hahaha you think you can kill me." He boasted. Drawing his lightsaber.

"No we can't." Cham admits before smirking. "But she can." He replies as a Nexu watches his ship suddenly blow up.

Descending from the sky 13 mandalorians surround him and 9 speeder bikes with Avona and the knights on them.

"Well we'll well. What have we here a Jedi fleeing to go cry to the republic about da big and Separatists boo ho ho." Avona mocks walking towards the Zabrack.

"Tell me sis where have we seen this before." Avona questions rhetorically.

"Oh I do t know." She replies pretending to be clueless." Kynar?" She ragas drawing her staff.

"Yup let's not repay the same mistake as last time get him." Avona commands drawing her rapier and attacking the Zabrack.

Nexu was a powerful Jedi but against a nimble enemy like Avona this was more difficult and she had her knights who were weakening him with blasters.

And you had the mandalorians also shooting him.

After 20 minutes of this senseless dance he unleashes a force blast sending everyone to the ground.

Growling menacingly he approaches Chan lying on the ground.

"Prepare to Die traitor." He growls raising his blade.

Cham braces himself for it but it never happens.

Instead a silk silver blade protrudes from the Jedis chest. Shocked he turns his head around he sees Avona glaring at him with pure hatred her sword in her hand.

"Mur murderer." He mutters before falling over dead.

"No I am justice." Avona whispers coldly.

Looking up she sees Cham get to his knees followed by his companions then one by Ken they throw their weapons to the ground.

"Bring them to the capital." Avona says while alleging back to her speeder.

(2 weeks later)

Following the terrible battle of ryloth the true death rate almost made Avona throw up. She lost 108'000 Morelians and 97'000 droids while the republic lost 13'000 rebels and 8'000 clones only 400 clones survived including captain Howezer.

Cham surrendered but Avoan terms weren't harsh. She only demanded ryloth assume full neutral and serve neither the republic or the confederacy. To Avona the Twi leeks never asked for war and yet they got it just by association to the republic.

Senator Taa obviously objected but after Cham threatened to hand Ryloth over to Avona he complied.

Dooku obviously wasn't happy but Avona's reasoning was sound enough so he let it slide since the republic didn't have the space lanes dooku was contempt not having them either especially since Avona promised him there was a better target to get to the mid rim.

However after the stress of the battle avona was encouraged to take a break and rook being the main voice to encourage her to do so was asked to accompany her.

(Palace of Morelia).

Throughout out the halls the clanging of blades rang. Avona wanting to test rook had challenges her to a duel and room believing she could win accepted.

For the sake of fairness rook didn't have her armor just a sparing blade and Avona didn't have her pistol.

Eventually Avona knocked rooks blade out of her hand and in a fit of fury rook attempted to tackle Avona only to be dodged and kicked into a wall.

"Rook you need to be more calm. Remember Angie Romay fuel you but it also blinds you." Avona advised reaching a hand down to help her up."

"Of course sorry man." Rook apologized accepting the hand.

"Mam." An aid called running into the room with a holo pad.

"What is it colonel."

Turning on the holo gram avona watches as a large Zabrack barrels through droids and clones alike and then brutally kills the Jedi.

When rook comes over and catches a glimpse of what happened a look do horror crosses her face.

"I'm afraid mam this came with a. Message from Dooku He wishes for you to come meet

His new apprentice." The officer says grimly

An: hope you all enjoyed and liked the new character introduced and well I'll let you all piece together who Avona just saw. Also I will continue to do 2-3 day updates cause I love to update and write this story and I hope you're all still enjoying it.
