After being assigned their mission, the Storm Hawks wasted no time in beginning their search for Dark Ace. The search produces little results as they move their search to the Outer Rim. On the bridge of the Condor, the Storm Hawks meet to discuss the search while Stork pilots the ship. 

Piper: Anything, Captain? 

Finn: Not at all. 

Stork: Maybe it's time we consider that maybe Dark Ace is no longer a problem. 

Piper: He's out there. I know it. I can feel him and his master plotting. 

X2: And my brother has a fleet backing up Dark Ace. I know my brother. He's not the kind to cut his losses and hide. 

At that point, Stork sighs. He thought that the destruction of the Second Death Star would mean he wouldn't have to worry about fighting a war, but it was far from being the case. Piper began to meditate on her next move. During the course of the war, the Storm Hawks had faced the Empire in battles across the Galaxy. As she meditated, she soon found her answers.

Piper: Stork. Set a course for Nur. 

Junko: Nur?

Piper: It's where we can find the Fortress Inquisitorius. 

Stork: The Fortress Inquisitorius?! Absolutely not! I've gone along for some suicidal missions, but this is where I draw the line!

Aerrow: That fortress might be our only chance of finding a lead on Dark Ace. And besides, that place is probably abandoned by now. We should be good. 

Finn: Hate to say this, but the hotshot's right. Set the coordinates for Nur. 

Stork: We're doomed. 

Despite his own feelings about it, Stork set the coordinates for Mur and jumped into Hyperspace. After a short journey, the Condor reached Nur. The Condor then entered Nur's atmosphere and made their way to the Fortress Inquisitorius. As they approached the ruined fortress, Piper and Aerrow made the decision to infiltrate the fortress. Piper and Aerrow managed to enter the fortress through the top of the fortress which had been blown open by a bombing raid. 

Aerrow: What's the plan, Piper?

Piper: We need to search the records of this place. There's has to be something that might indicate where he might've gone. 

With that, Piper and Aerrow made their way to the records terminal of the fortress. Aerrow began hacking into the terminal. Doing so proved to be a challenge, but Aerrow was able to do so. 

Aerrow: Open sesame. Here you go, Piper. Now you have access to the whole records. 

Piper immediately began searching through the database for any clues that could lead her to Dark Ace's location. She then finds an entry dating back several years ago. She accesses the file to reveal a detailed file on Dark Ace. She soon learns of Dark Ace's origins as a Jedi who fell to the Dark Side during the sacking of the Jedi Temple. She also gained access to the list of Jedi he had killed during his tenure as an Imperial Inquisitor. Upon seeing her mother's name on that list, Piper grew emotional. 

Piper: Mother....

Aerrow: Are you all right, Piper? 

Piper: I'm...I'm fine, Aerrow. 

Piper continued looking through the files on Dark Ace. She soon found records of a mission into Cyclonia. Suddenly, time froze as the Force Ghost of Anyarah began communicating with her.

Piper: Mother? 

Anyarah: Listen closely, my daughter. A great evil has arisen. An evil that threatens the entire Galaxy. 

Piper: You mean Darth Cyclonis? 

Anyarah: Long ago, a great battle was fought on Cyclonia. In that battle, a great and terrible weapon was unleashed upon the planet. It was here that the Sith Lord Darth Cyclonis fell. 

Piper: And where does Dark Ace fit into all this?

Anyarah: He presents a clear and present danger to the Galaxy alongside his master. But you are not yet strong enough to face this threat. 

Upon hearing this, Piper was in utter shock. She had endured so much since starting on her journey to becoming a Jedi. She had trained under many Jedi including Rahm Kota, Starling and the Jedi Sage Arygyn. 

Piper: How can that be, mother? I've trained!

Anyarah: You have made tremendous progress in your training, but it is not enough to face Darth Cyclonis. In order to to face Darth Cyclonis and her servants, you must be one with the Force and I sense much conflict within you. 

Piper: What must I do, mother? 

Anyarah: Return to Tython. Go speak with Arygyn. He will know what to do. Daughter, be cautious in the days to come. The Dark Side clouds everything. It will seek to lure you into the darkness and make you an agent of evil. Always remember, trust in the Force. 

As Anyarah offered her wisdom to her daughter, her form vanished as time unfroze. 

Aerrow: Piper? Are you sure you're all right?

Piper: I'm fine, Aerrow.

Aerrow: Looks like Cyclonia might be where Dark Ace is hiding. We better get the fleet ready. 

Piper: No. We're not ready. If we attack now, we'll be wiped out. We need to head back to Tython. 

Aerrow: I'm sure Stork is going to be relieved that we'll be going somewhere relatively safe. What are we looking for there?

Piper: I need more training from Arygyn. 

Aerrow: Sounds good to me. Let's get back to the Condor. 

With that, Aerrow and Piper left the Fortress Inquisitorius and made their way back to the Condor. Once they made it back, they made the journey to Tython so that Piper may continue her Jedi training. Meanwhile in Cyclonia, Dark Ace meditates on the Force and feels Piper's presence. After focusing on her, Dark Ace could hear the name of a planet leaving her lips.

Dark Ace: Tython.....

In that moment, Dark Ace knew where Piper was going. He saw an opportunity to capture Piper and bring her before Darth Cyclonis. Instead of relying on others to do the job, he would undertake this mission himself. He would take Talon Squadron to aid him in his attempt to capture Piper and bring her to Cyclonia so that she may turn to the Dark Side or be destroyed.
