As Piper made her escape, Arygyn sat in the Jedi Council chambers and meditated. He showed no fear as Dark Ace entered the room. Arygyn meditated calmly as Dark Ace ignited his Lightsaber.

Arygyn: Greetings, dark one. I have been expecting you. 

Dark Ace: Where is the girl, Jedi?

Arygyn: Far from your grasp. But don't worry. You two will meet again and the fate of the Galaxy shall be decided. 

As Arygyn said this, Dark Ace began to pace around the Jedi Sage. Arygyn sat up and approached Dark Ace. 

Dark Ace: So the stories are true. There is a Sage in the Temple of Tython. A pity you have to die. 

Arygyn: I have accepted my fate long ago. I have made peace with the Force. But that doesn't mean I will not defend myself. 

Arygyn then gripped his Lightsaber and ignited a green blade. Without hesitation, Dark Ace lunged the Jedi Sage and the two engaged in a heated duel. Despite his advanced age, Arygyn held his own against the former Inquisitor. During the duel, Dark Ace pressed the attack against Arygyn and used Force Lightning to try and incapacitate him. However, Arygyn blocked the Lightning with his Lightsaber and redirects it onto Dark Ace. Dark Ace was able to recover from the attack and presses the attack on the Jedi Sage. As the two duelists locked blades, Arygyn remained calm and collected. 

Arygyn: Force of truth, show this Dark Sider his true nature. 

As Arygyn said this, a gust of wind pushed Dark Ace away from Arygyn. A blinding light soon engulfed the room. When the light faded away, Dark Ace turned to see a hooded figure standing before him. He removes his hood, revealing Ace's face before he turned to the Dark Side. 

Ace: Your eyes do not deceive you. 

Dark Ace: You are a fool, Sage. Your tricks are nothing next to the power of the Dark Side. 

Ace: That is irrelevant in this moment. You have allowed the Dark Side to corrupt you. The one true reality of the Sith is that the Sith always betray one another. To truly become a Dark Lord of the Sith, you must be ready to destroy the good that is still left inside of you. Can you do that.....Ace? 

As Ace said this, anger welled up inside Dark Ace. Dark Ace unleashed his anger on the disguised Jedi Sage. During the course of this duel, Dark Ace noticed that the fighting style implemented by the Jedi Sage was the fighting style he utilized during his time as a Jedi. 

Dark Ace: You power is weak, old man. 

Dark Ace then used Force Push to push him away. Arygyn quickly got to his feel as Dark Ace unleashed a torrent of Force Lightning. Arygyn then blocked the Lightning with his hand. 

Dark Ace: Your illusion betrays you, Sage. I know young Ace's tactics. His weaknesses. Weaknesses that are no longer my own. 

Dark Ace then begins to implement moves that outmaneuvered Ace's fighting style. Dark Ace soon gained the upper hand as the illusion was broken. 

Dark Ace: Your power weakens, Sage. 

Arygyn grew more and more fatigue as Dark Ace relentlessly batters him with power strikes. Despite this, Arygyn showed no fear. 

Dark Ace: There is no hope for you, Jedi. You will die here. 

As Dark Ace said this, a smile fell on Arygyn's face as he stood up. Despite facing certain death, Arygyn showed no fear. 

Arygyn: I have told you once already. I have accepted my face. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

Dark Ace: This is the end of the Jedi.

Arygyn: All that power and still you remain blind. The Sith always betray one another. 

Dark Ace gripped his Lightsaber and approached Arygyn. With a smile on his face, he lifted his blade in front of his face and closed his eyes. Arygyn then spoke. 

Arygyn: There is no death, only the Force. 

Dark Ace then lifted his Lightsaber and slashed across the Jedi Sage's chest. As he did so, Arygyn's physical body vanished, confusing Dark Ace. All that were left were his Jedi robes as well as his Lightsaber. Dark Ace walked over to the remains and steps on them. Arygyn was no more. Meanwhile as this all happened, Piper made her way out of the Jedi Temple. Once there, she sensed the death of Arygyn. She took a moment to mourn her master. Once she did, she moved forward and regrouped with the Storm Hawks who were still under fire. 

Aerrow: Piper! Are you okay?

Piper: I'm...I'm fine. We need to leave. 

Aerrow: What about Arygyn? 

Piper: He's...he's gone. 

In that moment, Aerrow could see the sorrow Piper was in. As more reinforcements Finn contacted Stork. 

Finn: Stork, get the Condor ready!

With that, Stork began to power up the Condor. Dove and her Rebel Squadron provided covering fire as everyone got inside. Once everyone got inside, Dove and the others entered the Condor. 

Finn: Everyone's in, Stork! Let's get the hell out of here!

Stork immediately began piloting the Condor out of the area. As the Condor took to the skies, Dark Ace exited the Jedi Temple just as the Condor made the jump to Hyperspace. His thoughts soon fell on the death of Arygyn. He thought about how he accepted his face and allowed himself to die. He looked to the sky where the Condor made the jump to Hyperspace. 

Dark Ace: Run, girl run. You're only prolonging the inevitable. 

In that moment, Dark Ace took his remaining forces and left Tython. On the way back to Cyclonia, Dark Ace would take the time to reflect on the words and actions of the Jedi Sage Arygyn. With the death of Arygyn, Dark Ace killed yet another master of Piper. Now it was only a matter of time before Piper sought him and Darth Cyclonis out. Until then, all he could do was wait.
