After a brief flight, the Condor reaches the Mesa System. Junko gathers Aerrow, Piper and Radarr and takes them to the bridge. 

Finn: Here we are. The Mesa System. Hope you got those credits ready!

Aerrow: You'll get your credits. 

Stork then flies the Condor in the Mesa System and lands in a landing pad. Once they exited the ship, Aerrow, Piper, Radarr and the Smugglers began exploring the planet.

Piper: So where do we start? 

Aerrow: The locals might know.

Piper then approaches a farmer.

Piper: Excuse me! We're looking for someone named Falon Gray. Do you know where we could find him?

The farmer simply points to a farm located on a hill. Finn chuckles at this.

Finn: Looks like the guy you're looking for is a hermit. 

Aerrow: What are you still doing here? You did the job. 

Finn: Thought I might stick around for a bit. But don't you worry, I'll let you know when I want that vault! Junko! You're with me! Stork, you watch the Condor!

Aerrow then turns to Radarr.

Aerrow: Stay with the ship Radarr. 

Radarr chirps as he goes in the Condor. Now that they have a location, Piper and the rest of her companions make way for the farm to meet Falon Gray. Once they do, Piper notices something strange about the farm.

Aerrow: What's wrong Piper?

Piper: I sense something here. 

Finn: You're kidding me right? This place is abandoned! 

Piper then proceeds to open the door. Aerrow, Finn and Junko arm themselves with their weapons as they follow her inside. As they investigate the farm, a purple lightsaber lights up and is help to Piper's neck.

Aerrow: Piper! Drop the weapon now!

Finn: You heard the man, lady! Drop the laser sword or you're gonna find yourself face to face with a Wallop!

Seeing the she was surrounded, the woman deactivated her lightsaber and let Piper go. After that, the woman began to question the group.

Woman: Talk. What are you doing here?

Piper: I'm a Jedi in training. We were sent here by Master Rahm Kota to find Falon Gray to help complete my training. 

Woman: Falon Gray is dead. He was killed years ago.

Piper: What?! 

Aerrow: You can't be serious!

Woman: I am. He was killed by a bounty hunter working for the Empire. 

Finn: Looks like that puts a dent on your plans! Now that we got that out of the way, just who the hell are you?

Woman: My name is Starling. I was a Jedi Padawan until the Clone Wars. Falon Gray was my master. 

Hearing that Starling was a Jedi, gave Piper an idea.

Piper: Then take me in as your apprentice! Train me in the ways of the Force so I can become a Jedi like my mother and take on the Empire.

Starling took a moment to think on Piper's offer. She felt unsure about it due to her not completing her Jedi Trials.

Starling: Why don't you get Master Kota to do it? He was Falon Gray's master.

Aerrow: It's why we're here. General Kota was killed fighting the Empire. 

Hearing the news that Kota was killed brought sorrow to the former Jedi. But she was not surprised considering the power of the Empire.

Starling: It was only a matter of time until Kota got himself killed. No one fights the Empire and win. Not even a Jedi. It's a fool's errand. The Empire's army is infinite. You'll eventually be killed...or worse. And nothing will have changed. 

Aerrow: So you're just going to give up?! Let the Empire win?! How can you even say that?!

Starling: The Jedi lost! I've lost countless friends to the Empire! The Republic I fought for became the very evil that we've sworn to destroy! Master Gray and Master Kota fought the Empire and look what happened to them!

Piper: So you're solution to that is to give up?! Wouldn't you rather die fighting for something than hide out here waiting for the end?! 

Starling: Better to be alive than dead. I can't train you. If you want to stay alive, then you'll give up on being a Jedi. The Jedi are gone. 

But as Starling argued with the young Jedi hopeful, a farmer frantically ran into the house.

Farmer: Starling! Starling!

Starling: What is it?

Farmer: They're back! They're attacking the settlement!

Hearing that immediately ended the argument as Starling turned to the Rebels. 

Starling: Damn it! Back so soon? 

Finn: Can someone tell me what the hell is going on here?! 

Starling: The Murk Raiders. They've been attacking this settlement for weeks. Now they're back and it looks like they brought reinforcements.

Junko: Murk Raiders?! Those guys are bad news! 

The former Jedi looked at the Rebel group and saw someone who could provide support against the Murk Raiders. 

Starling: You really want to help? How good are you all in a fight?

Piper: Master Kota trained me to handle a Lightsaber.

Aerrow: I can handle my own against Imperial Stormtroopers. Raiders shouldn't be a problem.

Finn: I'm good with a blaster and Junko's good in both muscle and that Blaster Cannon!

Junko: Not to mention we got Stork with the Condor!

Starling: You'll do. Follow me so we can push back the Murk Raiders from this place!

Starling led Piper and her companions to where the Murk Raiders would attack. On X1's personal Star Destroyer, Dark Ace approaches X1 on the bridge.

Dark Ace: Any word from the bounty hunters?

X1: None yet. 

Dark Ace: What about the probe droids?

X1: The same I'm afraid. It seems that these Rebels are more clever than we give them credit for. 

Dark Ace was frustrated by this news. The fact that a mere girl with little grasp on the Force was able to elude him. 

Dark Ace: Continue your search! Double your efforts!

As X1 continued his search for the Condor, Dark Ace returned to his private chamber. Meanwhile on a D5-Mantis Patrol Craft, Repton and the Raptor Clan resume their search for the Condor. Repton soon gathers his clan for a meeting.

Repton: Listen here! We've located the Condor! It's on the Mesa System! And if what the Inquisitor says is true, then a Jedi is there! Honor and glory await us!

Raptor: So we go in, kill the Jedi and come back to collect the bounty?

Repton: No you fool! The Dark Ace wants her alive and unharmed. The ones she's with however are free game.

Hearing that caused the Raptors to cheer loudly for their leader.

Repton: WE ARE THE RAPTOR CLAN! AND WHAT DO WE FIGHT FOR?!

Raptor Clan: HONOR AND GLORY!!

Repton: AND WHO SHALL STAND IN OUR WAY?!

Raptor Clan: NO ONE!!

Repton: LET US BRING HONOR AND GLORY TO THE RAPTORS CLAN!! LET NO ONE STAND IN OUR WAY!!

The Raptors cheered for their leader as their ship began it's travel to the Mesa System. Trailing behind them is a small Imperial cruiser carrying Ravess and Snipe. They listen in on the Raptor's communications.

Snipe: Ha! Stupid fucking lizards! They'll lead us straight to the Jedi!

Ravess: Remember what Dark Ace said, the Jedi is to be brought to him alive!

Snipe: I heard! You got the coordinates locked in dear sister?

Ravess: Coordinates locked in, dear brother! 

The race was on between the Bounty Hunter and the Imperial Officers. They would compete among themselves for the capture of Piper and the rewards that would follow. While the Bounty Hunter and Empire hunt for them, Piper and her companions help Starling fend off the Murk Raiders.
