This story takes place between episodes 3 & 4. I wrote it to explain my theory that fixes the plot hole in the Star Wars saga of Leia remembering her mother even though she only met her as an infant. However most seem to forget that Leia has the Force, therefore she probably had a bound to her mother much like the bound that Luke had with his father even though he never met him

Leia was four years old. Like most young children, she did not want to go to sleep.

"It's getting late," said Bail Organa, the only father she had ever known. "You must go to sleep now, my princess."

"I'm not tired!" the young princess protested.

"If you don't go to sleep then you won't have any dreams," he told her. "You don't want to miss your dreams, something wonderful might await you there."

"Really?" she asked.

"Yes," he answered knowing her true parents, knowing that the Force was strong within her, knowing that the Force might indeed show her something in her dreams.

"Okay," the little girl gave in with a yawn.

Bail kissed his four year old daughter on the forehead. He watched as she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. Then he left her room, closing the door behind him.

As she slept, Leia began to dream. She stood in a grassy meadow filled with wild flowers. She giggled with delight as ran through the tall grass and wild flowers.

She stopped suddenly as she saw a figure standing in the meadow just in front of her.

It was a young woman. She was beautiful, but sad. The woman seemed familiar somehow. She could almost remember her from a dream long ago, or a distant memory.

Without realizing Leia found herself walking towards her.

The woman reached down to her, and Leia found herself running into the woman's arms. She pulled the little girl in a tight hug.

"Leia," the woman whispered.

Her voice was so familiar. Leia pulled out of the hug to look into her face, but her eyes were blurry and beginning to fill with tears.

The young woman wiped her tears away. "Don't cry, my child," she said gently.

"Mother?" Leia whispered.

"Don't be sad, my child. I'm sorry I had to leave you. But I will always be with you, in your heart." Padme placed her hand over her daughter's heart.

Leia closed her eyes, she could feel her mother in her heart. They were connected somehow how, Leia didn't know how, but they were.

Leia opened her eyes. Her mother was gone.
