Never To Do's

Smoke filled the dusty air as the Star Destroyer finally plummeted to the grassy plains of Lothal. The gigantic ship wailed as it descended downwards, a few TIE's desperately trying to zig-zag their out of the ship's general direction, but with no success. It hit land hard, so hard it seemed to be roaring.

Skyler Yeager stood a decent few miles away, watching with please as yet another mission went smoothly. It was the fourth they have managed to shoot down this month, which was considered to truly be a privilege. A crooked grin appeared on her features as the scene unfolded before her. The whole ship was nearly ingulfed with an eerie orange.

"If you ain't too busy, I'd like to get back." A voice sounded behind her. She stood perfectly still, as if not even hearing it. Her light, carefree and slightly arrogant attitude shining through loud and clear. "Can't I at least enjoy my work for once?" She replied with a witty shrug. "Nope, it's grudge match night on Coruscant." Her face pulled into one of complete annoyance at the sentence.

"Oh, I almost forgot about that murderous bet you made. With that Zabrak, wasn't it? Savage, if I'm correct." She said, the sarcasm laced in her words. She turned around, the annoyed look still plastered on her face. Storm gave her an innocent smile, only setting her off more. "I will not be so generous of saving your sorry ass this time." She countered with a slight growl in her tone. The Clone Trooper's eyes glinted in amusement. "What makes you think I'll be needing a helping hand?" He answered smugly, crossing his arms arrogantly. The female eyed him in total irritation. "You always need one. Cause the last few times I checked, your kriffing ass would have been fried if it wasn't for a little interference." She snapped, pushing a finger to his chest. "Well then I guess it's time for me to man up, don't you think? I was bound to become an ARC back in the days, so I'm feeling pretty confident." The male challenged, beaming her a toothy grin.

"I suddenly regret saving you." She mumbled, her vibrant green gaze boring into his soft hazel one.

"That's why I'm so thankful to have you. Such an optimist!"

"Let see how optimistic I can get." She threatened, slightly raising her knee to his lower parts.

"Now now, let's not get too optimistic." He gulped, slowly backing up a step. Getting Skyler angry was never your brightest idea. He cracked a nervous smile at the woman, trying to avoid her colourful swearing at any costs. With a sigh of outright irritation she took a swift stride forward, giving the man a slight shove. Yelping at the sudden change of stances, Storm stumbled backwards. Skyler's lips pulled into a small grin, complimented with a dark look in her eyes as she walked off to where her prized X-Wing was docked.

"If you're still planning on drowning in your own blood tonight, ya better get a move on." She called over her shoulder at the Clone, mockingly. Storm stared after her for a few seconds before jumping to his feet and made a wild dash after her.

Coruscant's air was filled with a crisp City scent, that of a bubbling atmosphere. The X-Wing flew low to the buildings, sliding and landing into the first open docking station it could find. True, this planet wasn't overrunning with bucketheads or Inquisitors, but it was a place rogues and galactic pirates fancied.

Skyler groaned as the ship's engines shut down, the low zooming getting softer. Her view was currently a shirtless trooper stretching out as if he was a trained gymnast. "I swear I'm not your rescuer this time around." She smacked him upside the head as she trailed to the ramp. It opened with a slight groan, resulting in echoes bouncing off the walls. Storm followed in suite, grinning like a whacked up Imperial, to her dismay. She turned her head away, avoiding his eyes at all costs.

"Oh come on Skyo," he started up at her. "He's a kriff-dog with a wannabe attitude."

"I ain't saying nothing." She replied oddly calm. She walked on with her carefree manner and took a left, starting down in a street that looked rather banged up. Graffiti decorated the building walls, which were rusted up. The scent of the City was long gone, replaced by a foul odour of waste and beer. She gagged at the smell, her nose scrunching. Storm came up behind her, grasping her shoulders. The action made her jump slightly with her hand on the blaster pistol instantly.

"Calm down, Sniper." He chuckled lightly, gripping her hand away from the weapon. "Next time I'm sticking it up your cloned butt." She countered, only relaxing the slightest bit. "That would be really inconvenient, don't you think?" He challenged back, earning himself a hardened stare from the rebel female.

The pair finally reached an opened up bar with a fair seventy or so heads inside. Storm grinned arrogantly as he entered, followed by a colourfully cursing rebel. Skyler scouted over to an unoccupied table, watching as her friend stubbornly marched to the center of the place.

"So, did that lowlife horn head show?" He asked the old bartender cleaning off a table. "You should watch your words son." He mumbled. Just then a yellow hand with black tattood prints yanked Storm's shoulder, whipping him around. The trooper yelped softly, straightening his posture as the sudden whiplash wore off. "Aye, I was just talking about you!" He beamed, giving the Zabrak male a spiteful two-fingered salute.

"I see you were stupid enough to actually come. Thought a trooper was made to remain sane during challenges likes these and to choose the smarter outcome. In this case, to never have shown up." Savage spat, his mood already set on high. "I'm a man of my word." Storm replied in a tone of confidence.

'This is gonna be delicious.' Skyler thought to herself, leaning back into her seat. Storm really did pick a rough one tonight, by the looks of it. In fact there was no question about it, he was in for a beating. Skyler glanced around the place in a bit of curiosity. Her green gaze landed on two figures opposite side of the room. Their eyes cut between her and Storm, filled with an emotion of utter surprise. The man was a bulking blonde, a few scars littering his exposed skin. If she was to throw a quick glance at the male, she could have sworn he looked like a trooper. The woman next to him had more of an agile built, with hair the colour of dark honey. Skyo stared at the two moments longer, analysing their appearances carefully.

Skyler's eyes hit home just in time to see the yellow Zabrak's knee jolt up between Storm's legs. That sent the clone wailing in agony on the cold hard floor. Only now did she notice that a pleasant amount of blood covered the concrete base of the floor. But what made her breath hitch in her throat and her mouth run dry, was when the Zabrak pulled out the likes of a lightsaber and activated it.

Faster than a Jedi's senses, Skyler was before Savage with her pistol aimed at the male's skull and her lips pulled into a snarl. "Ya move one inch closer to him, and I'll be putting a bolt between your eyes, right where it belongs." She spat defensively, keeping up a dominant posture. The words barely affected Savage as he positioned the illuminating saber to strike. Skyler's index finger tightened around the blaster's trigger, but before she could end the confrontation, the male's eyes widened a bit before his body plummeted to the ground in a heap.

Stunned, she looked up to see the young woman holding a pistol similar to hers. Catching onto the expression on Skyler's face she pulled a grin, swinging the blaster playfully. "Stun bolt." She replied to the unasked question, with a hint of mischief in her tone. "T-Thanks." Skyo mumbled, helping a badly beaten up Storm to his feet. "No problem! My name's Bryn. This is Sicarius." She grinned while gesturing towards the larger man. "Skyler." She replied with a slight nod.

"Best if you two leave before he wakes up." The bartender motioned towards the rusted doors. Skyler nodded once more and pushed the clone towards the exit. "See you around." The woman she came to know as Bryn smirked. Skyler replied with a similar look on her face as she marched her companion forward.

"N-No...wait! I can still...take em'." Storm's arrogant voice rang out bluntly. Skyler glared him down in blind rage.

"Shut up!" She barked, shoving the fool of a trooper out the door.
