Improvisation

There was nothing they could do. It was over. The bindings around their wrists were all the evidence you needed, to know they were plainly screwed.

Skyler cast her gaze downwards, ashamed of being a fool to fall them all into this trap. Dengar proved more of a challenge than she anticipated, and her skills with the Force was raw and dangerous.

For the first time in her life, she felt an intensifying fear crawl over her skin. Her two men, clones Stormy and Blitz, stood on either side of her. She could see the rawness of Blitz's wrists as he had tried freeing himself from the restraints. No luck came from it, though.

"I'm sorry for getting us into this," Skyler mumbled, her shoulders slouching.

Blitz glanced at her, his eyes rather soft for a change. "If you didn't take that mission, lots more would've been lost," his tone was soothing, and for a moment Skyler thought him to be a different man.

Blitz was never this soft in front of his enemies, he would usual hide it away until he had a breakdown and went crawling to Skyler.

This put her even more on edge. Could this really be the end? After years of eliminating small-time Imperials and doing tag-out jobs for fellow rebels, was this the day they finally face their downfall?

Stormy looked at Skyler, then at Dengar addressing a stormtrooper, then back at her again. He seemed to draw her attention and gave her a long look. His face stayed blank, but something in his eyes shimmered. It didn't take a Jedi to see he was up to something.

"See Yeager? I warned you not to play with fire. You might be a slippery bunch, but the Empire will rise above all." Dengar gave her a menacing look. The air was thick with tension, and her gaze dropped again.

"I need to pee," All eyes turned to Stormy as he casually stood staring at Dengar.

"What?" The man looked completely caught off guard. Well, everybody did.

"As in use the refresher? You know, the oval office." Stormy shrugged, starting to shift postures. Dengar at the point questioned not only the trooper's emotional stability, but was also lost of words.

"Look if you don't want me going, I don't give a Sith's butt to do it right here, but there's a lady present." Stormy cracked an innocent smile, still shuffling from left to right. After seeing no response from the man, Stormy half shrugged his shoulders again. "Well, alright then,"

"Hold it!" Dengar said quickly, motioning a stormtrooper to his side. "Escort him to the refresher, and return immediately after," the man commanded. The stormtrooper gave a curt nod and slightly shoved Stormy forward. "Thanks, buddy," Stormy smiled in complete arrogance as they left. Dengar's glare made him look as if he could spit fire any moment.

Dengar shook his head, scoffing. "Why he was never disposed of is beyond me,"

"All clones are equal," Skyler spat harshly.

"Don't start this again," Dengar growled, edging closer to her. Blitz gave him a threatening look, and the man chose to keep his distance.

Minutes passed and the thudding of footfall against durasteel echoed off the walls. A stormtrooper came to a standstill in front of Dengar, pitched forward as to catch his breath. "Sir...he got...away!" He managed to say between breaths.

"What?" Dengar growled, "I work with fools!" He calmed himself, then turned to Skyler. "Unfortunately you won't see him draw his last breath. But rest assured that I'll let you say farewell to his lifeless body," he then turned on his heel. "Watch them," he ordered the stormtrooper.

"Yes sir!" He saluted.

Dengar ignored the series of curses and threats directed to him as he left. The door closed behind him, and all was silent.

"Have fun, smartass?" Skyler snickered as the stormtrooper pulled off his helmet.

"I can't decide what's worse. Not having common sense or having terrible aim," Stormy replied, shoving the helmet to the side. Blitz was not only going through a faze of shock, but he was gaping at his brother. "How the hell..." he trailed off, not finding the words.

"Skills. You either got them, or ya don't," Stormy pulled a smug look as he removed the restraints and high tailed for the door, followed by the other two.

"I question your sanity," Blitz muttered from behind.

"Who doesn't?"
