This was suggested to me by SammyYell13. Also sorry for not updating yesterday but my parents grounded me so here we go.

*How could have this happened, how could have this happened* Ezra constantly said to himself as they had to take Sabine to the med bay on the the carrior ship. "Move out of the way" Hera kept yelling at the other rebels so she could get her daughter to a medical droid. When they got there the medical droid asked for them all to leave, they waited there for about 2 hours before the medical droid came out. "What's wrong with her!" Ezra yelled then Kanan placed an hand on his shoulder and gave him the stare to be patient. "She has sustained too much damage, I don't believe she will be able to make it" the droid said, "well can't we donate to her, maybe she just needs a replacement organ or a blood donation" Hera said trying to bring her and the crew's hopes up but the droid said "she has both her kidneys cracked, her heart is badly damaged, and her blood type is o positive, few people have that blood in the rebellion and requiring both organs would kill both donaters, I'm sorry but its impossible" "may we go see her" Kanan asked. When the crew stepped in Ezra rushed over to her side looking at the state she was in and couldn't help but blame him for all of this happen.

Flashback

It was suppose to be a simple mission to grab medical supplies, food, ship parts, t-7, and shield generators. During this mission Sabine led the attack and under her command was Hera in the ghost, Ezra in his mandalorian ship, along with Phoenix squaderan, and the y-wing bombers. The mission went easily for the moment but stuff like that never stays that way, a destroyer had showed up bringing more ties. Ezra was suppose to be Sabine's wingman but left her side so he could take out the destroyers shield in which Phoenix squaderan managed to take out but all the ties attacked her and eventually destroyed her ship. "Sabine!" Ezra yelled as he saw her body floating in mid space, he managed to take out all the ties and Hera got Sabine inside the ghost.

Present

Ezra kept crying into her shoulder regretting what he did, none of the crew wanted to bother him but eventually Stahl went up to him and patted him on the shoulder. "We can still save her" Ezra said loud enough so that the crew could hear " I'm sorry Ezra but we can't do anything this time" Stahl said sadly, Ezra looked up at him in anger and stood up fastly and punched him in the face making Stahl fall to the floor, "YOU ARE SO EASILY READY TO GIVE UP ON HER, YOU DIDN'T EVEN LIKE HER FROM THE BEGINING!" Ezra yelled. Hera was about to say something but Stahl stood up grabbed Ezra's shirt, pinned his back against the wall and brought his hidden blade to his neck. When Zeb saw this he pulled out his bow-rifle to Stahls head ready to kill him if he moved his blade closer to Ezra, "I'm not so easily ready to give up on her Ezra, yes I didn't like her when I first joined the crew but I see her as my sister and you heard the doctor" Stahl said in the calmest voice he had. He moved away from Ezra making Zeb bring down his rifle "may I get a moment alone" Ezra asked, the crew respected his request and left him alone. Little did they know that Ezra had stolen Stahl's blaster and as he sat down next to Sabine, he said his final words to her "I don't know if you can hear me but if you can I just want to say that I'm sorry for not protecting you, now I'm going to make up for what I did, you have to be the one to live, the crew needs you very much *sniff* and so I have to be the one to give up my life because I love you and I always will Sabine." Ezra said, he leaned in close to her face and kissed her because he knew he would never get a chance to do that again. Ezra stood up and brought the gun to his head and as he did, he started to remember all the moments he shared with her realizing that this was his final moment with her, before he pulled the trigger he said "goodbye Sabine" and let darkness take over his vision.

Outside the med bay

Ezra had taken a long time time to say his goodbyes to Sabine because they all knew even chopper that he loved her with all of his heart, but when they heard a gun shot they all yelled "Ezra!" and ran in the med bay to find their young members body lying dead on the floor with a westar-15 in his hand. The crew broke down into tears as they saw their lifeless crew members body, but decided to honor his sacrifice and did surgery to his and sabine's body.

After surgery

When Sabine woke up she didn't feel to good, but felt better when she saw her family and they all came up one by one to hug her, well most of them. When she took a look around and didn't see Ezra she asked "where is Ezra?" the crew just looked down with had tears in their eyes "what happened" she asked worried of the answer she would get, Hera came up to her daughter and sad in a sad voice "your wounds were so bad to where the only way to save your life was for someone to give up theirs and Ezra took it upon himself to be the one to do it". When Sabine heard this she broke down into tears Hera hugged little girl and let her cry into her shoulder, Stahl walked up to her with a data pad in his hand and said with a sad voice "I recorded Ezras last words to you and I think he would have wanted you to see this" Sabine took the data pad and nodded towards Stahl who nodded back. Sabine decided to let the whole crew see it since they weren't here with him and they watched it all the way to where he said "goodbye Sabine" causing some of the members to look away. After the video ended Sabine rewinded it back to when Ezra said "...I love you..." and kept rewinding it a few more times before she let it play to when Ezra kissed her then she stopped the video to observe it for a while, Sabine looked at the image for a long time before saying "I love you too Ezra and I always will, thank you" then she turned off the video and decided to get some sleep.

One month later

When Sabine was able to go back on the ghost she went to her room and painted a picture of Ezra and Sabine holding hands watching a star destroyer fall towards a planet. Next to the picture she wrote...
Thank you for your sacrifice Ezra, I miss you very much.
