Set in clone wars

I was a mechanic who worked on the ships for the clones. When I first started I was surprised by how nice most of them where. My favorite clones being the 501st, and no that's not because my secret husband is the Captain... okay maybe it is, but can you blame me?

"How's work?" A voice asked.

I smiled as I turned to see Rex holding his helmet.

"It's going good. You boys about to head out?" I asked with a smile.

I stood up and he sent me a smile as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Yea, I think the General wants you to come too. Something about needing a mechanic."

"Well we should have fun then." I said as I sent him a wink.

"Just don't get killed, I'd hate to have to bring you back to yell at you." He said with a laugh.

"Please, I'm bullet proof baby." I said as I pulled him down and gently kissed him.

I jinxed myself and I jinxed myself bad. I felt the pain of a blaster hit me and I let out a yelp of pain as I was thrown backwards. I heard Fives yell my name and I tried to sit up but couldn't. I looked down and silently cursed my luck. Rex was going to kill me if my wound didn't.

"Easy!" Kix exclaimed as I tried to raise up.

"How bad is it?" Fives asked as he gave us cover fire.

"Um, it's bad. I think the blast might of hit a major organ." He said as he looked me over.

"Rex is gonna kill us." Fives groaned out.

I heard a com go off and I saw Kix's eyes go wide.

"This is Rex. Is everyone okay? We can see the fighting." Rex's voice said over the com.

"Um, we are all fine, everything is good here." Fives said quickly.

"Are you sure?"

I felt a sharp pain in my side and let out a gasp.

"What was that sound?"

"Yep, um we could use some medical help... we have a few injured and one critical." Kix said as he bit his lip.

"You still didn't answer me, what was that sound? Was that (Y/n)? Is she safe?"

"Perfectly safe, never been safer. Um, gotta go! See you when you get here." Kix said before he hung up.

"You just lied to Rex." Fives said shocked.

"I panicked!" He yelled.

"Rex is gonna kill all of us." Jesse said as he covered his face.

It wasn't long before backup arrived and they helped clear the droids out. I soon saw Rex and as soon as his eyes landed on us he sprinted towards me and slid to he ground beside me.

"I thought you said she was safe!" Rex yelled as he looked at Kix.

"I... I panicked." He said calmly.

Rex looked at me and then at the injury.

"You're gonna be okay." Rex said as he gently squeezed my hand.

"Don't... don't be mad at Kix, I told him to.. gasp.. to lie." I said as I held my side.

"Hey, Just stay with me. Don't you dare leave me." He growled out.

I sent him a small smile before I felt my eyes slowly close. The last thing I heard was Rex yelling my name.
