Hera is 19 and Kanan is 20

Every year on the planet of Ryloth, there is a great Ball for all the rich and famous fmilies. My father, being a resistance leader, was allowed to attend.

He brought me and also brought one of his allies, Numa. Me and Numa are actually really close and she was like a sister to me. She was real nice to me and would get mad if someone hurt me, she was great.

We arrived at the Ball at around 8 at night. When we walked in, the place was packed up with people from around the Galaxy.
"You two behave yourselves" my father told me and Numa as he walked off.

Me and Numa decided to walk around and talk to people, have a drink or two, and danced around.
As Numa danced and I laughed, my attention was turned to the entrance of the  Ballroom.

In walked a group of diffrent people, but one cought my eye. It was a man, amazing turquies eye's and brown hair tied up. I don't know why, but my hart just elxpoded, like BOOM!

I then found myself trying to get his attention all night, but I was to nervous to go up to him and talk to him. No, I have to be an awkward person and not say anything.
Then the dand started playing music, meaning it was dance time.

I wanted to dance with him, but I didn't know how to talk to him. I walked over to Numa and grabbed her by the arm, then whispering ,"this one's mine"while pointing at the man.

Numa smirked and started walking away, or more like started walking towards the man.
"NUMA, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, NO NO NO NO NO NO" I paniced to myself in my mind.

I watched as Numa walked over to the man, talked a bit and grabbed him by his arm. "Im so screwed" I thought to myself. I then noticed that were both making their way over to me.

I knew what Numa was doing. She wanted us to talk. Oh God in going to humiliate myself. No. Don't think like that. Just stay calm and everything will me fine.

I took a breath in and walked over to them.
"Hera, this is Kanan, he's a rebel also fighting against the Empire" Numa told me.
Kanan. What a amazing name.

"Kanan, this is my friend, Hera" Numa explained to him. "Hera, what a beautiful name" Kanan told me.
"T-Thank you. Your name is to" I told him, stuttering a bit.

"Thank you for all your serious. Knowing that other people also fight with us is nice" I told him.
"If it takes fighting a war for us to meet, it will have been worth it" Kanan told me.
Numa smiled and walked away.
"I'll leave you to it".

After that night, me and Kanan stayed in contact to each other. Everyday, he would send me a massage, and I would send one back. This continued for week's and months. We always met each other and talked.

Numa would always come by and ask what we were talking about but we would just laugh, not wanting her to interrupt are convertation.

Then one day, when me and Kanan were walking around Ryloth, he asked me something, something that made me overjoyed.

"Hera, we've been together for nearly a year and a half and I wanted to ask you" Kanan began spoke, grabbing both of my hands. "Will you make me the happiest man in the galaxy, and be my wife?" He asked me.

At that momont, I was cried tears of joy, and hugged him like I never hugged him befor. "Yes. Yes I will" I replied, overjoyed.

After that date, I ran home and found Numa and my father in the living room. They looked over at me. "What's gotten into you? You look like the happiest woman in all of Ryloth?" Numa asked me.

"That's because I am" I replied. "What, why?" She asked. "Kanan proposed. He proposed to me!" I yelled out with joy. "What!? Really, omg I'm so happy for you" Numa exclaimed as she stood up and hugged me.

I then looked over to my father, who didn't look so happy. "If he wishs to marry my daughter, he can think again" my father spoke. "Please father. At least give him a chance?" I begged of him.

My father never really like Kanan. He said he was a rouge rebel and that he was human, something he didn't like, since the Empire only consisted of human's.

My father let out a sigh. "Alright. I'll give him a chance" my father replied, leaving me with a smile.
The next day, I told Kanan and he nearly had a panic attack. I knew Kanan always got nervous around my father, thinking that he wasn't good enought.

"Don't be silly,just keep your head up and be yourself" I told Kanan, calming him down. He agreed and we both went back to my home.

As soon as.we entered, my father stood infront of us. "I would like to talk to you alone for a momont" my father told Kanan.

Kanan nodded his head and left the room and into the command room with my father.
I was getting worried now.
What if my father says no? What if I'm never allowed to see Kanan again?

I started walking back and forward in the room untill Numa walked over to me.
"Don't worry, it'll be fine" she reasured me. I nodded in response, but I didnt feel any better.

After a few minutes of waiting, I decided to see what they were talking about. I peaked my head throught the door to see Kanan and my father talking to each other.

"And why should I let you be with my daughter?" My father asked Kanan. "Because I care about her alot, and I want to be with her. I know you don't like me at all but I am begging you, please let me have your daughter, I will keep her safe and make sure she is happy" Kanan begged my father.

My father stood up from his chair and made his way over to Kanan. I sighed. He's going to tell Kanan to leave. My relationship is over.
But what my father said next, was shocking.

He shook Kanan's hand. "You better threat her well. Don't make me regret this" my father told him.
I seen Kanan smile and thank him like he just gave a million credits.

Kanan ran out of the room and over to me. Before he could say anything, I hugged him, like if I let go of him, he would disappear.

Sorry it's crappy once again, but with exams tomorrow, I am super stressed.

Anyway, Idk what I should do for the next one shot.
1) a My Hera Acadamia AU  (may be some Sabezra)
Or
2) a draft for a new book I am doing.
