Now takes place in season 3

*10 years later (shocking isn't it)*

Lately everyone on the base has been noticing that Hera and Kanan have been... Depressed lately, and no one knew why.

Ezra, being curious, wanted to know why they were so upset. He went to ask Kanan first before asking Hera because Hera has been in her room all day alone. Ezra went to find Kanan and found him near the perimeter of the base, medatating.

"Hey Kanan, could I ask you something?" Ezra asked his master as he sat down next to him. "What is it?" Kanan asked. "Well lately you and Hera have been acting.. Upset. I just wanted to know why?" Ezra asked.

Kanan was silent for a moment. He sighed. "Today..Is a upsetting day for me and Hera" Kanan said. "Why?" Ezra asked. "Because...We lost someone..Someone special to us this day a few years ago" Kanan replied sadly, looking down.

Ezra was quite for a moment. "I...I'm sorry to hear that" Ezra spoke after a few moments of silence. "It's okay. Maybe you should speak to Hera and ask if she is okay" Kanan suggested.

"I will" Ezra replied as he stood up and went to the Ghost to find the piolet, leaving Kanan to his memories and thoughts.

Ezra walked around the ship called the Ghost, looking for Hera. He checked the common room, nothing. The cargo bay, nothing. The cockpit, nothing. He then thought​ of any other place she would be. The only place he didn't check was her room.

Ezra walked down the hallway and made it to Hera's door and knocked on it. "Hey Hera are you there?" Ezra asked. There was silence at first untill the door open to reveal a tired, upset Hera. "Hera are you okay?" Ezra asked her.

She took a breath in. "I'm fine. I'm just upset about today" she replied as she wiped a year from her eyes. "What's today?" Ezra asked, wanting to know what was going on.

"I don't like talking about it" Hera replied. "Come on please. If you talk about it, you will feel better" Ezra told her. Hera thought about it for a few moments. "Promise you won't tell anyone" Hera asked him.

"I promise I won't say a word about it" Ezra replied with a smile. "Okay. Let's talk in the cockpit. Hera told him as they walked down the hallway. They soon made it to the cockpit and sat down in the seats.

"This day, a few year's ago, we lost someone very dear to us" Hera began. "Who was it?" Ezra asked. Hera was silent for a moment. "Caleb. He would be around your age if..." Hera trailed off. "If what?". "If that trooper didn't shot him" Hera replied sadly.

Ezra was silent for a moment. And then realization came to him. "Was he.your son?" Ezra asked being curious. He nodded. "I'm..I'm really sorry to hear that. I never knew" Ezra said sadly as he looked down.

"It's fine.. It's just upsetting that's all" Hera told him. There was silence between them for a while.

"If you don't mind me asking..What did happen to him?". Hera looked at him sadly but nodded.

"It was 10 year's ago. Me, Kanan and Caleb were walking in Lothal when Caleb went to look for something. We agreed and he ran off. A few minutes passed when we went looking for him. When we did..We found that he had been shot, right in the head by a trooper. Kanan shot the trooper while I went to Caleb to try and keep him alive. I failed and he passed" Hera explained as she started to cry a bit.

"Wait when was this?" Ezra asked. "10 years ago today. A week after Empire day" Hera replied to him.

Then a memory came to mind. Ezra remember that he was running from a trooper when he ran into a boy. They only meet for a few moments before Ezra pushed him so he would have more time to run away from the trooper.

If the kid he pushed all those year's was the same Caleb that Hera was talking about them, "I..I killed him" Ezra mumbled to himself. "What did you say?" Hera asked him. Ezra looked at her and guilt filled him.

Ezra was the reason Caleb died. If Hera and Kanan found out, they would hate him. Ezra jumped out of his seat and ran to his room, not wanting to tell Hera.

"Ezra wait what's wrong" Hera called but he didn't listen.
