Kanan's pov

When I entered the control room, I gasp in shock. The room is filled with enough smoke to knock you out. "Hera?!?!" I shout searching the place. I hear a small cough in the corner of the room.

I rush towards the noise covering my face from the smoke. I use my light saber on my other hand to help me see better. That's when I find Hera on the floor gasping for air. "Hera I'm here." I say and help her up. "W-what....h-happened?" She asks in a weak tone.

We get out of the control room and let the smoke escape through the door. Sabine and Zeb both take notice of this from their room and come out. "What happened?" Sabine asks just like Hera. "I don't know. Something must've went wrong with the......wait where's Ezra?" I ask looking around the hallway.

"Oh force I left him in the common room!!!!!" I shout and run towards the door finding it hard to open. "Zeb can you help me?" I ask him tugging on the door. Zeb then comes to my side and we both use all of our strength to open the door. After a few minutes, we finally get it to open.

What's inside makes all of our jaws drop. The room is a total mess. Papers everywhere, furniture all over the place, and our table is missing. "What in karabast happened here?" Zeb asks. "We will worry about this later, but right now we need to find Ezra." I say.

Rex then appears into the room. "What happened in here?" He asks in total shock. "Everyone please stop asking that." I say. "Just search the ship and tell us if there's any sign of Ezra."

"Wait Ezra's missing? Oh no you didn't leave him alone did you?" Rex asks in an angry tone. "I heard an explosive. I thought he was right behind me." I say. "Well he wasn't and now Alex probably has him!!!!" Rex shouts. Everyone gives Rex a confused look. "Why would Alex have him?" Zeb asks.

"We will explain later but right now everyone search the place." I tell them. That's when everyone leaves the common room and splits up into each room. Sabine went into the kitchen, Zeb went into his room, Hera was searching the vents, Rex searched everyone else's rooms, and I went to the entrance. In result, no Ezra.

We all meet back into the common room, or what's left of it. "Find him?" I ask Sabine as she comes out of the kitchen. "No." She says disappointed. Rex then enters the room. "No sign of him." He says in a sad tone. Behind him, Zeb comes in. "He's not in my room." Zeb says.

Hera then walks in slowly with her head down. "Any luck?" I ask her. She just shakes her head. Ezra is really gone. "This is all my fault." I say depressed. "No Kanan don't say that." Hera says lifting up her head looking at me.

"It's true isn't it? We knew to not leave him alone and I did." I say. "You left him alone because of me. The explosion was probably my fault." Hera says. "No it wasn't, the explosion was a diversion." Rex says. "This was all caused by Alex. And if we just stand around here and blame each other then he will succeed with his plan."

We all stare at him. "It pains me to say this but Rex is right. Ezra needs our help so we can't waste any time." I say. "But the question is how do we find him?" Zeb asks. "With my tracking device." Rex says. Tracking device?

"Uh you put a tracking device on him?" I ask a little angry. "Because I knew this was going to happen. So instead of arguing about it let's use it." He says. I give a small groan. Rex then leaves the room and goes into the control room.

Everyone follows him except for me. I search the common room for any clues on what happened here instead. The table is definitely missing for some reason. But that doesn't give me any clues. After 10 minutes of searching the messed up room, Hera calls for me to come.

I rush into the room and look at Rex desperately for answers. "Did you find Ezra's location?" I ask him. "Well....." Rex starts off. I give him a look of confusion. "What does that mean?" I ask. "It means that we got Ezra's signal." Sabine says. "But.....it says that he is located here on the ship."

What? How's that possible? We searched everywhere......did we? "Maybe you should do it again." I say. "We did while you were playing detective." Rex says. "I was searching for clues, at least I don't put trackers on people without telling anyone." I say.

"I already told you the reason for that." He says. "Well you could've at least told me about it." I say. "Guys stop arguing and look!!!!" Hera shouts pointing at the tracking system. We all look at it and see that it is starting to glitch."Wh-" Before I could finish, the system shuts down.

"Alex must've found it." Rex says. "What do we do now?" Zeb asks. "Well it said that he is still on the ship so let's search again." Sabine says. "We can't waste more time on that. Kanan which room did you leave him in?" Rex asks me. "The common room." I say.

"So we will all search there and figure it out from there." He says. We all nod and head back into the common room.

Few hours later.......

We all have become restless finding Ezra. The sun went down an hour ago but I am not even thinking about sleeping. The key word is I. Everyone else.......are half asleep. "Maybe we should take a break." Zeb says. "Take a break? We need to keep looking." I say.

"I think he's right Kanan. There's nothing else we could do right now till the morning." Hera says. I sigh in defeat. "Ok fine we will continue in the morning." I say. That's when everyone goes to their rooms like they were sleep walking.

I sit down on a chair. How could I sleep when my padawan is with that man? I should've been more protective. All of a sudden the phone rings. But not the normal one......the broken one!!!! I pick it up slowly. "Hello?" I say. No answer. "Hello?" I say again. No answer. I was about to put it down till I heard a small hello through the phone.

I put it to my ear again. "Hello?" I say for the last time. "Hello.....Kanan?" A voice says in a whisper. "Ezra?"
