Kanan's POV

I round a corner and catch a glimpse of a couple Imperials taking away another couple of prisoners.

I start walking away when I sense a huge force signature that almost knocks me over.

I feel the force, calling me to the small house, as if there's something the Imperials forgot.

I listen to the force, as my master had taught me to do when I was young.

I walk into the house and I hear weeping coming from a corner.

I follow the sound, and find its origin to be a small child.

Blue hair, tan skin, orange jacket, pants and boots.

I pick him up and run back to my apartment, here, on Lothal. When I get there, I set him on my bed and pull out the sofa bed for me.

I only hope he doesn't freak out when he sees me in the morning instead of his parents. And how exactly do you explained to a child, that his parents were taken away by the Empire?

Maybe I can just take care of him until I can find him a real home. A real home, where someone can love him like a parent and watch out for him.

The next morning

Ezra's POV

I wake up to the smell of yummy oatmeal. I look around to see either mommy or daddy walking out of the kitchen. But no one comes.

Suddenly, I realize that I'm not home.

Where am I?

A man walks into the kitchen and puts two bowls of food on the table.

I watch him carefully as he eats, then he notices that I'm awake.

"Hey" he says gently

He walks over to the bed he put me in. I am now standing next to it.

"Where's mommy and daddy?" I ask immediately.

"Uh...."

3rd person POV

Kanan's not really sure what to say. He doesn't want to hurt the kid's feelings when he'd barely seen him.

"What's your name?" Asked Kanan, trying to change the subject

"Ezra bridger, my mommy and daddy are Bridgers too."

"Where are my mommy and daddy?" The young Bridger asks so innocently

"Th-they said for me to take care of you while they had to do some stuff of their own. My name's Kanan."

"When will they come back?"

"I don't know kid, I don't know." he sighs
