Obi-Wan Kenobi
You were clearing up dinner when you heard the sound of thunder. Another storm. You groaned. Kamino is a great place to hide but a terrible place if you don't absolutely love rain. And thunder. And lighting. And the absence of the sun. You washed your dishes and left them to dry, turning the light off around you before heading to your room for some much-needed sleep.
When you left your home to be a medical technician you had no idea you would find yourself staying on a secret base monitoring the growth and development of hundreds and thousands of clone troopers. You were the third-generation technician to take the job and you loved it. Except for the solitude. Aside from inspecting hand-picked clones and the occasional meeting with a Kaminoan, you were pretty much in solitude. Not that it bothered you too much. You were used to it.
But what you weren't used to was the sound of banging on your glass wall, throwing you into a fit of panic. You pressed yourself against the wall, peeking over your shoulder to get a look at who was standing in your backyard which consisted of no yard but a landing pad for your small transport ship.
A hooded figure stood at your glass doors, face hidden and quickly becoming drenched. You were about to send a signal to the Kamino leader when the figure looked up and you caught a glimpse of his face, blue eyes glinting in the small strip of light that came from the hallway you were about to walk down.
He reached up and knocked again, snapping you out of your stupor. Quickly you stepped forward and let him in, his soft chuckling not escaping your ears nor leaving you unaffected. With him in you closed the door and took a good few steps back. Suddenly remembering you were in just a nightgown, you wrapped your arms around your middle.
"Can I help you?"
Obi-Wan didn't move too far into the warm home, just enough to get out of the rain and let you close the door. He looked up and flashed you a smile before lifting his hands and pulling down his hood, shaking some of the water off his brown robes. He tried not to stare as he addressed you, his reason for being on this rainy planet momentarily forgotten.
"Forgive me. I was not aware this was someone's home but it was becoming too hard to fly in the rain."
His red hair shown with a bit of dampness, and his robes were nearly soaked. His smile was genuine and his eyes were kind. Yet you could tell he didn't miss anything around him, his senses aware at all times. Even the way he stood made you assume he knew how to handle himself in any situation. Including ones where he barges in on unsuspecting women at their homes. But you were pleased to feel he posed no threat.
But that didn't mean you completely trusted him.
You gave him an understanding nod. "Yes, I don't blame you. But as you can see I wasn't planning any visitors." You felt a blush as you took another step back to where your room was.
He gave your body a once over before looking you right in the eyes, a slight blush appearing on his cheeks as your own blush grew. "Ah, yes. I don't plan on being here long if that's any consolation. Just until the rain lets up for a moment."
You laughed hard. He clearly hasn't visited this planet before. "Oh well then, in that case, let me get you something to eat. After I make myself decent." You nodded to the windowed wall where the rain hit harder. "As you may not know, Kamino isn't known for short downpours. You might as well make yourself comfortable."
Obi-Wan raised his brows, following your gaze out the window. "Thank you, I suppose." He turned back to you, bowing kindly. "Again, please forgive my intrusion."
You smiled. "As long as you forgive me for my poor hosting skills. I don't get many visitors. I will be right back. Please, sit." You motioned for him to take a seat on your couch. "You can hang your cloak by the fire."
You didn't stay to watch him get settled, rushing off to your room to put on something a bit more presentable. Not only was he handsome but surprisingly kind. Seeing as how you couldn't just send him out, you might as well let him stay. Perhaps it was time to brush up on your human interaction skills.
Obi-Wan did as you said, draping his cloak on a rack by the archaic fireplace. Despite the apparent technical advancements of your place, you had various items from much older times. A fireplace, a wall of books, a basin for washing, and pictures framed on the walls. He smiled to himself as he walked around, admiring your collection of writings. Most were of medical and technical works making him assume you had some connection to the mystery that brought him here.
He heard you coming back and he turned to greet you. His eyes widened. You had traded in your robe and night clothes for a flattering olive green jumper over a white shirt, your hair pulled up into a messy bun. Obi-Wan cleared his throat and nodded to you, reaching out his hand.
"I don't believe we were properly introduced."
You smiled shyly as you took his hand, trying to ignore how nice it felt to just shake hands with someone, albeit he was a handsome someone. "Good thing we don't stand on ceremonial greetings around here. (Y/n) (L/n). Resident Medical Technician."
Obi-Wan smirked as his assumption was confirmed. "Obi-Wan Kenobi."
"Master." You gave him a respectful dip of our head, a smirk on your lips.
He blinked. "Excuse me?"
You pointed to his saber at his side and the lack of braid behind his ear as you walked into the kitchen. "You are a Jedi Master, are you not?"
Obi-Wan nodded, clasping his hands behind him as he followed to sit at the bar across from you. "You are correct, though we aren't exactly popular at the moment." His stomach growled at the food you started to prepare.
You sent him a kind smile, having heard it too. "I had a close friend whose child was picked at a young age to train. A prestigious role I understand."
Obi-Wan chuckled. "That's one word for it. So is tiring and, at times, puzzling."
Placing a plate of food in front of him, you leaned your elbows on the counter, resting your chin on your hands, giving him a puzzled look. "So, I take it you are here on Kamino for more than a shower in the rain."
"Thank you for the food." Obi-Wan took a bite, nearly letting out a sigh. Swallowing, he shook his head. "No, I am here for a bit more than that."
You stood, clearing the kitchen. "I would assume so. It's not every day we pick up weary travelers in this part of the galaxy. And Jedi Masters at that." You folded your arms and squinted your eyes slightly. "We aren't exactly easy to find."
Ob-Wan had made quick work of his food, setting the plate aside and taking in your skeptical stare. "I suppose it is quite unsettling to have your hidden planet found."
"Yes, it is. You are also a Jedi so I can only assume you also know of what is hidden here." You watched as he pulled something out from a small pouch on his hip.
"Not quite, but I have a few inquiries that I hope to resolve." He placed the small item on the counter, scooting it over to you. "Through a trying ordeal, I found this. I was told by a reliable source that it was created by a Kaminoan."
You picked it up, studying the tiny dart, as it were. It seemed familiar and your blood ran cold but you feigned innocence. "Interesting." You handed it back to him. "And what do you plan to do now that you are here?"
He tucked it back in his pouch then reached up to stroke his beard, clearly a habitual action. "I am unsure who I am to see but that is where I hope you can help me." Obi-Wan met your eyes, his gaze nearly pleading. "If you wouldn't mind. I am in need of some answers and it seems this is the place to find them."
You looked out the window and signed. You knew where that dart was from and if he was here because he found it or was around who had fired it meant that he also ran into some very valuable information or was about to and it needed to be taken care of. Obi-Wan was on the fast track to finding out soon enough. Either you eased his task or made things harder for him. You bit your lip. But if you stayed quiet, the suspicions you had about the clone template would also go unanswered.
You turned back to him, warming at finding his eyes already on you. You nodded to the couch. "Come. We have some things to talk about. But please understand that I can't tell you everything. For both our sakes."
Obi-Wan's expression relaxed considerably, a small smile reaching his eyes. "Thank you, (Y/n). You are very kind."

You told him as much as you dared. So far you had just confirmed what he already knew, which clearly pleased him. Obi-Wan wanted to stay longer and talk more but the rain was starting to let up. Unsure how long the reprieve would last, he reluctantly stood, bowing.
"Thank you again for all your help and the spontaneous hospitality."
You waved it off. "A happy inconvenience. I just hope you can find what you are looking for." And he could tell you meant it. Even though you couldn't share everything he had a feeling it was enough for him to go off of.
Obi-Wan reached for his robe, putting it on with ease. But before he turned to leave he felt a hand on his arm. He turned to you, question in his eyes. You glanced around nervously then held his gaze.
"After you have found out all that you could, please, come back."
Obi-Wan was taken aback, but couldn't deny the slight tingle of eagerness that swelled within his chest. "May I ask why?"
"I have questions of my own I would like answered without having the fear of losing my job." You dropped your hand from his arm. "Besides. I think I have a feeling you will need someone to talk to, if anything, to help you understand what you just learned."
His brows raised as he folded his arms, his back to the glass doors leading to his ship. "Is it all that surprising?"
You shrugged one shoulder. "I suppose being in the field that you are, nothing surprises you now but keep an open mind. The Kaminoan people do as they are asked and have no second agenda."
He nodded. "I will keep that in mind."
You smiled. "Good luck."
He gave you a kind smile in return with a little bow. "I am indebted to you, (Y/n). I hope to make it up to you."
You laughed. "Come see me after you are done and we can go from there."
"I look forward to it." He turned and you opened the doors, the roaring of the rain having quieted to an annoying drizzle. He turned back to you, lifting his hood over his head, his face slightly shadowed. "Until then." And he was gone.
You stood there and watched as his ship took off, already eagerly awaiting his return.
