"Between Saw's extremist troops and the Empire occupation do you really think it's a good idea to just fly into Jedha like it's some holiday? Is there nobody a bit more... trained the rebellion can send?"

"Oh, I see. You don't think I'm good enough to be a serious part of the fight against the Empire, do you think I should just sit in the back and make dinner for everyone?"

"Jyn you know that isn't what I mean." She pushed your hand away as you tried to rest your palm on her shoulder.

"Please, what exactly do you mean then? Because how it looks to me, you simply think I'm incapable of helping." She tried to push your hand away again but this time you held on firmly and spun her to face you. "If you don't leave me alone, I'll bring you to Jedha with me and I'll leave you there in bathrobes and tell the troopers that you're a jedi."

"Jyn I'm scared."

"Yeah... and you think you're the only one? Do you think I want to go skulking around an active warzone, because I have my hobbies, and I wouldn't really class that as one of them? Unfortunately, I must go and find the plans to an Empire weapon that is apparently so powerful, it can turn entire planets to dust."

"For what is possibly the first time in my life, I'm not scared about the Empire. I know you, and I know that you could take on a whole star destroyed and come out the other side with little more than a scratch. I am more scared that... scared that you might not be so lucky. It would only take one blaster bolt or one explosive charge going off at the wrong time and you're nothing but a pile of pockets for the Empire to sift through and that's it, I lose you." Jyn smiled softly and cupped your cold cheek in her welcoming, cosy hand.

"I know the dangers, I would never hurt you if I didn't have to, and I know how much losing me would hurt because I feel exactly the same way about you. We both know this is something that I have to do, it's more than me and you, it's about the fate of the universe... not to be dramatic or anything."

"I don't know when I'll be able to see you once you leave for Jedha, I'll find a way to be in contact with you though. Can you promise me that you'll be okay?"

"Of course, I promise."
