Cara Dune- Fear (a)
Between the three raiders with itchy trigger fingers and the imperial walker staring you down with an intent to kill, there was very little hope you had of escaping and ever seeing your children again. Repeatedly you ran through Cara and Mando's training in your head, over and over again, but nothing they had said covered being at the end of the barrel of a rifle. Pleading was futile, you weren't even sure if they spoke the same language that you did and even if they did you could there was nothing you could say to decrease their bloodlust and greed.
"Put the rifles down!" Cara yelled at your attackers as Mando charged down the walker, dodging its cannon fire and trying to disable it's legs. The raiders paid no attention to her, not even moving their gaze away from you, they just stayed intent on filling you with fear and dread before filling you with holes. "Okay, I guess they aren't going to listen." She rose her rifle, took only a moment to line them up in her sights and with one fatal shot they all dropped motionless to the ground. "Come on, we need to get out of here." She grabbed your arm, still mostly frozen in fear you just went to whatever safety she led you.
"You saved me." You muttered, still deafened from the barrages of blaster rifle fire. "I didn't do anything; I was just going to let them shoot me." She looked carefully over you, making sure you hadn't sustained any injuries.
"It's happened to the best of us, the important thing is that you're still here... are you still okay to fight?" She constantly checked over her shoulder, eager to go and help the people of the village. "Because if you aren't, it's fine, but we need to make sure you're safe with everybody else."
"No... no, I'm fine. I can fight, I don't know what happened to me before. I think I lost my blaster though." Cara ran her hands through her hair in frustration at the ongoing fight.
"I don't think we have any left." She pulled her pistol from her hip and handed it over.
"Are you sure?" She looked over at Mando and noted him struggling against the walker, she waited eagerly by the door but refused to leave until she was sure that you were okay.
"I don't need it. I'd rather another person fighting on our side."
