...

Being a Jedi, it wasn't very easy for you to get distracted. Your whole life you were trained to not let these sort of things get to you and most of your life you stayed true to that, but you just couldn't help it when it came to Obi-Wan.

He was always the one person you cared about more than anything. The one person you would do anything for, break any rule for - even the Jedi code.

Ever since you met him, there was a certain connection between you both and over time, that connection slowly turned into love. A love that was unbreakable and pure.

It was years and years ago, but it still feels like it was only yesterday and you loved him just as much.

They say you shouldn't grow attachments as a Jedi. The both of you were very aware of that and you respected it. When you first realized you were becoming attached, you had agreed to stay away from each other, to not pursue your feelings, but you just couldn't fight it. Your love for him was strong and his, the same. Neither of you could bottle it in.

Your love never did distract you from your work, you started to believe the Jedi code was just a lie because everything seemed to be going smoothly for years. Sure, you did get in fights and disagree every now and then but nothing was ever enough to break you, until now.

You had gotten into a really bad fight the last time you had seen him. You can barely remember what the fight was about as your vision was too clouded by the aching pain it caused you.

It was yesterday, he simply walked out on you in the middle of the fight after some angry words were spit and you hadn't seen him since. You weren't sure if he even loved you any more. You were starting to doubt everything.

You figured you were going to be seeing him today, you were given a mission with his troops and surely, he wouldn't miss it. But as you stood waiting for the mission to commence, he was nowhere in sight.

These were his troops. You had your own army to command yet you were sent to command his troops... alone. Was he really so upset with you that he dropped out of a mission and left you to take over?

"Ready to move out," You command the army of troops surrounding you, shaking yourself from your thoughts. You run quickly to the ship following behind troops that were marching onto the ship. Your eyes never stop moving around, just hoping Obi-Wan was actually here, but he wasn't.

"[Y/N]!" A voice calls from behind you causing you to whip your head around.

"Anakin!" You greet as you see him walking towards you. "Is Obi-Wan not joining us on this mission?"

"He didn't tell you? He's staying back."

"No, he didn't tell me." He gives you on a concerned look.

"Why not?"

"Well, we got into a pretty bad fight. I haven't seen him since yesterday."

"Oh." He breathed, switching his gaze to the ground. Anakin thought back to the interactions he had with Obi-Wan today. He did seem a bit irritated and upset. This must have been why.

"Right, okay. Can you tell me the mission?" You ask. Anakin gives you an odd look. The fight must have been really bad, he thought, both you and Obi-Wan seemed distressed, something the two of you never were.

"You really have been out of it, then." He comments and you send him a glare. "There was a Separatist invasion. We're heading to the ground to fight them off."

And with that, the ship jolts as it enters the planet's atmosphere.

"Maybe you should stay back - stay away from the battle." Anakin tells you as the ships lands. He was truly worried about your safety and believed you weren't fit for battle. He was just hoping you'd listen and not cut his head off.

"Why?" You snap, sending him a questioning glare.

"Well, you seem pretty distracted with Obi-Wan and all I just thou-" He doesn't get the chance to finish before you interrupt him.

"Don't even finish that. I can handle myself in any situation, under any circumstances, got it?" You snap, grabbing your saber from your belt. He gulps back before nodding, "Good."

The doors of the ship open slowly and as soon as the metal hits the ground, the Clone troopers march out of the ship and straight into battle, you and Anakin following close behind them.

The glistening sun of the planet hits your skin and you take in the sight of armies all around you. Igniting your lightsaber, the green glow lights the ground before you swing it at a nearby enemy.

You waste no time fighting off enemies. With a swift swing of your saber, you sent several enemy troops down in one blow.

You barely paid any attention to what was going on around you as you were only focused on what was happening directly in front of you because every second there seemed to be another enemy lunging towards you.

Once your sights were clear, you look around to see more and more armies being sent in, they were taking down your troops without hesitation and they only seemed to be growing larger.

"We're overwhelmed! What do we do?" Anakin calls out from nearby as he blocks countless blaster shots with his lightsaber. You watch as more of your troops fall to the ground, worry filling you every second.

"Fall back!"

Before you could get the chance to turn around, you sense an enemy attacking. You use the force to push them back and they're sent flying through the air. You hoped this would give you time to escape but instead, it only draws attention to you and several more troops run towards you.

You swing your saber, defending yourself from their attacks as well as you could when you feel a sharp pain sting through your entire body.

"[Y/N]!" You hear Anakin's panicked voice call out from the distance but it was muffled. Another sharp pain shoots through you, causing you to let out a loud groan before you fall to your knees. The pain was just too much to bare so you let the darkness seep in.

As soon as that first blast hit you, Obi-Wan felt it. He felt the pain, he heard your screams. He knew you were hurt, badly.

Nothing but regret and grief filled him as he felt your fall. His fist thought was that he may never see you again and the last thing he would have said to you was hateful.

All he could do was sit and wait for your ship to return and it killed him. It killed him not knowing if you were okay, it killed him knowing he couldn't help you, but most of all, it killed him knowing that when you went into that battle, you were already full of hurt that he had caused.

He watched the sky carefully, just waiting for the ship to land. His eyes never left the window until the ship finally came into view. He rushed to the hanger to greet the ship, pushing past countless bodies that stood in his way as he navigated the halls.

Finally reaching the room, he watches several of his injured troops stumble past as others drag them along, helping them walk. Panic starts to settle in as more and more troops file out of the landed ship but you never come into sight.

Anakin was the last to come out, you laid limp in his arms, blood staining your clothes. He was in a such a rush that he didn't see Obi-Wan waiting.

"Anakin!" Obi-Wan called out and his head whipped over, his eyes filling with relief as he seen him.

"She was shot twice with some sort of blaster," Anakin stumbles on his words as he rushes over, placing you in Obi-Wan's arms. "You have to get to the medical center, right away."

Obi-Wan wastes no time running straight to the center. Everything seemed to become a blur as he entered the white cover room, handing you over to the care of the medical droids. The whole moment felt like inside a dream as he watched you disappear from his sight.

He fell to his knees, not caring about anything around him. All he cared about in this moment was you and he tortured himself with the thought of the last time he saw you, the last words he had said to you.

Hours passed as Obi-Wan waited outside the room you were kept in. It was agonizing just waiting, not knowing. It felt like he'd been there for days, weeks, drowning in his own thoughts.

"Sir," A robotic voice speaks and Obi-Wan's head shoots up, "She is in stable condition but it looks like she might not wake for a while. You may see her now."

Obi-Wan keeps his calm as he enters the room. Tears brim his eyes as he see's your almost lifeless body laying on the bed.

He lets out a small, shaky sigh as he walks over, grabbing a chair nearby and sitting down right by your side.

And that's where he stayed. He barely ever left your side as days passed and you still hadn't awoken. Anakin made an appearance every now and then, mostly just trying to get Obi-Wan to take a break and leave for a few hours but he wouldn't.

The room was silent as Obi-Wan watched your chest move up and down gently. His eyes widen in shock as he suddenly hears a small groan. He watches your face carefully, waiting to see if you would wake up. You hadn't made a sound since you've been out so he was sure this must have meant you were waking up.

But nothing, your eyes were still rested shut. He let out a frustrated sigh, relaxing back into his chair placing a hand on his forehead, his gaze glued to the ground.

Your eyes start to flutter open, the light of the room hits your hard and you struggle to adjust to it. Once you do, you look around confused and then your eyes laid on Obi-Wan and you smiled,

"I wonder how long it will take for you to notice I'm awake." You say jokingly. Your voice was harsh and low but it still caught Obi-Wan's attention and he immediately looked up, his eyes widened in shock before a large smile spreads across his face.

"[Y/N]! You're awake!" He yells out, standing up and grabbing your face in his hands before placing a kiss on your forehead. "I'm so so sorry. I should have never walked out on you during that fight. It was stupid and I regret it more than anything. I'm sorry. Please forgive me." He stammered.

"You're forgiven," You say weakly, sending him a small smile.

"I was so scared. I thought I was going to lose you." He whispers, holding back tears.

"You won't get rid of me that easy." You chuckle, bringing a hand to caress his cheek.

"Good." He whispered back before connecting your lips to his.
