You're scaring me (Kylo Ren/Ben Solo)
The night was cold, dark, and silent... Too silent for anyone's liking. Flames decorated every building, fallen padawans lay on the ground still, limp, and silent. Despair, and as well as tragedy painted the scenery that you saw last of the academy. A scenery you wanted to forget, but can't.
It was supposed to be a nice day. You were suppose to wait for his arrival at the courtyard. So that you can tell him how you feel... You have waited, bickered so long with your thoughts. But he didn't arrived.
You slowly, anxiously walked towards near the burning temple. Tears threatened to fall out of your eyes, a cry wanting to get out of your lips. There were all dead. All of them. Your friends that you pretty much treated like siblings.
"N-no...," you fell on your knees, watching in terror. Your eyes frantically darted to each direction, seeking for any survivors... But all you saw was the cold bodies of the fallen padawans. It was such a shame. All of them were too young to die. All of them couldn't have lived to use their abilities.
You tried to concentrate to sense a living padawan. You felt another life joining the force. It was then you saw a dark figure, slowly approaching you. Your eyes focused on the walking figure, until you felt familiar with the aura it gave off. It cold, yet familiar... And then it hit you.
"BEN!" You ran to your fellow padawan's arms, embracing him, letting his warmth engulf you. You felt that something was wrong, but ignored it.
"Ben is gone." You pulled away in alarm. You glanced at his face. Wrath filled his face. His chocolate, brown eyes used to be warm and caring, but now it was replaced by a cold glare and a wanting of power.
"W-what do you mean? Where are the others? Who did this?" You said with a nervous laugh. "Ben, you're standing right in front of me-!"
"I SAID HE IS DEAD." You flinched at the sudden rise of his tone. He never raised his voice at anyone before. Even if he did, he would quickly apologize.
"And the others? Where is Master Luke?" You frantically spoke.
"Luke is a fool. He deceived all of us." He lowly spoke. "I killed them."
Your eyes snapped wide open, mouth agape open. "B-Ben, i-it can't be... No... You? Killing younglings? No... This isn't possible." You began to cry...
"Oh but it is." You shook your head.
You always knew that Ben was troublesome whenever you leave his side... And now... He just made another mess... That you were not able to fix.
Ben was no more. He wasn't the Ben you use to meditate with, to spar with, to mess with... He wasn't the same that you used to love. A demon took over his senses, making him into a mad, killing machine who is obsess of finishing the steps of his grandfather. From this moment... You knew that you're going to loose him.
"Ben, please... Stop!" Tears already made it's way out. As much as you hated to, but you already lost control over your body and actions. "You're scaring me!" You cried, taking his large hand in yours.
"You should be." He coldly muttered. With your other free hand, you covered your mouth to muffle your cries.
"Ben, please! Stop now! Please!" You cried, clutching his hand tightly. "Please... Come back, Ben..." You let yourself embrace him once again.
"It's too late now..." You felt a huge, wave of pain pierce your chest, a green hue shone brightly. You pulled back, seeing his conflicted appearance. The lightsaber shrunk back down. You reached for his face, stroking his cold, now sticky, cheek. You leaned close, enough for your lips to touch his. Before you gave your last breathe, you mumbled words enough for him to hear, that actually made his heart and realization shattered.
"I love you... I always have..." After breathing those words out, your body became limp and cold, yet he held you tight. A pang of pain, guilt and anger conflicted inside him. A loud scream broke out of his chest, tears seeping out of his eyes with regret.
But because of what he did, he already sealed his fate... Forever. And he can't take it back. He can't turn his back away from it all. It's already done, and he did it well and regretted it. It will haunt and taunt him for the rest of his life.
What have I done...?
