(Three weeks later)

Y/N's P.O.V

So it's been three weeks since I took Kira as my Padawan, and as she's still new to this she's having some trouble adjusting to the way of a Jedi. But I expected that as all force sensitive's at her age have trouble adjusting at first.

She's eager to learn though, so that's good.

Kira has now sorta become like a little sister to me, which is nice as I always wanted a little sister or brother for that matter.

Kira is also warmed up to the other's a lot, especially mum as mum did always want a daughter and Kira has kinda become that for her. Finn and Poe have been teaching her how to shoot. Rey, Ben and I have been teaching her how to fly.

BD-7 and BB-8 like her too.

We're currently on a mountain side on Ajan Kloss training, with Rey, mum, Ben and Finn watching nearby. Kira is doing a handstand as she focuses on letting go.

Y/N: Focus Kira, focus on letting go.

Kira: Letting go? I'd rather hold on if you don't mind.

Y/N: Enough jokes, focus.

Kira groans as she does her best to stay up right.

Kira: I'm trying Master.

Y/N: Do or do not, there is no try.

Kira: What does that mean? How can I do something if I don't try to do it.

Y/N: Uh... well you see... yeah, that one always confused me to but my Master sure used to say it alot.

After a bit of planned distraction from Finn to test Kira she ends up falling.

I go over and help her up.

Kira: Does Finn have to be here?

I look out at the view.

Y/N: He's annoying, but there's always gonna be distractions Kira. You have to learn to focus through them.

Leia: He's right Kira.

I then get an idea and turn to Kira.

Y/N: Here, let's try something else.

I unclip Master Katarn's lightsaber from the back of my belt and hand it to Kira.

She looks at it in awe.

Kira: Master, when do I get my own lightsaber?

I put my hand on her shoulder.

Y/N: Kira, having a lazer sword doesn't make you a Jedi.

Kira: (Whispers) It's me closer though.

She then activates it nearly stabbing me in the face in the process.

I back up quickly and stand to my feet.

Y/N: Woah! Careful!

She has trouble holding it due to the blade's size.

I kneel down behind her and put both hands on her shoulders.

Y/N: Okay, so there's a control on the side that'll adjust the length to your height.

She turns the control and the blade shrinks down to her height.

Kira: Wow, I didn't know a lightsaber could do that.

Y/N: Not all of them can. My Master built in the control as when he first started training me, he let me use his saber.

She nods as she understands.

Y/N: Okay, now you need to focus block the blaster shots from the remote.

The training droid then flies in

After a few minutes Kira starts to get a hang of blocking for the most part.

Y/N: Remember Kira, a Jedi can feel the force flowing through them.

Kira: You mean it controls your actions?

Y/N: Somewhat, but it also obeys your commands.

As Kira continues to block the blaster shots she then gets hit a couple of times.

Kira: Ow! That hurts!

I then pick up the practice helmet and go over to Kira.

Y/N: Okay kiddo, try it again. But this time act on instinct.

I put the helmet on her head.

Kira: But Y/N with the blast shield down I can't see. How am I supposed to fight if I can't see?

Y/N: Kira, your eyes can trick you, don't always trust them.

She nods.

After a couple hits Kira manages to block three shots back to back.

I smile at this.

Y/N: See. You can do it.

She takes the helmet off and smiles at me.

Ben: Yeah, and who woulda thought your actually a good teacher.

Y/N: Thanks Ben, your support means the world to me.

After that we head back to base.

(Six weeks later)

After another six weeks of training I decide that it's time for Kira to take a real test to see if she's ready to become a Jedi. I believe this is the right time to do so as she's really progressed in her training.

I think it's fitting seeing as Ben did the same to Finn two weeks ago, and now Finn has he's own blue lightsaber.

So after talking to Kira, she and I along with BD-7 take the Falcon and fly out of Ajan Kloss' atmosphere.

Kira then uses the force to locate a Jedi temple as this is a part of the test.

She locates a temple on Corellia of all places. I only knew a temple was there as I used my holocron to find it out.

(Planet: Corellia)

We fly the Falcon down on the outskirts of Corellia where the temple is.

Kira: Y/N, did you know there was a temple here?

Y/N: Until I checked the holocron I had no idea. Though it makes sense that the force would bring you to this temple as this is your home. Now, you should figure out how we get in.

She nods and goes to take a look around. While I meditate.

Kira: Master, I can't find a way in. Can you please give me a hint?

Y/N: Don't look, listen. Use the force to listen to the place and it's story.

Kira then figures out that only a Master and Padawan can open the entrance together.

Once we open up the entrance we go inside and Kira looses focus which causes the door to close.

I look at her sternly.

Kira: What? Dead guys are distracting.

Just then another door opens up behind us.

Y/N: Go on Kira, this is a path you have to walk alone.

Kira: What?! Where will you be then?

Y/N: Right here. With the other Master's who's Padawan's never returned.

Kira: You're putting your life in my hands?

Y/N: You put your training in mine.

She hugs me.

Kira: Master, I'm scared.

I kneel down infront of her.

Y/N: It's okay to be scared Kira. Just don't let your fear take over. The force will be your guide. Okay?

She nods and walks to the entrance.

Y/N: Good luck.

Kira walks in and as the door closes behind she looks back to me.

Kira: Wait, what am I looking for?

Y/N: Nothing and everything.

Kira: But that doesn't help.

Y/N: I know.

The door then closes.

Y/N: That's what my Master told me.

(Twenty minutes later)

Kira's P.O.V

After conquering my fear I finally take a sigh of relief and slump down against a pillar in the temple.

???: You have faced big fears today young one.

Kira: Yes.

???: Are you ready for what comes next?

Kira: Yes, I am.

???: Good.

Kira: Who are you?

???: A guide.

I then look up and see what I've been told is a force ghost appear infront of me.

???: My name is Kyle Katarn. Your Master was once my Padawan.

I stand up.

Kira: Master Katarn.

He smirks.

Kyle: That's right. Now, come with me young Kira. Allow me to help you see more clearly.

I then follow Master Katarn through the entrance.

Y/N's P.O.V

I've been sat here for twenty minutes now and Kira still hasn't come back yet.

Now I'm starting to worry.

Y/N: Ah, she's taking too long.

I go to stand when I hear a familiar voice.

Yoda: Patience young Solo. Remember nothing of your own training?

I kneel back down.

Y/N: Master Yoda, you're here.

Yoda: I am here, because you are here.

Y/N: Thank you Master.

Yoda: Thank you? Nothing have I done. Hmm. Changed, something has.

Y/N: I've taken on a Padawan, Master.

Yoda: Padawan? Hmm. Now Master, you are. Of this decision, honest you must be.

Y/N: It's true. I'm honestly not sure of my decision to train Kira. Not because her, but because of me. Because of who I am, and what I've done.

Yoda: A dangerous time this is for your Padawan, for you.

Y/N: I know Master. I can sense it. I feel like her abilities are growing faster than I can teach her.

Yoda: You sense, or you fear?

Y/N: I lost my way, more than once. I won't let Kira lose her way, not like I did.

Kira's P.O.V

After following Master Katarn into a dark room he asks me why I must become a Jedi.

I answered by saying that I want to protect people so they don't have to lose someone they love, like how I lost my parents.

Matser Katarn smiles at this.

Kyle: There's a difficult path ahead of you Padawan. You may have what it takes to be a Jedi.

Master Katarn disappears but I look up to see a green light shining.

It then come towards me and something falls into my hands.

I open my hands up to see a green crystal.

Y/N's P.O.V

After a few more minutes I see the door open up and Kira walks out.

Y/N: So, how do you feel?

Kira: Different, but the same.

I smile.

Y/N: Yeah, I know what you mean.

Kira: Oh, and I got this.

She shows me a green lightsaber crystal.

Y/N: I don't believe it. That's a kyber crystal.

Kira: Wait, what's a kyber crystal?

Y/N: It's a lightsaber crystal Kira.

She gasps at this.

On the way out of the temple she tells me about talking to Kyle and how he helped guide her.

(Five days later)

Myself along with mum, Ben, Rey and Finn are sitting in the Falcon waiting for Kira, who's still building her lightsaber.

Finn: Kira's been working on that saber for five days. How can she build a lightsaber with all the crap that's laying around on this ship?

Y/N: Well, I still had some working parts left over from my original saber. And some other spare parts I've collected over the years.

Rey: I've gave her some tech too.

Ben: Yeah, so did I. She's very specific on what she was looking for though.

We then hear the door open and see Kira come out.

She pulls out her new lightsaber and hands it to me.

Kira: I thought you should check it out first.

I take the lightsaber, look at it and move around in my hand.

(A/N: So, this is Kira's new lightsaber.)

Y/N: Wow, this is good. Well balanced. It's perfect for you.

I hand it back to her.

Y/N: Go ahead. Go for it.

She takes her saber and activates it. The lightsaber's green blade brighten up then room.

In that moment Kira was one step closer to becoming a member of the new Jedi Order.

All we need now is a place to train more force sensitive's.

So next mission find a location for the next incarnation of the Jedi Order.
