Y/N's P.O.V

So, Sabine and I have just been shot down by T.I.E fighter's that were sent after us.

We managed to walk away from the crash, but we'll soon have the Empire on our tail.

She and I are working on hiding the hyperdrive for the Defender.

As we carry it I look up and see a white Loth-cat.

Y/N: Come on. This way.

We follow the Loth-cat and it shows us a gap between two big rocks.

Y/N: There we go. We can hide the hyperdrive in there and come back for it later. We'll make better time without it.

Sabine: How'd you know that was here?

Y/N: I followed the white Loth-cat.

Sabine: White Loth-cat? Are you sure you didn't hit your head in that crash?

Y/N: I'm telling you, I saw a white Loth-cat. You know what, it doesn't matter. Let's just hide this thing.

We drag the hyperdrive over to the gap and slide it in there.

I push a smaller rock to cover up the gap.

Sabine: Good thinking, Flyboy.

Y/N: I do my best.

Just then I hear a howl in the distance.

Sabine turns to me.

Sabine: Y/N, you coming?

Y/N: Uh, yeah. Let's go.

I grab the data recorder and leave with Sabine.

We need to get back to base before the Empire finds us.

(Two hours later)

It's now dark out and the Empire has search parties looking for us.

We run across the plains to avoid the ship's spotlights.

Sabine and I come to a stop and narrowly miss a ship as it flies over us.

Sabine: Did they see us?

Y/N: No, I don't think so. We gotta keep moving though. It's too dangerous for us to be out in the open like this.

Sabine: Agreed.

I hear a howl again and turn to see the white Loth-wolf I saw before.

Sabine: Y/N? Y/N!

I look at her.

Sabine: What's going on with you? You've been acting strange ever since we crashed earlier.

I look out to see the Loth-wolf is gone.

Sabine looks in the same direction and takes off her helmet.

Sabine: What is it?

Y/N: I... I thought I saw something. I think it's a Loth-wolf. It's weird.

Sabine: A Loth-wolf? Like from those old Cave paintings?

Y/N: Yeah. My dad used to tell me stories about them when I was little.

Sabine: Okay, but why is that weird?

Y/N: Well, Loth-wolf's haven't been seen on Lothal in over a hundred years, but I think I keep seeing one today.

Sabine: What do you think it means?

Y/N: I don't know. I...

I look behind her and see the white Loth-wolf up close.

Y/N: Sabine!

She turns to see the Loth-wolf.

The Loth-wolf moves in close.

Loth-wolf: Sleep.

Sabine falls into my arms unconscious.

Y/N: Sabine! What did you do to her?

I grip my lightsaber on my belt as the Loth-wolf sits.

Just then I see two Loth-wolf pups come out from behind it.

One with white fur and one with black fur.

They come over and move up against me.

I let go of my saber.

Y/N: Hey there.

I look up and see the white Loth-cat on the Loth-wolf's head.

Y/N: I can't believe it. I thought I was just imagining things earlier.

The Loth-wolf growls at it hears the Imperial ships nearby.

Y/N: I'm glad you don't like the Empire either. They're looking for us.

The Loth-wolf comes closer and I put my hand on it's nose.

He grabs Sabine by her collar and helps me get her up.

Y/N: Are you sure it's okay?

The Loth-wolf lays down to let us get on.

So, I get Sabine on before grabbing her helmet and the recorder.

I get on behind Sabine and hold her up.

Y/N: Okay. Let's go.

The Loth-wolf takes off and the Loth-wolf pups run alongside him.

And he avoids the spotlights from the Imperial ship's.

I smile.

Y/N: Thank you.

(The next day)

Earlier the next morning we make it back to base.

The Loth-wolf lays down and I get off.

I then gently get Sabine down and gently lay her on the floor.

I stand and turn to him.

Y/N: I don't understand. Why did you help us?

Loth-wolf: Dume....

Hera: Y/N!

I turn to see Hera and the other's coming over.

Hera: Sabine!

She kneels down next to Sabine.

Hera: Thank goodness you're both okay.

Zeb: How'd you get back here so fast?

Y/N: Didn't you see the Loth-wolves...

I turn to see the Loth-wolf and the pups are gone.

I look down as Sabine slowly gets up.

Y/N: Sabine?

She groans.

Sabine: I don't remember seeing anything. I just heard you say, "wolf."

I look to Kanan and he shrugs.

Hera: Is that the...?

Y/N: Flight data recorder from the T.I.E Defender Elite. All Sabine's idea.

Sabine: We got the hyperdrive too. Stashed in the rocks near the crash. I think it'll work in our U-Wing.

Zeb: Then we can come and go off this planet. Well done, you two.

Rip: Yeah, you did good. I'll let your sister know you're okay. She was really worried about you, both of you.

The other's leave, but Kanan stays with me.

Y/N: Kanan, there were Loth-wolves. And there's something more to it. I just don't know what.

He puts his hand on my shoulder.

Kanan: I believe you. All paths are coming together now.

Y/N: What does that mean though?

He shrugs.

Kanan: I don't know. We'll have to find out when we get there.

He and I walk off to join the other's.

I have a feeling the Loth-wolves aren't done with us yet.

And they'll be a big part in our fight against the Empire on Lothal.
