(The next day)

Y/N's P.O.V

My team and I along with my dad are back on Crait.

We brought dad back here for a debriefing with the members of Rebel Command.

Right now I'm outside the base mediating.

Just then I feel Sabine behind me.

Y/N: You know I can feel you there, right?

I hear her laugh.

Sabine: Yeah, I figured.

I open my eyes and look to my left to see Sabine.

She kneels down next to me.

Sabine: What are you doing out here? Your dad is inside, you know?

I chuckle.

Y/N: I know. I just wanted to mediate alone for a bit. Speaking of my dad, how's he doing?

Sabine: He seems to be happy just to be free and be here. He's with the other's back on the Ghost. He told us about your talk.

I nod.

Y/N: I figured.

My dad and I spoke. He told me about my mother's death.

The Grand Inquisitor did kill her like he said, but my father survived his attack on them.

Sabine: So, how you feeling?

Y/N: Well, it's good to have closure on what happened to my mother. But...

Sabine: It still hurts.

I nod.

Y/N: Yeah. I'll be okay though.

We both stand up.

Y/N: Come on, let's go back.

Sabine: Alright.

We go back inside and head back over to the Ghost.

She and I board the ship.

I go into the lounge to see dad talking with Zeb and laughing.

I walk over to them.

Zeb: So, after that the kid crashing the walker into the ground and somehow walks away from it.

Dad laughs.

Y/N: Zeb, what are you telling him?

Dad looks at me.

Rip: Oh, Zeb here was just telling me about how you hijacked the walker on Kashyyyk.

Y/N: Cool. Thanks, Zeb.

I look at dad.

Y/N: How you doing, dad? You okay?

Rip: I'm great. I promise.

He stands up.

Rip: You've really surrounded yourself with a good group of friends.

I smile.

Y/N: I have. They've done alot for me.

Rip: That's good.

He sighs.

I tilt my head.

Y/N: Dad, what's going on?

Rip: Nothing. Everything's fine.

Y/N: I know it's been twelve years, dad, but you still have the same "I've got something on my mind" face.

He sighs again.

Rip: Well, I know your sister is out there and I think I should go and stay with her for a bit.

Y/N: You wanna leave? I mean I know you wanna see Serena, but the Rebellion needs you. I still need you.

He chuckles.

Rip: Are you kidding me? You're a Jedi Knight and a grown man now.

Dad puts his hand on my shoulder.

Rip: As much as I hate to admit it, you're not a little boy anymore. You've proven you can take yourself. You don't need me.

I nod.

As much as I want dad to stay, I know he wants to see Serena.

I don't want to be selfish, but I just wanted my dad back.

Y/N: I understand, dad. I can take you to her. I haven't told her about you being alive. She's gonna freak out.

We both laugh.

(The next day)

Dad and I are getting ready to leave Crait.

Hera is letting us borrow the Phantom.

Kanan comes over to us.

Kanan: You two ready to then?

Y/N: Yep. We're ready.

He looks to dad.

Kanan: It was good to see you again, Rip.

Rip: You too, Kanan.

The two shake hands.

Rip: Thank you for everything you've done for, Y/N.

Kanan: It's been my pleasure. Your son is a great man.

Rip: That he is.

I look to Kanan.

Y/N: Thanks, Kanan, but it's time for us to go.

Kanan: Alright, kid. I'll see you when you come back.

Y/N: See you, Kanan.

He and I hug before pulling away.

After that dad and I go onto the Phantom and I fly out of the base.

I fly the Phantom into space and go into hyperspace.

(Two hours later)

(Planet: Ahch-To)

The Phantom comes out of hyperspace over Ahch-To.

Rip: So, this is where your sister is?

Y/N: Yep. She's been training her with a Jedi Master. His name is Rahm Kota. 

Rip: Are you sure she's down there?

I smile.

Y/N: I can sense her, she's down there.

I fly the Phantom down and go towards the nearby island.

After that I look out to Serena comes down the steps.

Y/N: I'll greet her. Wait here.

I stand up.

Rip: Okay.

I open the door and walk out.

Serena sees me and stops.

Serena: Y/N.

I smile.

Y/N: Hey, sis.

I walk over to her and we hug each other.

We then pull away.

Serena: What are you doing here?

Y/N: Some things have happened, Serena. There's someone here to see you.

I turn and see dad come out of the Phantom.

Rip: Hey, baby girl.

Her eyes widen.

Serena: Dad?

She runs over and hugs him.

I smile.

Mum may not be here, but our family is back together.
