(Two weeks later)

Y/N's P.O.V

It's been two weeks since I joined the crew of the Ghost and became Kanan's Apprentice.

Though Jedi training has been lacking, before now I've only had two Jedi training sessions.

It's like he's only training me half-way.

Right now I'm on top of the Ghost with Kanan, Zeb, BD and Chopper as it hovers in the air.

I'm doing a handstand on the turret gun.

Kanan: Focus, Y/N. Focus on letting go.

Y/N: Letting go? I'd rather hold on if you don't mind.

Kanan: Enough jokes. Focus.

I groan as I do my best to stay up right.

Y/N: I'm trying.

Kanan: Do or do not, there is no try.

Y/N: What does that mean? How can I do something if I don't try to do it?

Kanan: Uh... well you see... yeah, that one always confused me too but Master Yoda sure used to say it alot.

Zeb: I thought this Jedi stuff would be more interesting. No wonder the whole religion died.

I hear Zeb come closer to me.

Zeb: Come on, kid. Amuse me. Use the force.

He grabs the gun barrels and shakes them causes me to fall off.

Kanan helps me up.

Y/N: Does he have to be here?

He then looks out at the view.

Kanan: He's annoying, but there's always gonna be distractions. You have to learn to focus through them.

Kanan then turns to me.

Kanan: Let's try something else. Take out your lightsaber.

I take my lightsaber off my belt and ignite it.

Kanan: Now, come here.

I go over to Kanan and he puts a blindfold on me.

Kanan: Now, focus.

Kanan: Let him have it Chopper!

Chopper starts throwing stuff at me, but I can't land a hit on anything.

Kanan: Y/N, focus. You're not focusing.

Y/N: I am!

Too many objects hit me at once.

I rip off the blindfold and get hit again.

This causes me to fall back and off the Ghost.

Zeb: Kid!

I slide down the nose gun and see Sabine there.

Just then I slide off the gun and fall down.

Y/N: Aaahhhh!!!!

Kanan's P.O.V

After Y/N falls I contact Hera to lower the Ghost.

Once we get close enough to him I use the force to catch him and bring him back up.

Kanan: Zeb... grab him.

After straining too much I drop Y/N, but luckily Zeb caught him.

Y/N's P.O.V

After getting back on the Ghost I go and talk to Kanan.

Kanan: You weren't focused.

Y/N: Yeah well, it's kinda hard to focus when I'm falling to my death.

Kanan: You wouldn't have been falling to your death if you were focused. You're undisciplined and full of self-doubt.

Y/N: I wonder who's fault that is Master? Maybe if you start training me properly, instead of doing it half-way I'd find it easier.

Kanan sighs.

Kanan: It's difficult to teach.

Once Kanan walks away I did feel kinda bad, even though what I said wasn't completely wrong.

I see Hera then she and I head into the meeting room to join the other's.

Y/N: Kanan?

Before I could apologise the Holonet turns on and we find out from Senator-in-exile Gall Trayvis that Jedi Master Luminara Unduli is alive.

She's been held captive by the Empire.

Sabine then shuts off the Holonet.

I look to Kanan.

Y/N: This Master Luminara, you knew her?

Kanan: I met her once. She was a great Jedi Master. Brave, compassionate, disciplined. She'd make a great teacher for you. There were always rumours that she survived the Clone Wars, but they never came with a location. We can't pass this up.

Hera: Was hoping you would say that. I'll set course for the Stygeon system.

Hera leaves.

Kanan: Alright you guys, pre for an op.

The other's leave.

Sabine: Hey, you okay?

Y/N: Yeah, I'm fine. I mean I didn't die, so yeah. I could be worse.

Sabine: Good. It'd be a shame if you ended up as a Jedi spat on the ground.

Y/N: Thanks.

Sabine: Well, let's get ready.

I nod as she leaves.

BD-2: (Beeps.)

Y/N: You heard him, BD. He barely trains me and now he wants to pawn me off on a stranger.

BD-2: (Beeps?)

Y/N: Yeah, I'll be fine. Let's just get this done.

(Three hours later)

(Planet: Stygeon Prime)

After coming up with a plan we make it to Stygeon Prime.

Chopper and JJ will stay on the Ghost, while the rest of us take the Phantom down to the prsion called the Spire.

We stand and get ready to jump out.

Hera: Thirty seconds, good luck.

Zeb: Luck? We're gonna need a miracle.

Sabine: Well, I've got three.

Sabine pulls out three grenades, Zeb and I both take one.

Kanan looks at me.

Kanan: Just try to stay focused in there.

Y/N: I thought there was no "try."

We get close enough to the platform and see two Stormtroopers guarding the door.

Once the Phantom's door opens Kanan front flips out and takes the two stormtroopers down.

After that the rest of us jump down and land on the platform, more stormtroopers come out and we take them down easily.

Luckily I'm pretty good at hand-to-hand combat.

Sabine: Hey, Y/N.

I look to Sabine to see her at the door's control panel.

Sabine: Can you unlock this door?

Y/N: I'm on it.

I go over and start to unlock it, though it's not as easy compared to other doors I've unlocked this way.

Kanan: Y/N...

Y/N: Quiet, Kanan. I'm tryin' to focus here.

I manage to get the door open.

Sabine: Nice one.

We head inside.

Once we get inside we find out that Luminara is being held in cell 0169.

Kanan: Damn it, we planned this mission off of outdated scamtics.

Y/N: So the plan changes then?

Kanan: Yep.

Zeb: You got a backup plan?

Kanan: Figuring one out now. Zeb, Sabine you're coming along.

Zeb: I thought we were gonna hold our escape route here.

Kanan: Now the turbolift is our escape route. Let's go.

All of us head into the turbolift.

Sabine: His plan gets worse all the time.

Zeb: I just hope he doesn't change it again.

Y/N: He most likely will.

Kanan: I'm standing right here.

Y/N, Sabine & Zeb: We know.

We take the turbolift down to the lower levels.
