Y/N's P.O.V

I walk back into the Jedi Temple and go back over to the same door.

It'll lead me to the room where I saw Aalya.

BD-2: (Beeps?)

Y/N: It's gonna be okay, BD. Thanks, for coming with me.

BD-2: (Happily beeps.)

I smile.

Y/N: I know, buddy.

I open the door and walk through it.

When I get inside the room goes dark. And BD disappears.

Just then I see my vision of Aalya step out of the shadows.

Y/N: Aalya.

Aalya: I am surprised you returned. I don't know whether you're a fool or just naive. You were wrong to return here unarmed.

Y/N: I'm not unarmed.

I pull out my lightsaber.

Aalya: You think that lightsaber proves you a Jedi?

Y/N: No. Facing you. Memories that have hunted me since Corellia. I won't run from it anymore.

Aalya: Let's see what manner of death your courage brings.

She ignites her lightsaber and I do the same.

Our purple and blue blades light up the room.

We clash blades.

I'm mainly staying on defence though.

She and I lock blades.

Aalya: Your skills are impressive, but is power the answer?

I break away and step back.

After that I deactivate my saber.

Y/N: No.

Aalya comes at me and goes to kill me, but her blade stops just above my head.

Y/N: Auntie Aalya. I will never forget what happened that day. The loss has become a part of me. Just know I will honor your legacy and your sacrifice.

She stands up right and deactivates her saber.

After that she turns and walks away.

Aalya: Remember, the force will be with you, young Padawan.

She disappears as the door behind her opens up.

Light comes back to the room.

BD-2: (Beeps.)

Y/N: Yeah, I did it. Let's check this out.

I go towards the door and take a look inside.

I look around.

Y/N: No-one's been here for a long time.

BD-2: (Beeps?)

Y/N: I don't know, BD.

I look up ahead to see a podium at the end of the walkway.

Y/N: What's that?

I go over to the podium and see some old books.

Y/N: Okay, I wasn't expecting books.

I pick one up and open it.

It shows me some old lightsaber techniques.

My eyes widen.

Y/N: These are Jedi texts.

I smile.

Y/N: Man, Kanan's never gonna believe this.

I grab all the books.

Y/N: Come on, BD. Let's get back to the Ghost.

BD-2: (Happily beeps.)

I chuckle.

Y/N: Yeah, it is kinda creepy in here.

He and I leave the room.

(Twenty minutes later)

I make it back to the Ghost.

When I get there I see Sabine and Kanan outside.

Sabine: You're back. You okay?

Y/N: Yeah, I'm great.

Kanan: What you got there?

Y/N: Something that's gonna surprise you. Let's get inside and I'll show you.

We go into Ghost.

Kanan and I sit in the lounge.

We're going through the Jedi texts.

Kanan: Man, I can't believe you found these.

Y/N: Had a feeling you'd like this.

Kanan: These are Jedi techniques that haven't been used in decades.

Y/N: I'm thinkin' that we can learn from this.

He nods.

Kanan: So do I. And when Jacen is old enough, he can learn from it too.

Y/N: Very true. Do you think there are other Jedi texts out there too?

Kanan: Maybe. The Jedi archives on Coruscant have been destroyed, but there could be more out there in Jedi Temples that the Empire doesn't know about.

Just then Hera comes in.

Hera: Guys, we've got a mission.

Kanan: What is it?

Hera: We're needed on Kashyyyk. The Wookiees need help there.

Y/N: I didn't know the Empire was even on Kashyyyk.

Kanan: Oh, they are.

Y/N: Well, if the Wookiees need our help, then we need to go and help them. 

Kanan: Yeah, we do.

Hera: Okay. I'll set a course to Kashyyyk.

She leaves the room.

I look at Kanan as I can feel him staring at me.

Y/N: What?

Kanan: I think facing your past was the best thing for you. You're starting to sound like a true Jedi.

I stand up.

Y/N: Yeah. I had a good teacher.

He smiles.

Kanan: Thanks.

After that we leave and go to the cockpit.

I faced my face and overcame it.

I guess that means I'm one step closer to becoming a Jedi.
