Room of a Thousand Fountains

Koro's POV

''What did you do that for?'' Zllen cried incredulously. ''Why did you do that?''

I answered, ''I told her that if she tried to get up to leave, I would knock her out. Jedi have to keep their promises, you know.'' The Rodian Knight shook his head in exasperation, then walked out of the medbay. ''What? She'll be fine!'' I turned to the medical droid who had walked in, and informed him, "Jedi Famile tried to escape, so I knocked her out. She should be fine, and it'll give you time to heal her.''

''Fair enough,'' the droid answered before turning back to Nami's vitals. I took one last look at Nami before leaving the room to do Jedi stuff.

Nami's POV

I woke up to find myself in the medbay, and hissed in frustration. When I find Koro, I'm going to turn him into kriffing bantha fodder, that lousy sleemo! I thought. Nobody was in the medbay, so I stood up and walked cautiously to the door. When no one attempted to stop me, I ran out of the medbay and tried to figure out where Koro was. A Iridonian female youngling was passing me at the time, so I stopped her. ''Excuse me, but do you know where I can find Jedi Knight Koro Lupus?''

She responded, ''He is in the Room of a Thousand Fountains, Jedi Famile.'' I nodded my gratitude to her, who then asked, ''Aren't you supposed to be in the medbay still?" I shook my head, then headed to the Room of a Thousand Fountains, a meditative retreat for all Jedi at the Temple. Why is he there? I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

The room was extraordinary, filled with plants, running water, and pottery as well as having many meditating areas. It didn't take me long to find Koro, who kept meditating as if I wasn't there. Sitting down, I began to meditate beside him to the serenity of the room.

Inside my mind, I found myself in front of a lake, dipping my hands into the cool, clear water. I looked at my reflection to see my adult self without Jedi robes staring back. Am I on Takodana? I asked myself. I felt a presence behind me and looked back to see my mom, Octa Famile, coming towards me. ''Mom?'' I inquired, rising.

She whispered, ''Nami. Nami, are you okay? You look as if you're seeing a ghost.''

I breathed, ''I-You're dead. Master Jinn told me.''

''Nami, remember your lessons. We don't die; we simply become a new form, a different form, in the Force,'' she rebuked. I nodded as she kneeled beside me. ''I will always be with you, Nami. Always.''

The scene disappeared as a new voice entered, growling, ''Nami, I told you to stay in the medbay.'' I opened my eyes to find Koro sitting beside me with his eyes open. ''Why do you insist on coming out?''

''Why weren't you there to make sure I didn't?'' I retorted. ''How long was I out?''

He replied, ''About two days.'' I drew back in surprise at how long I was out because I thought that it was a couple hours. ''Oh well. We can meditate together.''

I snapped, ''You're lucky that you're part of the Circle, or I might smack you until you're out for a week.'' He shook his head with a smile as we closed our eyes, open to the Force and the peaceful air of the Room of a Thousand Fountains.
