Nami's POV, a few days later

     I was in the mess hall talking with all members of the Circle who were glad I was okay when the sound of discharged blasters rang through the hallways. The six of us looked at each other in surprise and shock, then realized what was happening when the Force signatures of Jedi began to wink out. Apparently, the others had felt it, and got up quickly. Thanks to the bacta tank, my wounds weren't bothering me as we began to run toward the entrance.

     More Force-signatures were winking out as we ran down corridors. I saw something that no one should have seen, but I had seen a lot of these past few years. Dead bodies of both Jedi and clone littered the floor, making us jump over them. Clones appeared in front of us, and I took out my lightsaber, turning it on to deflect the blasts. Koro, Zllen, Reymos, Clinga, and Azul stopped behind me, and Koro began to take out his lightsaber, but I shouted, ''No! Go!''

     ''Not without you!'' he answered. You stubborn Hutt-spawn! I cursed in my thoughts. You need to get everyone out of here! Go! I kept blocking blasterfire with my head turned to Koro, the way only a trained Force-sensitive could. 

     ''Go!'' I cried. ''I'll be right behind you.'' The words were a lie; I'd soon be outnumbered and unable to block them. But if my sacrifice saved four lives, then it was good enough. He seemed to realize this or believe that I'd be right behind him because he turned and ran down another corridor, taking the rest of the Circle with him. 

     I smiled sadly as I focused my attention on the clones ahead of me, blocking blasterfire like a Knight would, as if I hadn't been on the verge of death a week ago. I felt my danger sense trickle, but I ignored it because I knew that I was in danger. What I didn't know was that the Force was trying to warn me of the clones coming up behind me. I didn't realize that until I felt a pain I knew all too well erupt in the small of my back, and then again in my head. My story was over. A new one had begun.
