Ruby POV

Me and the others made a stretcher to carry Y/n to get him medical treatment. I was walking in front and Jaune was in the back keeping an eye on him, Nora was behind us with her weapon equipped, Qrow and Ren were up front to see if we're at a nearby village somewhere we can get Y/n medicine for the poison.

Ruby: Just... hold on, Y/n.

Y/n was laying down on the stretcher groaning in pain.

Y/n: Master... I'm sorry... I... I failed you... Master.

Y/n was coughing bad from the effects that he has.

Jaune: He's getting worse.

Ruby: How much farther?

Nora: We've gotta be close.

Ren: Without the map, there's no way of knowing. But I feel like we're close to something.

Qrow: Come on, there's gotta be a village that has a doctor or medical supplies.

Ren and Qrow stop to see something up ahead.

Ruby: What is it?

Ren and Qrow went up ahead while we followed them. Nora went up ahead too to see some signs for Mistral and other directions.

Nora: Hey, hey! Mistral! We're on the right path! Oh...

Ruby: Does it say how close?!

Ren: No. And it looks like the path takes us up to the mountains.

Me and Jaune set down Y/n for what we should do.

Jaune: Guys. I don't know if all of us can make that climb.

I looked at Y/n's bandage, it's getting worse. I ran to look at the signs to see which way is faster.

Ruby: Okay. Well, what about this place? Kuro... Kuroyuri. Can we get help there?

Ren: That village was destroyed years ago.

Jaune: But if it takes us around the mountains, it's the best bet we've got.

Ren: It will take too long.

Ruby: The town would have had a doctor, right? Or maybe we could scavenge for medicine!

Qrow: Yeah, if the place still has any.

Jaune: Right!

Ren: We're not going to find anything! We just have to press on!

I never heard Ren being this serious. I don't know why he didn't want us to go to that village.

Jaune: Ren, why are you acting-

Nora: We can split up.

Ruby: Huh?

Nora: Ren and I can cut through the mountains while you, Ruby, and Qrow take Y/n around the village.

Jaune: No, we're supposed to stick together. We keep each other safe!

Nora: We don't have time for safe! If we make it to Mistral, we'll bring back help! If we don't, we'll at least have a better view of the land! Up there, we can see if there's somewhere else we can go!

Ren and Nora looked at each other for a second, until we heard Y/n coughing bad again. We have to get him medicine quick.

Jaune: Okay.

Jaune and Ren hugged each other for good luck and let go.

Jaune: Just take care of each other.

Qrow: And be careful up there.

Nora: We always have.

Me and Jaune carried Y/n again, while Nora and Ren went to the mountains. Qrow was taking point in front of us to make sure if we don't run into any Grimm.

Ruby: They're gonna be fine, Jaune.

Jaune: You don't know that.

Qrow: They'll be okay Jaune, count on it.

Jaune: *sigh* Okay.

(Timeskip)

We've been walking for a few minutes, let's hope the village is up ahead. Up ahead we saw that same old man that was talking to Y/n.

Stranger: Well, if it isn't my fellow wanderers, Ruby, Jaune and... I'm sorry who are you sir?

Qrow: Hey, back off pal. How do you know my niece and her friend's name.

Stranger: Wait, your niece?

Qrow: Yeah, I'm her uncle, name's Qrow.

Stranger: Well, nice to meet you Qrow.

He then noticed Y/n was on the stretcher.

Stranger: Oh my goodness. What happened to him?

Jaune: That's none of your business.

Stranger: Well this is my business, I want to know what happened to him.

Ruby: He got cut by a scorpion tail that had poison on it by some crazy guy that we fought.

Stranger: My word, I hope he gets better.

Jaune: Yeah well, we're trying to get him medicine, so will you please excuse us.

We were about to continue walking, but the stranger blocked our path.

Stranger: You know I will not let you do this by yourself? Never.

I felt Jaune put down the stretcher so I put it down too. He then walked up to the stranger with a furious face.

Jaune: Okay, I had enough of this! Who are you?! And why do you keep following us?!

The stranger stepped back and took a second to speak, but then he started to remove his black robe. He dropped it on the ground, he was shirtless and he had scars on him.

Taron Malicos: Taron Malicos. Former Jedi. Like himself.

Ruby: Another Jedi?

Jaune: No. He doesn't look like one.

Qrow: Look, Malicos right? Just stand a side okay?

Taron Malicos: Oh, I'm afraid I can't do that. Me and Y/n, we have much in common.

Jaune: I doubt that.

Taron Malicos: Oh? Me and Y/n, we both survive the Purge. My troops betrayed me. I was forced to strike them down and I escaped. Into this... (chuckle) Desolate place. The darkness around here... It almost took me. But I conquered it.

Jaune: You're the one the Nightbrothers follow.

Taron Malicos: (laugh) Yes.

We saw him that he has the Nightbrothers horns on his side.

Taron Malicos: These savages only respect strength. And as we both know, the Force... is a most powerful ally.

Jaune: No, Y/n told us about this. You used the Force to seize power. That's- That's everything the Jedi stood against.

Taron Malicos: These are dark times. They will consume us if we do not stand... with each other.

Jaune: We don't need your help.

Jaune walked away from him, until Mailcos said something.

Taron Malicos: You've lost someone didn't you.

Jaune stopped to listen to him.

Taron Malicos: Someone you were close with. And she died, fighting for her school, and her friends. I know you're pain Jaune. And I know it will haunt you forever. Join my family, and I can teach you how to control it's power, so that way we can take down anyone that stands in our way.

Jaune turned around to face him.

Nightsister: Join my family?

We then heard that Nightsister again that appear on top of a tree log.

Nightsister: And I will teach you to control the power? Familiar words Malicos.

Taron Malicos: Sister Merrin. You overstep your bounds.

Merrin: For years, you said the Jedi orchestrated the massacre that killed my sisters. Yet here one lies down, injured in front of his friends. And you seek only to bring them to your family.

We all looked at Malicos.

Taron Malicos: You were told to deal with it. Clearly you lack the power, little witch!

Merrin: Power? Your mad Malicos. Dathomir has unmade you. And my misplaced loyalty has allowed you to lead the Nightbrothers astray. Unlike the Jedi- The Nightsisters of Dathomir do not turn on their kind. Our bond is eternal.

Taron Malicos: Your sisters are dead!

Merrin: Yes. Their graves are all around you.

We all looked around to see the pods that she was talking about.

Jaune: Guys, time to go.

BD-1: Beep.

Me and Jaune quickly grabbed the stretcher that Y/n was on, until we heard Merrin did a spell.

Merrin: Choono slalem denni- Tay'lori olee-ay!

We all saw her eyes glow green from the spell that she did. We started to see all the pods hatch out the Undead Nightsisters.

Taron Malicos: Foolish girl. This power is beyond your control!

She looked at all of us.

Merrin: You both shall learn. When you face one Nightsister of Dathomir, you face us all!

The Undead Nightsisters stood up from the ground.

Taron Malicos: Run!

Malicos ran off while Qrow got out his weapon to strike one of the Undead Nightsisters down.

Qrow: Go! I'll hold them off!

Jaune: You better be right behind us!

We then carefully ran to the village to avoid the Undead Nightsisters. I looked back for a second to see Qrow catching up to us. He must of took out the rest of them.

Qrow: I think that's all of them. Let's just hope this village ain't too far now.

Ruby: I just hope we can find something to save him.

Qrow: Ruby, Y/n will make it, I promise.

Ruby: But, you told us about your semblance.

Qrow: I don't care about my semblance, I only care about saving Y/n. He'll be okay, and we will save him. You saw how he saved me from Tyrian's tail, well I'm returning the favor. By saving him.

Jaune: Y/n risked his life to save your uncle Ruby. I know it almost caused his life, but we can save him I know it. We all know it. We just have to believe.

Ruby: Yeah, believe.

I have faith that Y/n will make it. I just hope we can save him in time, he saved Uncle Qrow's life, and now he wants to return the favor, by saving him. I looked back at Y/n to see that he stopped coughing, he's sleeping now, good. That means that he will be okay, I believe that we will save him I just know it.

Y/n POV in dream.

I started to open my eyes slowly to regain consciousness. I fully opened my eyes to look around, where am I?

???: You're awake.

I heard a voice. I looked to my right to see who that was, it's Summer.

You: Summer? What happened, where am I?

Summer: What do you mean where are you? Your exactly where you wanted to be. Right here, in your new home.

You: My new home?

She nodded her head with a smile. I then started to sit up from the bed I was laying on, I looked around to see that I was in Patch, how am I back here?

You: I'm... back in Patch?

Summer: (chuckle) Of course you are, this is my home after all.

You: Yeah, this is your home. Where's Ruby?

Summer then got up from her chair she was sitting in.

Summer: Follow me and I'll show you.

I got out of the bed and I checked to see that I was still wearing my original outfit. I didn't see the wound that I had, no this has to be a dream. I'm still unconscious from the poison. I know I'll get better soon, I hope Ruby and the others will find medicine for me to stop it. I then followed Summer to see where Ruby is. I saw Summer in one of the hallways, she seems to have a smile on her face. I went to her to go see what she was looking at.

You: Summer? What is it?

Summer: See for yourself.

She step away from the door for me to see what she was looking at. I looked through the door halfway open and looked to see inside. What I saw made me have a tear in my eye a little. I saw her, Ruby Rose herself, but she's so little. I saw her playing with Zwei when he was a little dog as well.

She looks so beautiful when she was young. I couldn't imagine her being around Summer. I looked at Ruby and Zwei playing with each other they look so cute together, Ruby was telling Zwei to roll over and he did. I love it when dogs do that, when the owner tells them to do a trick, they do it, this brought a smile to my face.

Summer: She's beautiful isn't she?

I looked at Summer who was standing behind me with a smile on her face as well.

You: Yeah, she is beautiful. And she grew up to be a Huntress, like you Summer.

Summer: I know, she always wanted to be a Huntress. Everytime when she was about to go to bed, I always read her those fairy tale stories.

You: About the Maidens.

Summer: You guessed it. She really loves those stories, she wanted to be like the heroes.

You: Yeah, she said that to a friend of ours Blake, she said the exact same thing.

Summer then looked at me.

Summer: I'm glad that the both are together, you two make a lovely couple.

You: Yeah, we do. I almost sacrificed my life for Qrow if you know who he is.

Summer: Of course I know who he is, he used be my teammate back in Beacon.

You: Oh yeah, he told about your team. Team STRQ right?

Summer: Just like old times.

You: Just like when I was young.

Summer: I know how you felt, you've been alone for five years right?

You: That's right. But then I started to meet your daughter and stepdaughter. And I saved them from that Grimm.

Summer: Sounds like you really are a hero then, you saved them and you started to become a Huntsman.

You: Well I'm a Jedi, if you already know.

Summer: I know you told me.

I laughed a little bit from what Summer said.

Summer: Follow me, I wanna show you something.

You: Okay.

I went to go follow Summer to see what she wants to show me. We went into Summer's room where her and Tai used to be. She went to open one of the wardrobe doors to get a box out. She then opened it to reveal a necklace and a ring that had a rose symbol on it, she showed me the necklace and the ring, their beautiful.

It looks just like the symbol that Ruby has when she wears her cape. Summer then hand the necklace and the ring to me.

Summer: I want you to give Ruby these when the time is right. Just only give her the necklace for now, and wait for your chance to give her the ring, it's very special for the both of you.

I was so shocked that she was giving me an engagement ring for Ruby. I never thought that I would give Ruby a ring, I never purposed to someone. This will change my life forever if I give her this ring, but I have to wait when the time comes. I can't do it yet, I have to wait for now. This brought a smile and tears to my face when I saw this. I looked at Summer who was also smiling and have tears on her face as well.

You: I promise you, I will protect Ruby, and stop Salem from getting to her. I promise you, Summer Rose.

She didn't say anything, but she went to me to give me a hug for thanking me for what I had said to her from my promise, I then hugged her back.

Summer: Thank you Y/n. I know you can do this. I believe in you, and I believe in you can save all of us from her. Thank you.

You: I will never forget for what you have done for us. I will honor your death, and your sacrifice.

Summer took a second to respond to me. She kept on hugging me and I did the same while we had tears in our eyes.

Summer: Thank you so much Y/n, it was a pleasure meeting you. This won't be a goodbye, I will always be with you and Ruby whenever you guys go, and I will always be able to talk to you every time you meditate.

You: I forgot you can do that. Thank you for everything.

Summer: No, thank you, for everything you have done to protect us. I believe in you Y/n, as I always have. I'll see you around Y/n.

You: I'll do the same for you. Goodbye for now.

When were hugging there was light surrounding us, I guess that means I'm starting to wake up. Before the light went to me, Summer said one final word.

Summer: Thank you.

After she said her final word, the light went to me knowing that I'm about to wake up from my slumber. I hope the others got me medicine or to a doctor, I guess I'll have to wait and see when I wake up.
