Time: Morning

Location: Ballroom

Y/n POV

I was sleeping peacefully for once not having any nightmares, I feel better for once in my life. I was still sleeping, not wanting to wake up, I can sleep forever. Until I heard a voice of a girl yelling for someone to wake up.

???: Wake up lazy bud! It's morning, it's morning, it's morning, it's moooorning! 🎶

She said that while singing the morning song or something. I slowly opened my eyes seeing that it's morning, just like that girl said. I see other people already waking up except for one person, and that person is Ruby. I saw that Yang was awake, she was standing up watching me on the sleeping bag smiling at me.

Y/n: What?

Yang signal me to look down, I did what she said and look down. I looked down to see... Ruby still sleeping on my chest. She's been sleeping on my chest all night, she cuddle up to me more, with a smile on her face while she was sleeping. Yang quietly spoke.

Yang: *Whispering* I'll let you two be.

Yang said while winking at me she walked away from me and Ruby. This made me blush a bit, knowing that I never slept with a girl before. But I guess this is my first time. I have to wake her up so we can get can get ready for the day ahead. I gently shake Ruby to wake her up. I gently told her that she needs to wake up.

Y/n: Ruby, come on we have to get up.

Ruby: Five more minutes.

Ruby said in a sleepy voice.

Y/n: Ruby come on, if we don't get up we'll be late for the initiation.

Ruby: Fiiine.

Ruby took her sleeping mask off, opening her eyes slowly. She yawned, once her eyes were almost opened she sees me next her.

Ruby: Morning Y/n.

Ruby closed her eyes again almost falling back to sleep. But then she quickly opened her eyes and noticed that she was close to me, she realized that she was on my chest, she sat up and looked at me, we were looking at each other for a few seconds, we had a small blush on our faces. But when we came back to our senses, I quickly moved and looked away first.

Y/n: I'm sorry! I-I didn't know you were you were that close to me last night, i-it's just that... you cuddle to my chest first, and I couldn't help but feel comfortable from you, not in a wired way! It's just that, I couldn't sleep last night, but then when I finally got back, you were cuddling on my chest, so I couldn't help but go with it, it helped me sleep after. I'm sorry for making you embarrassed.

Ruby: No, no it's okay. I was fine with it at first, it felt nice to sleep with a guy that I'm close to be with for the first time.

I looked back at Ruby, she had a smile and a little blush on her face. I started to get up to get ready for the initiation.

Y/n: Come on, let's head to the locker rooms in order to get ready.

Ruby: Okay.

She got up to get ready. I got ready to put on my clothing parts to get ready, then we head out to the locker rooms.

Timeskip: Locker Room

I found my locker and opened it to reveal my Lightsaber, the part of it was still damaged, but it still works. I grabbed it from the locker and inspect it for a few seconds.

I then heard a voice in my head for once.

Jaro Tapal: Trust only in the Force.

It went away when I clipped my lightsaber to my belt. I then heard a voice coming from the announcer intercom, It was professor Goodwitch.

Glynda: Would Y/n L/n please report to professor Ozpin's office.

What do they want with me, probably wanted to talk to me.

Yang: Huh? That's wired. I never expected for professor Ozpin to see you Y/n.

Y/n: Yeah, that's new for me. Well, I guess I better not keep him waiting, I'll see you girls outside.

Ruby and Yang: See ya.

After I said that I went to go look for Ozpin's office, I guess the tower explains it. I went inside the building and managed to find an elevator. I got into the elevator and pressed a button that said "Office". I pressed the button and the elevator began to go up leading me to Ozpin's office. Once the elevator reached the top, the doors open to reveal Ozpin's office. Wow, its amazing, I never seen an office this big.

Ozpin: Ah, Y/n you made it. Please enter.

I did what he said and exited the elevator, his office was amazing, I looked up to the ceiling and noticed that there's gears sets, and a window that showed like a clock to see outside. Ozpin was standing there, he noticed that I entered.

I stood still for a second, I noticed professor Goodwitch was here to. Ozpin turned and walked to his desk and sat down.

Ozpin: Have a seat.

I did what he said, I walked to an empty chair and sat down. I was kinda nervous why Ozpin wanted me here, Goodwitch stood next to Ozpin.

Ozpin: How are you feeling today Y/n?

Ozpin said to me while I made eye contact.

Y/n: I'm feeling a bit better from last night, I got enough sleep.

Ozpin: That's good to hear.

He said with a kind smile on his face. I have to tell him something about what happened to me.

Y/n: Professor Ozpin, I have to tell you something about me.

Ozpin: Please go ahead.

I took a few seconds to speak.

Y/n: Professor. Something happened to me during the Purge. I survived but... my connection to the Force is damaged. When I meditate, if I let my guard down, I lose control. And It's like I'm back in that moment, when...

I was on the verge of tears before Ozpin speak.

Ozpin: You survived Y/n, and that's all that matters. We're here to help you leave that past behind, I know you are still scared about your past, but we are here to help you move on, live a better future.

I went silent for a second, but then I responded.

Y/n: Thank you professor, I appreciate you helping me forget what happened to me.

Ozpin had a caring smile on him, I can trust him.

Ozpin: Very well, now let's talk about you.

Y/n: Talk about me?

Ozpin: Yes, about yourself. Do you have a special ability called a Semblance, or do you have an Aura to protect your body from being damaged.

I was confused about what he had said. But i don't have those effects.

Y/n: I'm sorry, but I don't have those effects that you told me.

Ozpin: I see. Then I guess you're gonna have to deal with it in the initiation. Come with me, the other students are waiting for us.

Ozpin got up from his chair and went to the elevator, Goodwitch followed him, I did the same thing to.

Timeskip: Cliff side

I was following Ozpin and Goodwitch to the cliff side. I saw all the students standing on some kind of platform. I saw Ruby standing on one of them. She noticed me joining in, she waved at me, and I waved back at her. I stand on one of the platforms next to Jaune, while Ozpin was standing in front of all of us, giving us a speech.

Ozpin: For years you have trained to become warriors. And today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest.

Glynda: Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... Today.

Ruby: What? Aw.. *scared noise*

I was nervous about this too.

Ozpin: These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well.

Ruby: *scared noise*

Ozpin: That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next 4 years.

This shocked both me and Ruby.

Y/n and Ruby: What?!?

???: See? I told you!

Ozpin: After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die.

I sighed in a nervous way.

Jaune * nervous laughter, gulp*

Ozpin: You will be monitored and graded for duration of your initiation. But our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each Pair must choose one, and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as we as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?

Jaune began to speak to ask a question.

Jaune: Yeah, um, sir-

Ozpin: Good! Now, take your positions.

Everyone on the platforms started to take their positions. I looked at them, they were ready for this, but I wasn't.

Then Jaune started to speak again.

Jaune: Uh, sir? I've got, um, a question. *Weiss catapults*

I watched Weiss got launched into the air to the forest. This is not good, I wasn't expecting this to happen.

Jaune: *Other students catapult* So this landing strategy thing, uh, W-what is it? You're like dropping us off or something?

Ozpin: No. You will be falling.

My eyes widened in fear, this is so not good.

I see more students catapulting into the air.

Jaune: Oh, I see. So, like, did you hand out parachutes for us?

Ozpin: No. You will be using your own landing strategy.

My own landing strategy? I don't have one!

Jaune: Uhuh...Yeah.

I see Yang winked at Ruby and putting on sunglasses and got catapult into the air. Then I saw Ruby got catapult into the air. I was so scared, my heart started to beat.

Jaune: So, um what exactly is a landing strateGYYYYY.

I saw Jaune got catapult Into the air. I quickly stepped away from the platform until it catapult itself. Ozpin saw this that I wasn't ready for this.

Y/n: Professor Ozpin, I'm sorry, but... there's no way I can do that. There's no way that I could do my own landing strategy, I wasn't ready for this, I wasn't ready for any of this! I'm sorry. I became a hassle for you. I guess you were right, you did see me as wasted energy.

I looked down in shame, knowing that I couldn't do this. Ozpin then chuckled at me.

Ozpin: Y/n. I know that you're not like us, and I know that you cannot do your own landing strategy. You are a special person that I haven't see before. And you are that special person. So, I will give you the opportunity to carefully slide down this cliff, head to the temple, find a partner, get a relic and return here.

Y/n: So, what do I do while I'm out there, I just, hide?

Ozpin had a smile on his face.

Ozpin: You're done hiding Y/n. And it is time for you to come out of hiding. Make your way to the northern side to find the temple.

I got close to the edge of the cliff about to slide down, but Ozpin said something to me.

Ozpin: Oh! One more thing. There is someone waiting for you in the forest. He will keep you companied during your time in the forest. He doesn't count as a partner for you.

Y/n: Okay. I'll keep that in mind.

I dropped down carefully to the cliff side and began to slide down into the forest. I made it down safely, but my hands were burning when I was sliding from the cliff.

Y/n: Aghh! That burns ow!

I shake my hands a little to stop the pain on my hands.

Y/n: Okay. Off to the temple I go.

I started walking into the forest, watching my surroundings. It's beautiful out here. The nature is nice, and all I see is trees and bushes.

Y/n: Ozpin said he wanted me to meet someone. But if there's already other students teaming up, why does Ozpin want me to meet this person?

I began talking to myself when I'm alone. I kept on walking through the forest. A few minutes later I see a safe spot to meditate.

Y/n: This looks like a safe spot to meditate. Just need to focus my mind.

I sat down on the soft grass crossing my legs into a meditation position. I avoided all distractions and focused. I was in the quiet place from last night, in my meditation vision, I learned a new skill, it's called, " Overhead Slash". Unlocks a powerful strike that is deadly against weaker enemies. That's all I can learn from now. I then exited my meditation vision, and I saw what appears to be a droid looking at me, strange I never saw a droid on this planet before, but it's worth than anything. It then begins to do beep noises at me.

???: Beep-be-be-beep.

Y/n: Hey, BD-1. I'm Y/n.

BD-1: Boo-beep!

Y/n: Uh, yeah I'm okay. I'm just... I'm looking for something.

BD-1: Beep?

Y/n: No. Not you. I'm searching for uh, a temple, I think...

BD-1: Beep! Be-beep! Beep!

BD-1 then jumped in excitement and began to go ahead of me, I got up quickly.

Y/n: Hold on, y-you know the way? Which way?

BD-1: Be-bo-beep!

Y/n: Wait! Hold on!

There was a machine bridge out, but BD saw a device that controled the bridge. He used a scomp link to slice the device and brought the bridge back online.

Y/n: Did you just slice that? Thanks.

Me and BD got across the bridge. We continued to move forward to the temple.

Y/n: Uh, BD? Are you sure this is the right path?

BD-1: Beep-boop!

Y/n: Ok. I'm following you then.

Me and BD then came to a zip line. BD got on top of it.

Y/n: A zip line?

BD-1: Beep-boop.

Y/n: Are you sure about this?

BD-1: Boop-bap.

Y/n: Okay, then.

I jumped to grab him tightly. We then started to go across the zip line.

Y/n: Whoa-ho-ho!

Me and BD got off from the zip line.

Y/n: Wow, that was amazing, did you know that would work?

BD-1: Beep-boop.

Y/n: Wait, you didn't?

A few minutes later.

Me and BD were walking for a few minutes. We saw a bunny hopping around.

Y/n: Oh. Hey there little guy.

The bunny saw me it hopped towards me, I crouched down to see the bunny got close to me. I put my hand carefully close to it. The bunny then started to smell my hand, then it rubbed it's head on my hand. I started to pet the bunny, he likes it.

Y/n: Heh. Aren't you the cutest thing ever.

The bunny then finished from being petted, it hopped back to where it came from.

Y/n: Stay safe little guy.

All of a sudden a Grimm came out of the bushes trying to kill the bunny, it got away to safety fast before it got killed. That bunny is smart. BD then got to the Grimm to kick it, but he was to small to hurt it. The Grimm bit BD's leg.

Y/n: Hold on BD! I'm coming!

I got out my lightsaber and activate it. The Grimm let go of BD from its mouth, focusing on me. I used my Overhead Slash move to kill the Grimm instantly, I slashed the Grimm in half and it then faded away. I deactivated my lightsaber and clipped it to my belt. I then went to go check on BD to see if he is okay.

Y/n: Hey, that was pretty brave. You okay?

BD-1: B-b-b-b-eeeeep.

Y/n: Wait! I can help you with that. Will you let me?

BD looked at his leg for a second, then he started to walk to me and jumped into my hands.

Y/n: Oh! Ha ha, okay.

I then took BD to a nearby big flat rock, I took a good look at BD, but his scomp link is busted.

Y/n: Hmm... Well... The scomp link is busted, but... This should help you get moving for now.

I then got out a blow torch to repair BD's leg, after I finished, BD got up.

Y/n: Okay. Try that.

BD stood up to try out his right leg he was good as new, but without the scomp link. He then tested out his scanning light on his left eye, it was working good.

BD-1: Boo-beep!

Y/n: The temple? Yeah, that's where I was headed too.

BD-1: Beep-thrill!

Y/n: Okay, well... First we gotta figure out which way to go.

BD-1: Beep!

Y/n: What?

BD then used a light to shine a holomap.

BD-1: Beep-boop!

Y/n: Wait. You maped the entire area?

BD-1: Beep!

Y/n: Wow, smart droid.

Me and BD continued to press on into the woods following his map to the location of the temple. I saw a path that was blocking the way. It was half electrified, so I used my lightsaber to cut it out of the way so I can get through, but then some of it electrified me sending me to hit the ground. BD saw me on the ground he nudged his head to me to see if i was okay.

BD-1: Be-boop?

Y/n: Yeah, I'm alright.

I groaned in pain looking at my left chest, it hurts bad.

BD-1: Boop-bap!

BD then hover over in front of me.

Y/n: Huh?

BD opens up a hatch from his head. He then popped something out, a glowing green light, it's a healing stim, I cought the stim with my right hand.

Y/n: A healing stim? You're full of surprises.

I then injected my self with the stim on my left chest, it hurt a little bit, but it healed me fast. I dropped the empty sim cantaner and spoke to BD.

Y/n: That's... better... Thanks, little droid.

BD-1: Bwoo bo!

Y/n: Okay, let's try this again.

I then felt something on my left leg, it was BD who was hanging on my leg.

Y/n: Hm, oh, uhh... Okay, ha ha. Here, hop on board.

I then grabbed BD and put him on my back. We proceed to go to the temple.

I was near a small cliff side, it's a few feet away from me, I can't make that jump.

BD-1: Beep?

Y/n: I can't make that jump, we'll have to find another way.

I started to think how I'm gonna get to the other side of the cliff, I put my hand on a near by concrete wall on the side, I saw a few lizards wall running on it, part of the wall glowed blue, I was in my mind learning how to wall run. Then I had a flashback when I was training with my master.

(Flashback)

I fell from the wall on to the platform.
My master watched me fail that run.

Jaro Tapal: Try again.

Young Y/n: It's difficult, Master.

Jaro Tapal: Yes, the path is difficult. It may seem impossible, but with persistence and the Force as your ally, you will overcome any obstacle. You will master any path. Now, do what you must to reach me.

I then started to do more wall runs. I completed the first run.

Jaro Tapal: Good, padawan.

I completed the second run.

Jaro Tapal: Now, reach my position.

I completed the final run.

(End of Flashback)

After that flashback ended, I was on the other side of the cliff.

Y/n: (Sigh) I did it. With persistence and the Force as my ally.

BD-1: Boop-beeb?

Y/n: Just remembering old tricks.

I now remember how to wall run, I guess training with my Master paid off. Me and BD pressed on to get to the temple.

A few minutes later

We got to the temple in the forest, it was abandoned for a long time or centuries, it was big.

Y/n: I guess we're the only ones here.

BD-1: Beep- bwoop.

Y/n: Yeah, something feels off from this.

I then saw BD-1 got off my back, he then scanned around the temple. BD then shined a light showing some kind of hologram.

Y/n: You alright BD?

BD didn't respond I then heard a voice from the hologram.

???: Well done, whoever you are. You have past the test I left behind.

I then looked to see a man from the hologram playback.

???: And made it here to the temple and gained access to this recording. One of many encrypted logs stored in the droid. I am Master Eno Cordova. I may not know your name but I know your purpose. I have been through these ruins so many times. This place... This... temple, everything around here used to be ruled by the ancient Gods. The God of Light, and the God of Darkness. These two brothers made this world many centuries ago, that the God of Darkness summoned these creatures called Grimm. Apparently these creatures are attracted to emotions, like fear, and anger, watch yourself my friend, you must be careful with these creatures, you see them week before, but they are evolving. These creatures will be more dangerous in the future, unless you have the weapon to take them down, such as your lightsaber. Be careful on your journey my friend, you will face dark times in this place, but I know you will fine the light to shine away the darkness. In this droid you will find every recording all over every continent on your journey. Good luck, Jedi. And may the Force be with you.

After that, the recording ended. I looked down at BD-1 to talk to him.

Y/n: I guess you were the someone I was supposed to meet.

BD-1: Beep!

I sat down in front of BD with my legs crossed. I began talking to him.

Y/n: You know, I've been alone for... a while now. Without any... purpose. Just hiding. It's no way to live. Not for a Jedi. Or a droid. Maybe Ozpin was right. Maybe I'm done hiding. Hey. You wanna meet some, uh... Friends of mine?

BD-1: BEEEEEEEP!

Y/n: Okay then. Oh yeah I forgot. I was supposed to get a relic from this temple. I guess i should grab one.

BD-1: Beep.

I got up from the ground and took a relic piece, but witch one.

Y/n: Huh. There's like different reilc pieces.

BD-1: Boop-beep.

Y/n: Their chess pieces?

BD-1: Bweep-boop.

Y/n: Huh. You're right, they are.

I need to take one of the pieces. How about the Bishop next to the Knight.

Y/n: I guess I'll take this with me then.

I took the Bishop piece. Then BD saw something, he ran to it.

Y/n: BD, where are you going!

He sees some sort of crate, it was glowing green. This is a Stim crate.

Y/n: No way, you found a Stim crate?

BD-1: Bee-beep!

Y/n: Wait, can you carry more stims?

BD-1: Bee-beep!

Y/n: Okay. Thanks BD-1.

BD then opened the crate. He was excited to carry more stims. I grabbed the other stim, BD opens a hatch on his left head, I placed the stim in him and closed the hatch. BD-1 was happy, he can now carry three stims. This just keeps getting better. BD then got back on my back.

Y/n: Okay, let's head back to the cliff.

I then heard something, I heard a twig snapped, I shouted at the noise.

Y/n: Who's there!

I got out my lightsaber and activate it I looked at the noise that was coming from. It reveal that it was Yang and Blake.

Y/n: Yang? Blake?

Yang and Blake: Y/n?

Yang: Wow, I didn't expect you to be here.

Blake: Same.

Blake then noticed my Lightsaber.

Blake: Whoa! What his that you're holding, is that even a weapon?

Yang: Oh yeah that is his weapon. It's a glowing blue sword.

Y/n: It's called a Lightsaber.

Yang and Blake: Oh.

I then deactivated my Lightsaber and clipped it to my belt.

Y/n: I'm guessing you girls came here to get one of the relics?

They nodded. Then BD made a noise.

BD-1: Beep-boop?

Yang: What was that?

Blake: Y/n? Did your back just made a beeping noise?

Y/n: No? Oh where are my manners. You can come on out bud.

BD-1 then peeked out from my back. Surprising the girls.

Yang: Whoa! What is that?

Blake: Is that a robot on your back?

Y/n: Yang, Blake, this is BD-1. He helped me get here to the temple.

Yang: Well, nice to meet you BD-1. I'm Yang.

Blake: And I'm Blake.

BD-1: Bwoop-beep.

Blake: Wait, what did he say?

Y/n: He said it's nice to meet you both.

Yang: Wait, how do you know what he's saying?

Y/n: I don't, I just know.

Blake: Okay.

Yang: Anyways, we should probably get the relics.

Blake: Yeah good idea.

Y/n: I already grabbed mine so I'm set.

Yang: That's good to hear, Y/n.

Yang and Blake went go get their relics. I just waited for them to pick one. Then all of a sudden, I heard someone screaming.

Yang: Some girl's in trouble!

Y/n: Um, Yang? I don't think that scream was from a girl.

Yang: Blake did you hear that!? What should we do?

Y/n: Blake!?

All of a sudden I heard Ruby screaming from the sky.

Ruby: *screaming* Heads up!

Y/n: Oh no!

Ruby then crashed into me. Hitting me so hard on the ground. I groaned in pain.

Y/n: Owww. That hurt a lot.

Ruby: Oh my gosh! Y/n, are you okay!?

Y/n: No you just fell from the sky and... Owwww!

Ruby: I'm so sorry, I didn't know what I was doing.

Y/n: It's okay, I'll be alright.

Ruby: Are you sure?

Y/n: Yeah I'm sure, I just need to lay here for a bit.

BD-1: Beep-boop?

I then saw BD next to me.

Ruby: Y/n? Who's this.

Y/n: Oh that's BD-1. BD-1, meet Ruby, Ruby, meet BD-1. While you guys settled things out I need to rest for a bit.

I then passed out for a little bit. I need to rest a bit from the pain.

A few minutes pasted, someone shook me to wake me up.

Ruby: Y/n! Come on we have to go!

I heard Ruby's voice, I slowly opened my eyes, after that I quickly opened them.

Y/n: What happened?

Ruby: Get up, we're leaving!

I quickly got up, BD got on my back quickly before we started to run from those Grimm. I followed the other students and kept on running.

We then ended up in another abandoned temple, it was way bigger than the other one.

We then hid behind one of the concrete pillars, hiding from that flying Grimm.

Then another one appeared out from the trees, it's a giant scorpion.

Y/n: Run!

They heard my word, I then went to attack that scorpion activating my Lightsaber, and went into action. Ruby noticed that I was distracting the scorpion.

Ruby: Y/n! What are you doing!

Y/n: Taking care of this thing you, go help the others.

Ruby: But-

Y/n: Just go! I got this!

Ruby nodded her head in agreement. She ran off with her other friends to stop the flying Grimm, while I focused on this one.

Y/n: You ready to do this BD!?

BD-1: Beeeep-bwoooop!

Y/n: That's what I like to hear!

I then got straight into action, I swung my lightsaber at the Grimm I was doing some damage, but not enough, it swung it's tail at me so I rolled out of the way to evade it's attack. I got back up and gave it another swing of my blade, but I did some damage, it hit me with the edge of it's tail sending me flying to a pillar, I hit my back on the pillar where it hit me pretty hard, I was coughing bad from the impact, I got up quickly.

Y/n: Toss me a Stim!

I snapped my fingers to let BD know that I needed a Stim, he heard me, BD quickly got out the stim to my hand and I quickly injected it on my shoulder, I'm ready to get back in the fight. The Grimm charged at me, but I jumped up to a wall and did a wall run over the Grimm. I got to the ground, the Grimm then charged at me again, I let it swing it's tail at me, but I parried it's tail staggering it, it lost balance, I cut off the Grimm's tail, it yelled in pain, I then jumped on It's back to stab my Lightsaber in it's head. I jumped off the Grimm and twirled my Lightsaber around and deactivate it. I defeated the Grimm. It's staring to fade away into a black mist. I then looked to see Ruby on top of a cliff, looks like she took care of that Grimm, this was a tough day.

Timeskip

We got back to Beacon to be announced which team we will be on. Ozpin announced the team names.

Ozpin: Russell Thrush. Cardin Winchester.Dove Bronzewing. Sky Lark. The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... Team CRDL. Lead by... Cardin Winchester.

The audience began to applaud to them. The next team was Jaune's.

Ozpin: Jaune Arc. Lie Ren. Pyrrha Nikos. Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... Team JNPR. Lead by... Jaune Arc!

I'm proud of you Jaune. But I guess I won't be here to congratulate you.
