It is about a year and a half into the Clone Wars, and currently it's at the system where the frozen planet of Hoth, where the Republic and the Separatists have been battling for control of the icy planet...but recently, there is a problem; something, or someone, has attacked a Republic outpost. 

Soon, a Republic Cruiser named the Sovereign jumps out of Hyper-Space. On the bridge currently is Jedi Master Plo Koon, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his Togruta Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano.

"We're approaching Hoth now General." the admiral in charge of the Cruiser stated, Master Plo Koon soon saying "Have we had any words from the planet?" "No General, all communications to our bases are either jammed or not getting through." the Admiral replied. "Hmmm...it could be a snow storm playing with communications, but it's worth having a look." the Jedi Master soon said. 

Soon Skywalker replied to that "Or maybe the Separatists attacked the base." "We'll just have to wait and see, it appears..." said Master Koon. Soon the Admiral says "Commander Eclipse will meet you on the planet Generals." 

Master Koon nods to that saying "Thank you Admiral, tell the men to head to the gunships and head for the base." And with, the 3 Jedi in the room head to get into some clothing to contend with the snowy planet, and then on to the docking bay.

As soon as they reach the docking bay, they and their troops board the gunships and start heading to the planet. On the journey to one of the Republic outposts, Skywalker's young padawan, Ahsoka, soon asked "Master? Who's this "Commander Eclipse" the Admiral spoke of? And why do we need responded with "'Commander Eclipse' is Master Plo's new padawan, youngling, and her name is Amy Eclipse. And Master Plo is the reason why she's coming along on the mission."

Soon enough, they arrived onto the planet, a fairly light snow storm blowing through the planet...well light by Hoth's standards, which is the equivalent of a light blizzard...and the gunships land at one of the main Republic bases, one that looked untouched. 

They soon disembark from the gunships and start to enter the base. When they do however...they soon see that every Clone Trooper/Snow Trooper in the area is killed or slain in a manner best suiting that of an assassin...one of the Clone's, a Clone Captain named Rex, Anakin Skywalker's most trusted Clone soldier, soon says to that scene "What the hell happened here? Looks like they were taking down by an army of assassins." 

"Or a single one, Captain Rex." To which they turned to see Master Plo arriving with some clones of his own and a younger female in her early 20's entering the room. The young padawan soon speaks in an elegant tone, though with seriousness in the tone "There were more bodies throughout the base. Only one survivor so far."

"Masters! Check this out!" Ahsoka's voice bellowed, as the Jedi and their clones soon came over, soon seeing Ahsoka accessing a security terminal with a couple of clone technicians, soon saying when they came over "We've managed to recover some of the security footage from the base. Whoever the assassin is, their hacking skills were a bit sloppy when attacking the base." 

They soon look at what's available of the security feed, which even in it's corrupted state is fairly good, even if it's only partial pieces of it, and whilst they couldn't hear what was being said too much over the static, they could see what was going on fairly well. Seeing Clones scramble to a door near the Southern part of the base, armed and pointing their blasters at the door. "It looks like something was trying to break in through the back door." Amy said to that, to which Anakin says to that in a more ominous voice "Or someone..."

They soon see the door almost shudder a bit and start to buckle under some sort of pressure...before it soon seems like it's been taken off of its hinges...then suddenly the door rocketed straight at some of the troops, smashing the door and some of the clones out of a nearby window to their deaths, as there was nothing but a drop to the ground below out that window, leaving a big cloud of smoke where the door once was, the smoke being caused from damaged pipes that were meant to supply heat through the tunnels...then suddenly 2 beams of energy appeared: one blood red, and one black, similar to that of a darksaber!

"Those are lightsabers master!" Ahsoka said alarmed, stating the obvious, to which Anakin said to that "A lightsaber and a darksaber actually!" Then, the clones in the feed started firing at the beams of energy, only to have the bolts deflected...before each clone was cut down in very quick succession by the blades themselves as they are flung at the clones, a few of the clones getting impaled by both sabers...before the sabers quickly returned to their owner.

"Whoever it is clearly has the Force General." Captain Rex chipped in, having seen enough of his Jedi allies using the force alongside every clone trooper with them to know how it works. However, soon they see a figure begin to appear from the background and from within the smoke...and whoever it was, he was covered in what looked like a full body suit that looked maneuverable to move run in, and he was wearing a helmet that looks like it's designed to keep the wearer alive and/or breathing...and whoever it was had blade like finger attachments on his gloved hands, and also a number of lightsaber hilts attached to the belt, similar to General Grevious, but not as many sabers as the General himself has. 

The wielder also seemed to be holding the sabers in a reverse style, similar to how Ahsoka holds her lightsaber, and he seemed to use and fight with both sabers with relative ease. "What in gods name is that?" Captain Rex soon said to that. "I don't know...but I think it's safe to say that whoever he is...that this person is the assassin..." Master Plo answered. 

Ahsoka notices out of the corner of her eyes that Master Plo's padawan, Amy, had a surprised look on her face, looking at a particular saber hilt in particular on the belt of the assassin.

"Where's this guy heading to?" Anakin soon said as they see the assassin cutting down and blasting clones into walls and through windows with either his sabers or the Force on his way to one of the many rooms in the base. 

They soon see him throws his red lightsaber with the Force into the chest of another clone trooper...then surprisingly cutting down the remaining clones he's near and deflecting blaster fire with the remaining darksaber in his hand like nothing's happening, before eventually calling back his lightsaber back to his free hand with the Force. 

"He's very skilled, whoever he is. Not too many people can master wielding and fighting with both 2 sabers in their hands alongside the Force, let alone a single one." Anakin soon stated, impressed by the pure ease the assassin has with mastering this trick of his, as well as multiple lightsaber forms and Force forms with relative ease...even though the assassin is clearly no friend of the Republic...

They then saw the assassin enter the security room that they are watching the feed on, and see him deactivate one of his sabers, the red saber, and placed it on his belt as he accesses the security console, whilst deflecting blaster bolts with absolute ease with his darksaber without even looking at what's shooting at him, even deflecting the shots to the ones that sent the blaster fire his way, again without looking!

However, unfortunately, they can't see what he's accessing due to the static of the feed...and soon the feed itself fizzles out as the security feed ends.

"Looks like that's the last of the feed Masters." Ahsoka soon said, in which Anakin says aloud "Seems like we've found out who attacked the base. Though it's strange that the Separatists haven't arrived yet." 

"Ahsoka? How long ago was this according to the feed?" Master Plo soon asked, to which Ahsoka begins to check the logs, soon saying surprised "A day ago." Which surprises the other Jedi.

Soon another Clone Trooper came over as he says "Generals. Some Scouts from the base have returned. They were unaware of the base attack, but they've reported that someone under the description of the assassin that attack our base also attacked the Separatist Command Base half an hour afterwards." 

That surprised the Jedi, Amy soon saying in confusion "Why would the assassin attack the Separatists as well? It makes no sense." Anakin soon says to that "Unless he doesn't work for the Separatists...or at least not directly to them. Similar to Grevious and Ventress..." And boy...did Skywalker certainly hit it on the ball with that guess...

Meanwhile, in a meditation chamber aboard his ship as his ship leaves the system, the assassin was bowing down on a knee, a cybernetic and rhythmic breathing sound echoing around the room that was coming from the assassin, as what seemed like a life-like hologram of the former Jedi Knight turned Sith Lord and co-leader of the Separatists, Count Dooku, appeared standing before him before saying "I trust you retrieved the data and left no witnesses...my apprentice." To which the assassin soon said in a dark, almost sinister cybernetic-like voice "Yes...my master."
