Little Red Riding Hood

FOUR YEARS LATER (YEAH I'M GONNA SKIP)

I sit in a chair in my room and stair at the portal. I can't believe it's been four years. I have changed so much since then. I've become a lot taller and stronger, plus my wings finally strengthened, although I still am a little shaking on flying since nobody can teach me. My shadow men have become so complex that I can play chess against them and loose (and win) I have been secretly practicing creating portals to look into other places but I still can't seem to locate my family. Treetop gave me a red cap that turns me invisible and he bought me a black combat skirt (NOT a dress) with a black tank top that has a cool, lacy back.
I sigh and close the portal into the Shadow Dimension. Where could they all be? I throw a bag over my shoulder and begin to walk out of the house. Treetop was away fro a bit on wiz-biz so I had the cottage all to myself. As i stroll down the path, I hear shouting and screaming. I slide into a bush and watch as a person runs by. She is wearing black and white stripes, a prisoner uniform. Dropping my bag, I run along side her, trees blocking her from seeing me. I move my hand like I'm throwing a ball and what looks like a little beetle appears. She doesn't notice it and steps right on it. With a flick of my wrist, it explodes causing her to fall over onto the path. I coast in front over her, wings stretched out for the perfect angel.
"Hello little girl." She snaps as she stands up.
"Hello convict." I snap. The woman scowls at me and flicks her blond hair out of her face.
"What are you doing way out here?" She brushes off the dirt, "You're pretty deep in these woods."
"I might ask you the same question." I snap back.
"So," She gives me a sour look, "Are you looking for Granny's house," -she tugs on my cape, "little red riding hood."
"Funny," I pull it out of her hands, "Must have stayed up for nights in your cell thinking of that one."
"Cell?" She tilts her head.
"Shut up. I can see the freaking jump suit, lady!"
"Oh this?" She runs her fingers down her thighs and the once striped pair of baggy pants turn into a pair of pressed, black pants. She then lightly taps her chest and the shirt turns into a blazer and blouse.
"You can change into any clothes you want,' I scan her outfit as she ties her hair in a bun, "and you chose a pant suit?"
"I find the right clothes help boost your magical energy."
"That's bull." I state. She leans against a tree and takes out a pocket mirror. As she starts to apply make up, a guard comes over.
"Excuse me?" He breathes heavily and sweats like a cow, "Have... you seen... a woman with... blond... hair... in... a prison...er...uniform?"
"Yeah she's right..." My voice trails off. Where once the tall, blond haired, blue eyed woman leaning against a tree was now a bunch of vines.
"Vines? Very funny Little Red Riding Hood." The guard sighs and runs off.
"I'm going into town." I punch the now vine-covered tree as hard as I can and It snaps in half, cause the prisoner to reveal herself from the tangle of vines. "Do you need anything?"
"You... you knew I was hear?" She stutters. I nod and begin to retrace my steps to find my bag.

"I'm one of the worlds strongest witches," I snap, "A little illusion manipulation won't stop me girly."
"I'm Ci-Civ." She sucks out her manicured hands.
"I'm Red." I turn without shaking her hand.

"Really?" She asks, tugging on my red cape again.
"Yes." I snatch it from her and continue walking. I find my bag and throw it over my shoulder. It lands and pulls my hair and it takes me a bit to get it all unstuck. I continue walking and the woman follows me.
"So," She catches up quickly (for a woman in heels) and walks calmly next to me, "You're a powerful witch."
"Yes." I growl. What was with this lady?
"I'm strong too." She holds out her hand, revealing what looks like a failed attempt at a mini person. I choke back laughter. "What?" She closes her hand.
"Nothing," I shift my bag and hold the strap with both hands. "Just... for someone so old, I didn't expect such week magic." She huffs and we come to the village.
"Let's see you do better, smarty pants." She fixes her posture and walks in front of me.
"You sure?" I drop the bag, "Ok then." I close my eyes and within seconds a thirty foot tall shadow giant is kneeling before me.
"Oh my..." Civ's voice trails off.
"Hi Steve!" I wave. I turn to Civ and say, "I call him Steve."
"Well," Civ walks around him, "Steve is quite impressive."
"Hi Red!" Jinx calls. I make Steve disappear and Jinx runs between my legs.
"You literally are Little Red riding Hood." Civ scoff. Jinx shows he teeth and growls.
"It's all good." I pet Jinx's head and walk towards her. "I've decided to let her live."
"That persons a villain." Jinx states.
"Did that wolf-thing just talk?" Civ asks, surprised.
"Yeah," I shrug, "But, maybe she can teach me illusion manipulation magic."
"I would stick to Shadow and Mind magic if I were you." Jinx whimpers.
"But your not me." I point out. "Civ, would you teach me."
"Sure." Civ shrugs.
"Let's start now." I suggest. Civ nods and sits on a rock while I sit on the grass.
"But," Civ holds out a finger, "It is tricky."
"I'm up for it."

It did not take long. I was turning into animate and inanimate objects that exist and don't exist in an hour or so. Civ stormed away, something about it taking years to master it and it only taking me seconds. I go to the village, Jinx disguised as a cat. Then, there is a very loud, noticeable scream.
