I WILL STOP AT NOTHING
I wake up the next day, sighing. The day before feels like a blur and all staticky. I can't seem to pick out individual moments, it's all mushed together. I groggily get out off the couch and look. The wall was all fixed, did I dream the whole thing?
"You're finally awake!" Fang shouts and throws her arms around me. Something wasn't right... I felt off. My head felt cloudy, almost like I was a whole different person the day before. I fall onto a chair in the kitchen and place my head on the counter, eyes closed.
"Red," Someone shook me.
"What?" I groan, eyes still closed.
"Do you recognize me?" The person pushes me off the chair. I slap the counter and stool for balance, but I fall onto my back on the hard wood floor. I look up to see End smiling at me. I stand up and punch him. He screams and flies into the wall.
I wipe the dust from my back and sit back down.
"Hello?" A woman asks as the door creaks open. I look to see a girl with long blue hair and a white dress blowing in the dry air outside.
I smile, "this must be the bride of Frankenstein here." I elbow End in the gut and he smiles awkwardly.
"You must be Red. I've heard so much about you." The woman smiles. "My name is Lemon."
"Like the fruit?" I look at End.
Lemon makes a irritated smile. "Says the girl with a color for her name."
I roll my eyes. "Whatever."
"Sorry," End apologizes for me. "She's only nine."
"I'm eleven on Mewni." I correct.
"Mmhmm sure. Keep telling yourself that." End laughs and I roll my eyes. "Hey Mage, can we hang out here for a bit?"
"Mmhmm." Mage nods. "Don't worry I'll be here for a while."
"Sweet!" End smiles and him and Lemon sit down on the couch.
"Hey Red." Fang grabs my arm out of nowhere. "Come with me."
"I guess I'm leaving." I shrug and follow Fang out of the house and down the street. We walk for a while and finally reach the forest.
"Whaaat are we doing here?" I ask.
"C'mon." She walks along side the forest, not going into it.
"We could just walk through it." I point out.
"But that would take longer." Fang ducks under a branch. I, on the other hand, jump over it.
"But if we are going to walk along the path,
I mean, where are we even going?"
"We are almost there." Is all Fang said on the subject. I walk a few steps behind her, groggily. Soon the forest curves and a huge field emerges. In the middle is a cherry blossom tree with a beautiful red and black rock under it. I smile and walk towards it. The ground starts to break apart in front of me and I stop. Carved deeply into a rock under the tree, it reads:
Here lies the grave of Raven; a loving friend to all whom met her and a amazing mother to her children.
A tear leaves my eye and I fall to my knees. I had completely forgotten to burry her. Seven Mewni years later and I still never asked Treetop what happened to her. Tears leave my eyes, turning the bright green grass yellow. I fall to the ground, and grasp the grass in my hands.
"I'll go back to the house." Fang whispers from far away. I wait about ten minutes, so I know Fang is back at the house.
Then I scream in cries.
"Mom..." I feel tears fall out of my eyes like a waterfall. "I-I promised I would never- never turn evil. I promised nobody would ever hurt our family again. I failed you. I failed at both things. I... I..." I cry harder and feel my fingers grip the soil. I look up at the stone, I wipe a tear away from my eye. I stare at it, and at the tree as the last of the white petals fall onto the ground.
"Red," I can almost hear my mother saying, "You were named after the color of war and blood, but also the color of love. Good will prevail as long as you want it to."
I smile at the rock, "you always know what to say, moma. And you always will." I hold my heart and stand up, "I'll be back." I turn and look up at the sky, expecting to see clear blue skies not a cloud to be seen. The way it was this morning.
But no, the sky has turned a deep black and grey. I look and see the reflection of fire in the sky.
"Oh no!" I scream. With one last glance at the grave, I take off at top speeds into the air. The black mist disintegrates under the strength of my wings. I land on a tree and stare at the kingdom. A giant rainbow stretched across the town, flames irrupting out of it. I stare, horrified. Pieces of it fall into the town, crashing and creating huge fires. I was at a lost for words. I take off and dive right into the fire. I fly down the streets, avoiding huge blasts of fire-rainbows and find where my house is.
Or here it should be.
I land, horrified at what I see. The house is it irrupted in flames, a huge piece of rainbow flat on top of it. I back up, seeing a skull inside. I trip over my own feet and get up quickly. I fly away. Far away. Tear flying from my eyes. I land on the ground and fall. I feel my skin break under the dirt. I can barely move, my head is spinning. I look up to see yellow.
I grit my teeth.
I clench my teeth.
I feel the power surge through me.
"Do it." Says a deep voice in my head. "She deserves it."
I scream at the top of my lungs and feel the black flames erupt out my my body. I walk towards the girl, although everything looks disoriented. I feel as power and evil surge through me, I walk up to her.
"HAULT!" A guard screams. I stare at it, I can feel my eyes glowing.
"Go," I take a deep breath then scream, "AWAY!" Shadow arms brake from the earth, creating huge indents. I walk towards the Princess, each guard becoming easier and easier to go leave. I grab her dress and stare at her right in the eyes, her blue eyes which are filled with fear.
"Hi." She mutters.
I smile, my fangs feeling bigger. "Hello Princess." I spit and lift her into the air. "And goodbye!" I reach back my hand.
But the I feel something stab it. I hiss in pain and fall to the ground. Looking up, I see a man holding a huge Berle that's attached to a huge crystal ball like thing. I fall to the ground, my eyes shaking.
I awake seven hours later in a dark dungeon.
"Finally awake." A guard laughs. I stand up, to find my arms cuffed to the wall.
"Where am i!?" I scream.
He laughs. "Welcome to prison. Where you will spend the rest of your life."
"That's what you think." I mutter to myself, my arms bursting with power still. I smile a sickening grin.
"Watch out Princess." I laugh to myself, my hair cover my face messily, "it's only a matter of time before I squirm free. Then your life will become your worst nightmare. And my revenge will be sweeter than any tasted before."
I laugh at myself as I hatch a plan.
"Get ready." I pull on the chains. Titanium, darn.
Don't worry I will get out.
And that Princess will pay
Pay for what she's done
