EPILOUGE: THE STORY OF FANG

"I'm sorry to here about that." Treetop sighs. He was looking very weak, his cool staff was more of a cool stick if you asked me.
"Red definitely awake the monster arm." I glare at him. "You light the fire."
I frowns. "I know. I just couldn't let my own daughter suffer."
"And now all of humanity is going to suffer." I cross my arms. "Mage told me that thing relies of revenge and hatred, does it not?"
He sighs, "yes."
"So adding it to a girl with evil magic swarming around her was a bed idea right?"
He sighs, "yes."
"What do you have to say for yourself, Dad?" I grit my teeth.
"I can fix this."
"You're not fixing anything." I stop him. "Red is now a monster, a slave to all of her evil. They already took away her powers but I have no doubt they forgot some."
"I see."
"My own sister is a monster and will destroy me. Her mind is going to get warped. Soon not even people she knows is safe." I shake my head.
"I understand."
"The only way to save humanity is to kill her." I sigh.
"You mean, you don't care if your sister dies?"
"I NEVER SAID THAT!" I scream.
"What do you propose?" He says. I slam my fist down on a table in his hut.
"I don't know." I admit. "But I need to get off Mewni."
"Why?"
"They are still looking for witches for the mines. If we had had a lot of water, that fire could have been avoided."
"I see." He stands from the old wood chair. "That fire was not natural."
"It's was a burning rainbow. I gathered that."
"It was caused by Star Butterfly."
"right. Today's the day she got her wand."
"Exactly. Red must want to destroy her."
I think for a second. "This plan would be a lot easier with Mage."
"I know. Sorry for your losses." He says coldly but I can tell he meant well. My stomach was churning. This must have been how Red felt when she was in the mines. Alone, not knowing if we were dead or not. And when we had to shift houses and couldn't find her, it was a mess. I had nobody to turn to except a despicable father who left my mother.
"Why did you leave my mother?" I demand. He looks shocked at first, then smiles.
"She was such a kind lady."
"Then why did you leave her!?" I pound my fist on the table.
"She and I agreed that the less you knew about your background the better. I was quite a free spirit, but I was also cursed. Thankfully it wasn't passed to you but I didn't know how it would effect her."
"What curse?" I asked stunned.
"I can never grow older since I was twenty."
I was shocked.
"That's how I became a powerful wizard. Time."
"So that's why you live in the woods." I observe.
"Precisely."
"How would have it affected my mother?"
"She would grow older and I would stay young. Thy hardly seems fair."
"Wow."
"It's been about fifty years. I have stood at cliffs many times wondering if it's time. But i knew I had to see you guys at least once before I decided to pass on."
"You can still die?"
"If I am killed yes."
"That explains a lot," I stare at him, his eyes looking at his feet.
"And now I have." He smiles and walks around int eh kitchen a little bit.
"I want to keep an eye out." I confess. "I want to spy on Star Butterfly."
"For which side?"
"Huh? I don't understand-"
"For Red, for me or for Mewni?"
"All three."
He smiles. "I know just the person for your disguise."
It took some time but all I find myself in a glowing cave.
"Can I help you?" Said a young woman. She had blond hair and wore a tight, black pencil skirt and a white blouse, which seemed a bit fancy for someone in a cave. Treetop walked over and gave her a hug. For someone in his twenties, he sure acted old.
So he explained our predicament quickly and the woman agreed to help.
"My name is Civ." the woman sticks out her hand.
"Fang," I say suspiciously and she pulls me farther into the cave where the rocks glowed the brightest.
"What do you want to look like?" She asks. I shrug.
"Make her blend in with the crowd of Earth." Treetop stumbles in and sits on a rock. I narrow my eyes and Civ walks around me.
"No wings, no fangs, duller eyes, and a different outfit. And hair, new hair."
"What are you going to do exactly?" I ask.
"Illusion manipulation magic." Civ holds out her hands and they glow red. "Your wings will be hard. Can't we just cut them off?"
"WHAT NO!?" I scream. She shrugs and begins to work her magic (literally)
"Darker skin." She takes two hints and touches my forearm. The color travels around my body until I'm completely tan like I spent a year on the light planet. She stares at me.
"What now?" I ask.
"No white highlights." She takes her pointer finger and draws a vertical squiggly line in the air. I watch as the white washed out.
I sigh.
"Ok so..." She touches my eye lids and my eyes stop glowing I can feel it.
"What now?" I groan. I didn't believe changing my appearance would be this taxing.
"This." She pulls out a pair of normal scissors and cute my hair to above my shoulders. I try not to cry. At least she left my bangs.
"Here." She throws clothes at me. "But these on and make sure to put those slits over your wings.
I do what she said and soon I looks as if I have no bat wings. I have a green tank top on with a light green/blue sweater and a light green skirt. My fabric hat is dark green and I lace up my black boots.
"How do I look?" I ask Civ and Treetop as i walk out from behind the rock.
"Nice." Civ nods. I close my mouth because I didn't want her to remember to take out my fangs.
"What now?" I ask.
"What's your new name?" Treetop asks. "Fang isn't exactly normal down there."
"True." Civ agrees.
"Hmm..." I think for a second. "How about Janna?"
