You hid your feelings for him for so long after you fell for him when he became Captain. But Bones and you have a strong bond so what will happen when he brings it up?

Captain James T. Kirk or Jim was the Captain of the USS Enterprise. A lot of girls adored him. Maybe even say go head over heals. Hot, good looking. You can't say you didn't notice every detail of his beauty.  But he did these one nights stands, he hasn't had a love relationship except for sleeping with a couple girls. In your case, he's not slept with you and you secretly have a crush on him. When you first met him, you didn't really like him whatsoever but now you're best friends and you, wish there was more. You would try and love other boys to not focus your attention on him in case he DID have a love relationship with one of his one-night stand girls but it only made you care about him more.

You had first met him at the academy, didn't exactly like him because he was so stuck up. His attitude was outrageous and his attitude sometimes made you think that he cared nothing more but his own skin, hot women and bars.

But you didn't have any friends in the academy so you often were quite lonely. You were quite bubbly, maybe too bubbly for no reason whatsoever ever. So people avoided you, figured you were weird or crazy when you would have random happiness buzzes, period bitchie or depressing sadness.

If it wasn't for Leonard McCoy, his best friend to sit by you every so often and Jim to pay notice to you, you probably would've still been lonely. Leonard had his wife leave him so it confused you sometimes when he would tolerate you when he was such a chilled out guy. Leonard stated the fact that he didn't want a nice young lady to be so alone and mopping in such an extraordinary academy. And he allowed you to call him Bones as you became best friends and a group of three. However, because of Jim's attitude, he was easily noticed by anyone because he acted in a way to grab attention. Especially yours because you were always too lazy to say no when he wanted to drag you around New York.

He was still a dick sometimes, but after the Romulan incident and destruction of Vulcan, whatever happened on the Enterprise made him change and become a better man while you were still stuck in the Academy. And when you saw how he changed, it stunned you. Stunned you enough to be happy that he became Captain of the Enterprise. The thoughts on him began to change and you began to fall for him. Inconveniently, you and Bones were such good friends that he was able to read you like a book.

"So, when are you gonna tell him?"

"Hmm?" Confused by his question, you glanced over at Leonard. He has this look in his eyes. You pause. You both worked as Doctors so spare times to talk weren't too difficult.

"Jim...Y/n, dammit. We have been friends for over three to four years. Tell Jim how you feel."

You gasped surprised and your eyes widen with your heart caught in your throat.

You were unsure what would happen if you told him how you felt. If he would not feel the same, if he would, if it wouldn't last long. You were unsure so you shut your mouth, you didn't say a word to anyone. And you didn't even know how if Jim liked you that way. Bones and you have a strong bond yet you are younger than him so he's made it clear that he sees you like a little sister.

"Y/n. You can tell me anything." You nodded genuinely.

It was troubling. You've never seen him any affection to you. You didn't know how to gather your words.

"I dunno Bones." You mopped. He frowned. "What's the point?"

With the other guys that you were in a relationship, there was always something wrong with them. One flaw with them. Abusive, manipulative, lazy, guys first, addicted, alcoholic, whatever it was. It wasn't something petty, you couldn't deal with it. So you stopped trying to date anyone.

"I always see you with that look in your eyes. You really like him."

Your face flustered as you looked away.

"Okay, how about this." He suggested.

"I'll talk to Jim about it." You tensed up about it and turned to him.

"I-He may not-"

"I'll talk to him, do you trust me?" He questions.

With a bit of hesitation, you nodded. This was really happening. Holy shit.

"Just got today. You can take the rest of the day off."

You didn't fight it and you left the area and went to your quarters. You decided to loosen up and get into more comfortable clothes and then relax in a nice warm.

You had some space for a couple hours. Maybe four to five hours when you heard a knock on you.

It took you by surprise and at this point you had finished your back and was watching something on the TV.

You quickly paused it and trotted over to the door. You peeked through the peep hole but your heart dropped. You were lost for words.

"He,llo? Y/n, are you in there?"

It was the Captain. Bones must've had that talk already. You didn't know what to do! Your heart pounded everything second you saw you him.

Your breath shook as you opened the door. "Hey Captain."

He smiled lightly and chuckled. "Y/n, you know you can call me Jim. We're off duty."

"O-Oh, right." You stuttered.

You opened the door wide and let him in, shutting it behind him.

"So do you want something to drink or a bite to eat?" You asked.

"Uh, I'll just have a coffee."

With that you got a cup out and readied the coffee machine.

"So, Bones told me some interesting news."

You coughed. "What news would that be?"

You heard him walk up behind you and you turned around.

"You have these feelings for me."

Your breath was caught in your throat as you looked up at him. The truth was already out, you might as well be honest.

"Yeah, I have. I've had feeling for you. For a while now."

He was listening to you carefully and you barely noticed that his hand cupped in yours.

"I first thought of you as my best friend but for working beside you on the ship, I've had these feelings for you. You're kind and genuine and you protect your crew and your heart is large enough for everyone on the ship. You're strong and protective when you need to be. I-I-I could go on but I've fallen for you."

"Y/n." You looked down and at your feet. You didn't know what he would say.

"Y/n." You looked up at his blue eyes. His hand was brought up to your cheek and caressed in your own hand. It was silent and all you had is your breathing.

"I, have feelings for you too. I always did, but..." He was cut off when you moved your lips to his and connected

It was a bold move that made you think twice but when you both melted into it, you relaxed. Your spare hand wrapped around his neck while his spare hand wrapped around your waist to pull you closer.

When you broke the kiss for air, you opened your eyes and looked into his blue orbs as he stared into your e/c ones.

"Y/n, you have no idea how long that took me to do." He whispered.

"You didn't act like you liked me when I first met you. But if I met me when I first met you then I could understand why."

You chuckled and buried your face into his chest. You heard him chuckle against you as well and you felt yourself relax in his arms, wrapping them around your waist.

"You have no idea how long it took me to do that." Jim sighed and layed his chin on your head.

"I've had feelings for you, for so long I hid my feelings because I knew you didn't feel the same that time. Yet you still tolerated me, aside from the fact of how I acted. You were still by side, still there for me."

You smiled and wrapped your arms around his neck. "Jim, I began falling for you when you were Captain of the Enterprise. But with your one night stands, I didn't think you would've liked me so I his my feelings."

"Y/n, I still liked you. You are one of the few women who properly tolerate me off duty."

You kept your head buried in his chest. "Y/n."

You gently grabbed your chin and lifted your head up where he planted a kiss on your cheek. You blushed.

"I won't treat you like that. Ever. Off or on duty you will always be my friend and I will love you for so much more."

You caressed his cheek and kissed him on the lips which he returned passionately. He broke the kiss slightly and leaned his head against yours, eyes still closed. Your heart was pounding. This was real.

"I will never, ever hurt you. I promise that. I'll make sure you feel safe with me, I'll protect you with my love." You smiled and hugged his back tightly which he held your waist. You leaned your head in his neck while he had his chin on the top of your head.

You smiled happily as you both stood there, it was just you both as you settled in the stars.

Both of you against the Universe.
