Oops- Kirk
You stood in awe as you gazed up at the impressive expanse of the Enterprise. You had heard stories of Starfleet's finest, but you had no idea it would be this majestic. You looked around your home planet, at the people you will be representing as new members in the United Federation of Planets. You watched as crew members helped transport your gifts to Starfleet onto the large ship with their high-end technology.
You adjusted your hat and pulled at your leather, elbow length gloves as you squinted up at the ship that will be taking you to the Federation correspondence meeting. You let out a puff of air, feeling your corset loosen a bit. You lost a bet and now you were forced to travel who knows how long to meet strangers, all because they found out your people's little secret. You shouldn't be surprised, though; it was a miracle no other advanced species had found this planet any sooner.
The sound of your title being called by your second in command pulled you out of your thoughts and back to the task at hand. "M'lady Resinate, pardon me, but it is time we go."
You took a deep breath and nodded to her. You turned back to your home; the cozy buildings, the carriage rides, weekend parties and monthly balls, lawn luncheons and midnight adventures. And the blue glow of power that ribboned and snaked its way through the cracks of the roads and buildings making the need for street lamps obsolete.
You finally turned, leaving it all behind you as you made your way to the transport spot, the sound of your heeled boots echoing on the cobblestoned pathway. You came to stand next to your second in command, AJ, a girl wearing a dress very similar to your own but instead of a hat she wore her hair in two messy buns on the top of her head littered with small trinkets one could use in a pinch. You adjusted your hat one more time, ignoring the smirk she sent you.
"Stop fidgeting. You look fine. If you keep going on as you do I'll need to recalibrate your arm again."
You nudged her with your elbow, receiving a small giggle in return. "Hush. I'll recalibrate your face with my fist if I have to." You smiled at her teasingly as you nonchalantly scratched your leg, wanting to make sure of something.
Satisfied with how you felt, you nodded to the man in the red shirt behind you. He nodded back, speaking into a small communication device. Before you could think how they got it that small you suddenly felt cold before the scenery around you changed from your industrial home to the inside of the grand ship.
You felt your head spin and the cogs on your arm whirred. You were suddenly filled with hatred for the woman who put you up to the bet and for your innate ability to get yourself into the most awkward and troubling situations.

Spock told Kirk to not stare once the Resinate boarded the ship, but he forgot that instruction the moment you beamed aboard. He was debriefed about you and your people's culture before your arrival, but as it turned out, he wasn't fully prepared to actually see you in person.
You hadn't noticed him yet so he took that time to get a good look at you. Your dress was elaborate but made in brown tones making your (e/c) eyes glow. You wore an oddly large but fetching hat, a pair of worn goggles and some leather straps adorned the rim. Your hair fell down your back, shining in the light of the transporter room. He noticed you tugging at your left glove as if worried it might fly off despite it being pulled all the way up your arm.
He had already deemed you beautiful but once you turned to him fully, your face coming into view, he changed his mind. You were strikingly beautiful. But he quickly shooed away his primal thoughts as he remembered your purpose here. You are an ambassador and must be treated as such.
You stepped forward, extending your hand in greeting. "Resinate (L/n). You must be the captain of this gem," you stated in awe, "I am honored you have taken the time out of your exploration to assist in my travels to the correspondence."
Kirk smiled, reaching out to grasp your hand, finding your grip firm. But your words seemed practiced and your eyes wondered all around him giving him the impression you weren't exactly comfortable. A sudden urge to quickly find a way to make you comfortable overtook him as he swept his arm to the rest of the ship. He sent you what he hoped was a warm smile.
"Captain James T. Kirk. Please, the honor is all mine. I am pleased to have another ally on our side. I am quite impressed with your people's sudden spike in technological innovation."
You forgot yourself and snorted, placing your left arm behind your back as its cogs and gears clicked from its movement. Kirk's brows rose and he watched your face closely.
You cleared your throat and clasped your hands behind your back. "I brought my second in command. She will need to speak with your chief medical officer, head engineer and anyone else you deem important for her to talk to." You nodded to AJ, who stood at your elbow. Her looks deceived all tho judged at first glance; she is in fact only slightly younger than yourself and by far the smartest of the Grandious woman. But she lacked leadership skills, something you apparently have an abundance of.
Kirk looked over at her, his eyes widening at her apparent young age. "Of course. Mr. Scott would you please." You watched as a man smiled and escorted AJ away. You gave her a nod as she sent you a questioning look, but you knew she trusted your judgment.
You turned to Kirk, doing your best not to get caught up on how attractive he was. "Forgive me, Captain, but you are mistaken." The two of you started off again, him leading you to your residential suite.
Kirk gave you a passive glance, his brow raising. "Oh? I'll have you know that my science officer is a Vulcan and they are the most logical beings we have encountered. You would be hard pressed to ever find him wrong."
You give him a small smile accompanied by a nod. "I mean no offense to you and your crew but..."
You were interrupted by the ship shaking, taking a few hits from...something and it caused red lights to shoot on followed by an alarm blaring in the halls. You stumbled into Kirk, feeling his arms wrap around you to keep you steady.
"Are you alright?" You hear him as you under his breath as you both found your footing again.
You gave him a nod, watching as he contacted a Mr. Sulu, his voice coming over the small device in his hand.
"It seems to be a squadron of eight ships; classification and origin we know nothing about."
Your eyes grew wide and you stepped forward, leaning close to Kirk to ask his friend a question.
"Do they have three wings, three spires, and yellow lights?"
"Yes. How did you know?"
Your eyes grew wide as you looked up at Kirk. He searched your face, an apology clearly written all over it. Before he could say anything you stepped back, pulling your gloves off your hands and throwing them on the floor. Kirk stood there in awe as he watched you transform.
Your mechanical hand whirred to life as you made quick work of your hat, pulling it down to take a leather strap off the rim to use as a tie for your hair. You took the goggles next, slipping them over your head and letting them lay around your neck. You placed your hat back on your head, making sure you heard a click as it sent a pre-made single message to AJ. Next, you picked up your gloves off the ground, steadying yourself as the ship took another hit.
You had to work fast.
You took your gloves and fashioned them into a slingshot of sorts, clipping it to your waist as you checked the heels of your boots for ammunition. Lastly, you unthreaded a small cord from the back of your dress. You pulled it taunt before you looked at the Captain standing before you, frozen in awe.
"I'm not sure of your customs, but do pardon me as I do this."
He gave you a mute nod and you nodded back. With one swift motion, you pulled the cord. Your dress rustled and the fabric moved, pulling up to bunch in some areas as to leave your legs free from getting tangled in the long dress. You wrapped the now long cord around your middle a few times before you tied it off on the side in a nice bow.
You examined yourself in a wall panel, nodding in approval. You turn to Captain kirk, grabbing his hand in yours. "Come, it is time you see we are not so primitive as you think."
Kirk watched in awe as you took command, calling orders and making sure things were in place before you told him you were going to be beamed onto the ship. AJ came bounding up, handing you a small device that you tucked in your small belt.
"Captian, I ask you beam us back after six minutes exactly." You stated as you and AJ stepped on the transporter pad.
Kirk stepped forward, placing a hand on the transporter technician's shoulder. "And after six minutes?"
You gave your mechanical hand a look as you flexed it, making sure everything was working smoothly. "They will self-destruct. They are the type who would go down fighting than to let a few woman take them in for questioning." You nodded, not wanting to explain any further.
Kirk nodded back. "I trust your judgment."
You held up your hand, stepping off the pad for a moment. Kirk stepped forward too, his heart racing. You kept your voice low as you held his gaze. "Do leave the fighting to us. We know how they work and I would hate for you to have another war on your hands."
"Of course. Just be sure to come back. I don't know how I'm going to explain to them that it wasn't my fault you couldn't make it."
"Oh, ye of little faith." You winked then was gone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You hunkered next to AJ, closing your eyes as she let off her section of explosives. You took out your remote and sighed. Thank goodness the Federation found your people, this was getting old.
AJ stood and turned to you, her face filled with worry. "Here they come. Three minutes. That's all we have left." And she was gone, setting more detonations.
You pulled out your knives, slashing at the enemy, making your way to the other side of the ship to set off your own explosions. Suddenly the ship shook and at the most inconvenient timing too.
You were just passing over a small walkway, either side buzzing with electricity and magnets. Two things that would rob you of your arm if you stood too close. And you did just that. You were thrown to the side, your arm sticking to the wall. Try as you might you couldn't get it unattached. Pain ran up your arm making tears spring to your eyes. You signaled for AJ and she came running.
"Go, run. Take this and go back to their ship. I can not move." You pressed one of their communicators in her hand, pressing the button for her to be beamed back.
AJ shook her head but she was already starting to dematerialize. "NO!"
Then you were alone, breathing heavily as you tried to come to terms with your end.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kirk strapped tools around his waist as he stood on the transporter pad, AJ rattling off information about what he will see.
"Be careful. She will be able to feel all you do. But do not leave her there. She is the Radiant- she is important to the Woman of the Grandious Council. And she is my friend."
Kirk nodded. "This is my fault. I should have come with you both."
AJ watched as he dematerialized, hoping beyond hope that he will bring you back.
Kirk looked around his new surroundings, shielding himself from sparks coming from all around him. Off to the side, he spotted a form, the sound of machinery struggling to work. You cowered close to your arm as you felt the ship around you spark and crumble. You let out a shout when you felt a hand on your back and arm, but a familiar smell made you relax into the warm body behind you.
"What are you doing here? Are you crazy?"
Kirk smiled. "Something like that. Hold still and bite onto this. I need to get you free." He gave you a swatch of leather to bite onto. You looked into his eyes and your silent question of worry was answered with a kind smile and a gentle rub on your cheek. "One minute. That's all I need."
Sadly, as it turned out, it was taking longer than he thought and the two of you had to make a quick decision. You spit out the leather swatch. "Beam back. Go. NOW."
"Nope," Kirk grunted, "not without you."
Kirk called to beam the two of you back right when he took what was left of your arm and yanked with all his might. You let out a yell of pain, grabbing your torn, sparking stump as you fell against Kirk.
The two of you soon found yourselves back on the Enterprise, breathing heavily. Kirk held you close to him as you bore your pain well. You looked up at him, a grimace of a smile pulling at your lips.
"I do hope your Federation is as exciting. I'm afraid I shall grow bored otherwise."
Kirk wiped hair from your face, smiling down at you. "Welcome to The Federation of Planets. You are going to fit right in."
You let out a breath, fully relaxing onto him as he stroked your hairline comfortingly.
Ok, so....this was based off an OC of mine. I loved the idea of her (in the form of you) meeting Kirk. I hope it was to your liking hahaha thanks for putting up with my odd stories. *whispering* sorry it's so long *sweating smile emoji*
