My Dove - Chekov
Here you are @MountedPhan I hope this is along the lines of what you were hoping for!
You blinked hard as you placed a hand on your head, silently praying for your killer headache to subside. The last thirty-six hours have been a pain in the butt. Well, more like a pain in the head; you have been fighting this headache that, not matter what, won't go away. Though you haven't gone to see Bones yet.
He tends to turn into your father though it's not surprising seeing as how you are his younger sister. You are technically still a cadet engineer but when your brother is the CMO of the Enterprise and best friends with the captain you kind of get special treatment even if you didn't sign up for it.
But not that you were necessarily complaining. Pavel Chekov tends to make your assignment to the ship a bit more bearable. His easy smile, cute accent, and contagious laugh made for break time and shore leave something to look forward to. Since the start of the five-year mission the two of you have gradually gravitated to each other. But recently you were sure it was because of the attraction between the two of you.
Well, at least on your end. Speaking of the young Russian, he had asked if you wanted to meet for dinner but you kindly turned him down so you could catch up on some much-needed rest. Maybe you should have agreed.
"Please head, just stop. I'll do anything." You whisper to yourself as you move to a secluded part of the Enterprise's engine room. You smiled to yourself at the memories that were attached to that specific area. You weren't sure if you were blushing from the memories or heating up due to the headache.
Your dress feels tight and your hair is annoying you. You sweep your hair up into a bun then worked to finish the diagnostics you were running. You wiped away sweat and pulled at your dress, the fabric irritating your skin. You let out a little cough that soon caused a chain of body racking coughs. You dropped your PADD and leaned against a wall, covering your mouth. You let out a cough that almost pushed you over. You swallow and try to catch your breath but your breathing quickened at the sight of blood on your hand as you pulled it away from your mouth.
"What in the world," you mumbled.
Suddenly your eyes went blurry and no amount of blinking cleared them. You tried to stand but you stumble and fall to the ground in the heap. Shaking despite how hot you felt, covered in sweat, head throbbing and panting, you prayed you wouldn't die. If you lived you would promise to never miss a visit to your brother. Or to never pass up the opportunity to hang out with Chekov.
Chekov stretched as he finished his last shift shadowing Mr. Scott. "I'm done, Mr. Scott. I'll see you tomorrow."
The chief engineer merely nodded and raised a hand, focusing all his attention on a small circuit board. Chekov smiled and shook his head slightly. He grabbed some of his things and was about to head back to his place but be remembered you were working late. Looking around the Ensign tried to think where you might be working. Instinctively, Chekov headed to the back area that the two of you would escape to talk when work was slow. Or in one instance, Chekov's personal favorite, to kiss.
But kissing was the last thing on his mind when he came up on the spot and finding you curled up in a ball, shaking.
"(Y/N)!" He rushed forward, dropping beside you, feeling your forehead as he pushed away stray hairs that stuck to your damp skin. Without a second thought, he pulled out his communicator and contacted Bones to have a bio-bed ready for you. He hung up before your brother was able to ask any questions. Chekov needed to get you to wake up before he took you to the med bay.
"Can you hear me?" Chekov wrapped his arms around you to pull you close to him. He grabs one of your hands, rubbing with his thumb to warrant a response. "Squeeze my hand if you even the least bit alive." His voice cracked as he started stroking your cheek.
You let out a little groan as you tried to pry your eyes open. The worried Russian's voice made you suddenly aware that you were in pain. Your brows furrowed and you did as he asked, squeezing his hand just barely.
Chekov stilled, thinking he imagined it, but you finally opened your eyes up enough to look at him, giving him a painfully small smile.
"I suggest we don't kiss this time."
Chekov smiled wide and let out a nervous laugh. "I might reconsider if you end up living. Come on, your brother is waiting for you." He gently stands with you then swept you into his arms bridal style.
You opened your mouth to say something, but Chekov beat you to it. "It can wait. Just relax and rest. You might say this is karma for rejecting me earlier."
You scoffed but smiled slightly as you did as he said, relaxing in his arms as you rest your head in the crook of his neck. Before you knew it, his breathing and steady steps lulled you to sleep.
Chekov rushed into the med-bay as gingerly as he could without jostling you awake. Bones rushed over to the two of you, pointing to a bio-bed for him to set you on. Your brother stood over you as he scanned you with handheld devices.
"Was she like this when you found her?" Bones southern accent grew thick as his worry climbed.
Chekov nodded, grabbing a seat next to you, pulling close to your side to take your hand. Both men spoke over you and in quiet tones as Bones got to work hooking you up to monitors and giving you hypos.
You let out a little moan as you started to stir. Chekov stroked your hair back and held your hand a little tighter. He uttered sweet Russian words in gentle tones, hoping to keep you calm. You cracked your eyes open, wincing at the bright light. You were welcomed by the smiling features of Chekov as he gazed reassuringly down at you. You gave him a weak smile soon followed by a grimace.
"You found me. I knew you would," you whispered as you turned your face to him, reaching your free hand up to cup his cheek, but you dropped it on your chest, fatigue suddenly sapping your energy. "Thank you," you whispered before closing your eyes, "I am going to rest now."
Chekov nodded. "Rest all you need. I'm not going anywhere." He smiled sweetly as he continued to stroke your hair. He looked up at Bones, worry etched on his face. "Is she going to be alright? What's wrong with her?"
Doctor McCoy ran a hand through his hair, sitting down across from the young Russian as he stared at his younger sister. "She will be alright after a few hours of rest. She had a Fabonan cold, one of the worst I have seen. It's a good thing you found her when you did." Bones glanced at Chekov. "Thank you."
Chekov nodded to him, grateful that he found her too. Both men sat in silence as they watched you rest and your vitals slowly go back to normal. Bones sat there as long as he could until he was called for more work, but Chekov stayed put. He wanted to be there when you woke up. He just didn't expect it to take you so long.
He looked at you as his heart started to calm down. You really had him worried. Finding you like he did almost brought tears to his eyes and seeing you like this now broke his heart. Chekov grabbed you an extra blanket and made sure you were comfortable. As he settled down next to you, loving how peaceful you looked. He promised himself that as soon as you woke up, he wasn't going to leave some things unsaid.

You took a deep breath as you opened your eyes, stretching your sore limbs. But you found it hard to move. You looked down and smiled wide at what you saw.
Pavel was curled up next to you, his head resting on your shoulder, one of his arms wrapped loosely around your middle. You reached up and stroked his hair, gently waking him up.
Chekov sleepily raised his head but shot up, fully awake. "Oh yamo! You're awake!"
You smiled wide at him, nodding. You opened your mouth to say something but you were stopped by his lips pressed to yours. You were surprised but not disappointed. The both of you gently pulled the other closer, enjoying the feeling of being in each other's arms. Chekov pulled away just enough to look into your eyes, his fingers tracing your jaw.
"How are you feeling, my dove?" He whispered to you before kissing your cheek.
A blush started on your cheeks and reached your toes at the endearment. "I am feeling much better, thanks to you." You smiled, reaching up to move some hair out of his face.
"I wish I was there so you weren't in so much pain."
"Don't. It's ok." You kissed his nose. "I'm sorry I blew you off."
Now it was his turn to kiss your nose. "I have a feeling we would have ended up here anyways."
"Yeah, I guess you are right." You shrugged.
"But do you think you could meet me for dinner, when you're feeling better."
As if it knew what was going on, your stomach growled. "Maybe can I take you up on that offer now?"
Chekov laughed, kissing your forehead as he stood. "I'm a bit hungry myself." He turned to get something for the both of you but he stopped and turned back to you. "But I can still see you for dinner when you get better?" He walked back to you, standing next to your bed.
You looked up at him, a bit confused. "Sure I guess."
But Chekov wasn't done. He sat down and took your hand, the food currently forgotten. "But I don't want just dinner with you. I want every dinner with you, and lunch, and maybe even breakfast."
Your smile grew with each word he uttered. You knew where this was going. "And..." You couldn't keep the excitement out of your voice.
Pavel scratched the back of his neck, looking away nervously. But he took a deep breath, leaned in on the bed on his elbows, looking at you intently. "Be mine? Be my girlfriend so I can take care of you from now on? Be my girlfriend so I can show you how much you mean to me." His voice lowered as he inched closer. "Be mine, my dove."
You couldn't help yourself. You grabbed him and closed the gap, pressing your lips to his hungrily. After a moment you pulled away and looked at him lovingly. "Of course, my knight in shining armor."
Pavel let out an excited shout causing you to laugh hard. When you both calmed down he kissed your nose and held you close, whispering sweet nothings before both of your stomachs growled.
