An awesome request by an awesome friend of mine who refuses to believe she is Disney's Pocahontas in real life. Natural beauty and all. stargirlhorse , you the man. Or in this case, woman ;)

"Karley, I'm not exactly sure he would be ok with me setting him up with dates. Especially with my friends." You look sideways at your friend, worried she would go off on you like she had all the other times you denied her a date with your infamous brother.

Karley rolled her eyes and crossed her arms with a 'humph'. You have known each other since you were teenagers and even joined the Starfleet Academy together. But as of late, she has been boy crazy and incessantly jealous of you and your new boyfriend. Not like it was a surprise when you and Doctor McCoy started going steady, just now your friend thinks she needs one too. And she just so happens to set her sights on your brother, the Captain of the Enterprise. Go big or go home, right?

The two of you walked into the cafeteria, grabbing some food and sitting where the two of you usually sit. Karley was still acting like a three year old throwing glares and pouting. You took a deep breath and looked at her.

"Look, you are my best friend and I would do anything for you, but you are acting ridiculous! He is my brother and the captain of this ship, no less. So excuse me for being a little cautious when it comes to his romantic life." You turned to your food, stabbing it with a bit of frustration.

"Yeah, well, last time I checked, Jim was able to make his own decisions." And with that, she got up and stormed out.

You shook your head slightly, causing a couple of loose hairs to fall in your face. "Yeah, well, last time I checked he has sent several girls away and never dates a girl more than once." You growl under your breath. "I'm looking out for the both of you, honestly."

You went back to your food, not really caring about anything more than quieting your rumbling belly. A shadow and sudden movement behind you caused you to turn around quickly, brandishing your fork like a spear.

"Whoa there, tiger! We come in peace."

Your brother and boyfriend hold their hands up in surrender, slowly going to sit down on either side of you. You turn back to your food, missing the worried looked the two boys exchanged.

Bones reached over and took your hand under the table as he took your other hand holding your fork that was accosting your poor noodles. "Hey, ho, what is going on?" He moved so he was facing you, rubbing his thumbs over your hands. "Don't tell me it was that Karley girl again."

You look at Bones and about start cracking up at his feigned look of horror. He smiles and kisses your forehead lightly. You take a deep breath and lean into him. "Yes, I suppose so. I don't know. She asked me to hook her up with you, again." You look at your brother out of the corner of your eyes, not wanting to break away from your boyfriend's warm embrace.

Jim ran his hand through his hair. "I mean, what can I say? I'm irresistible."

"Jim, I believe the correct word you are looking for is 'irritable'." Bones chuckled in reply as he rubbed your back. You snorted into Bones' chest, trying your hardest not to fall asleep right then and there.

"I just wish she would drop it. I love her but man, she is persistent and quite a toddler when it comes to not getting what she wants." You mumble, messing with a piece of thread that was sticking out from the hem of Bones' shirt. "I just want her to leave it alone and just let it go. She'd get a guy a lot faster if she wasn't so hard pressed about it."

You feel Bones move to look into your face, placing a hand on your cheek. "Do you need me to do anything to her? Crew checkups are coming up soon and I'm sure I can pull something. Treat her for a sudden illness that she MAY contract." The look in his eyes made you laugh. Rolling your eyes you lean up and give him a peck on the lips as you placed a hand on his chest.

Your brother then piped up. "Not only that but I can have her do some not so fun tasks around the ship or with some paperwork. I'm sure that will make her regret wanting to see me. She won't help but associate hard work with me when I'm done with her." He leans in to whisper the last part to you. You crack a smile and flick him on the ear.

"As satisfying as that might be, I don't want to be petty like her. I'm sure she will just need some time to cool down and realize that life doesn't evolve around her." You let out a breath as you reluctantly stood. "Now I need to go check a few things with Scotty before I bring a few new ensigns on board. Care to drop be off?" Bones and Jim then stood, your boyfriend wrapping his arm around your shoulder as the three of you made your way out of the cafeteria. You didn't see the look the two boys shared over your head that spoke volumes.

"Karley Owens." Bones read her name off his medical list as casually as possible.

It had been three weeks since the three of you had that conversation and you have been trying to not let her bother you but man, it was like she was trying to go out of her way to make you feel miserable. Jim and Bones keep hearing from you what she would say and do and now they are ready to set into motion the things they said a few weeks earlier, just without you knowing.

Bones watched as Karley sauntered her way over to him, knowing perfectly well that she was attractive. He had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep himself from scoffing. She smiled sweetly at him and sat provokingly on the bio-bed closest to him. Lately, she has been trying to go through the doctor to get to Jim and they were both about ready to eject her out the ship. Bones quietly chuckled to himself as he watched her look at him with doe eyes as he prepared a load of hypo shots, most of which were just harmless sprays that serve the purpose to give her a slight sting.

"Good morning Doctor. What is on the docket for today." Karley blinked repeatedly. How does she not know how ridiculous she looks?

"Oh, you know, the usual check up stuff. But I fear that there are a few things going around the ship that just so happen to affect your blood type."

A flash of fear flooded her face but was soon pushed away by a dazzling smile. "Oh? Do you happen to have anything that will help me not get it?"

Bones didn't have to worry about keeping his face deadpanned. "I was hoping you would ask." He picked up one of the many vials on the tray in front of him. "It will only sting like the other hypo's but there are just a few extra." He turns around and gets to work injecting her, feeling a bit more victorious with every wince and twitch she would make.

After a good while, she was given the go-ahead to leave. Bones watched as she left the med-bay with haste, rubbing her arms and neck, mumbling something about karma under her breath. After the doors closed behind her and before Bones got to his next patient, he contacted Jim.

"All done on my end. Your turn Captain. Go easy on her, she is still your sister's best friend." Bones smirked then waited to hear from you about the outcome of their hard work.

"Forgive me captain but you would like me to do what?"

"It's not that hard to understand Ensign Owens. I need you to organize all these papers and put them into the PADD system. I heard you were good with computers."

"Yes, that is true, but sir," Karley looked at the room full of boxes of papers and PADDs, her head already hurting from the amount of work she knew she had ahead of her, "I just don't understand the importance of this being done now."

Jim crossed his arms over his chest and looked at her with feigned frustration. "Better done now than never. But then this way I can be sure that it will be done right." He patted her shoulder before turning to leave her to the mess he has only ever dented in the months as the captain. "You got this. Good luck."

Karley stood there looking at all the work she had to do. A groan filled the room as she started on the first box. Before now, had the captain turned to her for help, let alone touched her, she would have swooned on the spot. But after what happened in the Med-bay and now this, she let her head hang. She needs to speak to you asap.

You were sitting down at a table eating your lunch, expecting Bones and Jim to come join you. So when you felt someone take a seat next to you, you let out an impatient breath, without looking over. "Finally, it took you long enough."

"I know and I am so so sorry."

Your eyes widen and you look over. Karley? "Oh, it's you." You put your fork down and looked at her. She looked like a mess.

She leaned forward and took your hands in hers, speaking quickly and with so much sincerity you were sure she was either sick or on something. "I am so sorry for getting onto you for not getting me with your brother, but I see now that you were right. Since we last talked, or not talked in this case, karma has been a real...you know." She let out a breath and a tear fell. "Can you ever forgive me? I promise not to bring him up unless it is relevant. I still want to be friends." She looked so sad and pleading you didn't even think before you answered her.

"Yeah, Karley, we're cool."

And like lightning she stood. "Oh good! I have to go and finish a job your brother gave me, but I promise to start being a better friend." She gives you a quick hug before she darts out of the room.

You watched her go with confusion and awe. "What just happened?" You whispered to yourself.

"That, my dear sister, I believe one would call justice."

You turned and saw your two boys standing with trays of food, smiling down at you. You give them an odd look. Bones shakes his head.

"No, it was more like a miracle."  He sat down next to you, your brother on the other side of you. They pass a look between them. You stop mid-chew and look between them. Taking your fork, you pointed at the both of them, staring them down.

"You guys don't happen to know what that was all about, do you? Not that I'm complaining or anything."

Bones smiles and Jim chuckles. Bones leans over to you and gives you a kiss on the cheek. "Beats me."

You look at him and roll your eyes. You look back and forth between the both of them one more time before you go back to your food. "You guys are lucky I love you so freaking much."

HEY! Ok so, I have a few requests on the table and will be getting to them as soon as I can. That being said, I want to make sure all our guys are getting some love so I'll be sure to get the requests done then do some on the others. If that makes sense AT ALL. Okie dokie.
