Camping can be great. Especially if you had people you loved with you. The main bridge crew of the Enterprise, plus McCoy and Scotty, were on this trip.

You had all beamed down to a class M planet. The environment was very similar to Earth, even the temperature and landscape were correct. The locals had agreed to this, apparently they knew what it was like to have a stressful job and need a vacation.

"So, who knows how to set up a tent?" Kirk said, looking down at the dismantled tents. They weren't even out of the bags yet.

Everyone shrugged, except McCoy. "Seriously? What did you do as kids?" He asked, taking one of the tents out of a bag.

"I spent my time running from bullies and the older kids on my street." Chekov muttered, taking out another tent. He watched what McCoy was doing closely, so he could follow with this tent. Kirk was helping McCoy.

When that tent was finished, everyone knew how to build one. It's amazing what watching could do. You and your boyfriend, Spock, would build the tent he would be staying in. You and Uhura would share a tent, but McCoy was already helping her.

All tents were built and everyone split up to do separate jobs. You and Spock were sent to try and find food. It wasn't difficult, Spocks keen eyes and sense of smell helped.

The two of you managed to find some small rodents, some various grasses, and a bunch of non-poisonous berries. Chekov and Uhura were sent to look for water. You could make soup.

Other than tents, you had some pans and pots. Everyone had a phaser and a communicator for emergencies. You also had a stand to put pots and pans on when they are over the fire.

"Find anything?" Kirk asked, bumping into you and Spock. He had been sent out with Scotty for firewood, but Scotty wasn't here.

"Just some rodents and berries. Some grasses. We could make some soup with the grass and rodents, after we cook the meat of course. All we need to do is find spices around here. And hopefully Chekov and Uhura found water." You ramble.

"You really thought this through." Spock said, looking at some leaves on a plant. "These are mint leaves. They can be used as a spice."

"Grab them Spock." Scotty said, walking up from behind. "Perfect Hair here ditched me. Left me with all of the wood."

"Sorry Scotty, that woods was full of splinters." Kirk defended.

"So I get to carry it? Take the wood now." Scotty mumbled, dumping all the wood into Kirk's arms. Grumbling, Kirk walked back to camp ahead of everyone.

Dinner was....interesting. It wasn't very good, but it was food. Spock ate the whole thing, claiming it tasted like something he would get on Vulcan when he was in trouble. Vulcans could be a little cruel.

That night, everyone was in their tents. A fire was still burning strong in the center of the circle of tents. Uhura was asleep on the other side of the tent.

The sound of a tent opening alerted you. A shadow walked over to your tent and opened it. "Y/N," Spock whispered, gesturing for you to come outside.

You got up, trying to be quiet. Spock grabbed your hand and lead you out into the woods. The two of you were walking for about ten minutes, before Spock stopped. He lead you up to a rock.

It looked like the end of the universe. The two of you were atop a cliff so high, you couldn't even see the bottom. Fog filled the ravine and the bottom, making visibility hard.

You could barely see the other end, except for some trees. Stars shown all around, like you were surrounded. The dark blue sky made the stars even brighter and more vivid.

"Spock, wow." You mutter. "How did you find this?"

"I saw it when we were getting food. I thought you would like it. Do you?" Spock said, sitting on the edge, hanging his feet over. You did the same and say next to him.

"Spock, this is the best thing anyone has ever shown me. I love it!" You say, kissing him.

"I'm glad you do." Spock said, kissing you.

"It's like we are on the edge of the universe. It's gorgeous." You say, looking out over the cliff.

"You are quite gorgeous. A star cannot compare to you. You are better." Spock muttered, kissing you.
