"Hi Spock." You say walking into you and Spock's shared quarters. He was sitting at a desk. You walked over and kissed his cheek. "How was you day?" You ask, sitting down at another chair at the table.

"Alright," Spock said, not looking up from his work. You take his hand.

"Come with me. I need to show you something." You say. He stands up and follows you. You walk through the ship, hands joined, to observation deck 6.

"Here we are." You say walking into the room. As you requested, the room was empty and the shades to space were closed.

"Why are we on the observation deck? Are we watching the star explosion?" Spock questioned. A star explosion was something that was extremely rare, and beautiful. You had requested this room empty months ago. It worked.

"Yes we are." You say sitting down on a couch. He sat next to you, which jut caused you to lean your head on his shoulder. Spock put his hand around your waist and held you close. Today, you had big news to break to him.

"Curtains, open." Spock said. On command, the curtains open revealing a beautiful blue and orange color. The star explosion. Colors swirled over the window.

"Wow," you whispered.

"I agree. It is wonderful, but not as wonderful as you" Spock agreed.

"Awe. Hey, Spock, I asked for this room to be empty a few months ago. At the time, I didn't have anything to tell you. Now I do." You say. "How do you feel about having a baby?"

Spock looked at you. "I would love to have children. Sure, they are loud, wet, snotty, hard to take care of, boring..."

"Spock," you cut off. "Do you want kids?"

"Yes I would like kids. Despite all the downsides." Spock said holding you closer. "Your expecting aren't you." You nod, your head still on his chest.

"I'm very... happy.... And looking forward to starting a family." He said, his head on yours.

"Great!" You exclaimed. You were looking forward to having a new person you love.
