"Happy Birthday beautiful.." Leonard McCoy whispered, kissing your lips carefully to wake you.

"Mhm, Leonard..." You mutter, rolling over away from him. You didn't like people waking you up, even in that sweet of a way.

"What, no kiss back?" Leonard asked, a smirk on his face. You sighed and rolled over to face him.

"I'm just a year older. And you woke me up. Early." You say, a grumpy expression in your face.

"A year older and still just as pretty." Leonard insisted, a smile wide on his face. "Maybe even prettier. Now come on, I want to give you a gift."

"I never say no to a gift.." You mumble, sitting up. You wiped the goo from your eyes and yawned. "Can I go to sleep after?"

"Yes you can. This is the first gift I have. I have two, you get the next one tonight. But I think you'll like this one." Leonard rambled, pulling out a big bag. You took out the paper on the top to reveal a pillow.

"Awe Leonard thanks.." You say, starting at the pillow. It was such a simple small thing, but you loved it.

"I know you've been wanting one to hug at night when you or I don't feel up to cuddling, so there you are." Leonard said, hugging you. You kissed his cheek and smiled.

"Thank you, but right now I want to cuddle with you and sleep." You say, leaning all your weight in him so he's lay back down.

You put your head on his chest and smiled as he wrapped his arms around you. "I love you.. Happy birthday." He whispered.

"Thank you. I love you." You whisper back, closing your eyes and falling asleep in his arms.
