Today was your first day at the academy and things were going smoothly, but I mean of course they would if your father was Admiral Pike. And your father he was.

Your teachers instantly smiled at you and would ask stupid questions like... '(Y/N) Pike? Is Admiral Pike your father?'

You wanted to answer by saying 'Duh!' but instead you just nodded and smiled. You were sure that most of the Academy thought you were stuck up and such but you really weren't, you just wanted to be like everybody else.

It didn't help that you were the one if the smartest people in the entire Academy. You had done nothing but study and study and study until you finally had enough knowledge to apply to the Academy. Apparently you had over studied.

It seamed that everything they were teaching you, you already knew. People naturally assumed that it was because Admiral Pike was your father, not like you had studied your butt of or anything.

The only person who was just as smart as you and actually was better then you some things was James Kirk. Stuck up perfect little James Kirk. Or as Scotty would say James Tiberius Perfect Hair.

And that he was. He was in every way perfect but you hated him. With a passion...but at the same time you loved him. I mean perfect hair, beautiful eyes...his smile. Though the other students would never find out that he was also the perfect student.

It seamed a nice enough day outside while you were in the courtyard studying; that is until Jim popped down next to you.

"Hey!" He said look at you.

You rolled your eyes. " Hello James.."

"Oh honestly (y/n), call me Jim." He insisted.

"Well Jim," you said standing up " I'm afraid that I must go."

You gathered up your things and made your way back towards your dorm that you shared with you best friend Susan.

"He likes you ya know." She said after you explained your situation at the courtyard.

"Don't joke when it's not funny." You said.

"I'm not joking." She said a serious tone to her voice.

"Why would James Tiberius Kirk like me?" You asked

"Maybe because you know his full name. I mean come on (Y/N) it's so obvious." She said sighing.

You were about to open your mouth to continue the conversation but at that moment your phone rang. It was your alarm saying you had to go to class.

As soon as you got to class James waved hi to you. You waved back and rolled your eyes. Class dragged on for about an hour and a half but soon it was over and you were left with nothing but tons of homework.

You were gonna make your way back to the courtyard so you could study but Jim stopped you.

"Hey (Y/N)! Wait up!" He shouted.

You stopped walking and turned around. "Ugh...what do you want Jim?"

"Don't get snappy. I just wanna ask you a question." He said.

"Ok ask." You said meeting his eyes.

"I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go to lunch or something with me?" He asked

"N-wait...if I do...will you leave me alone?" You asked

"Only if you want me to." He said his eyes now wandering around the room.

"Deal! But you have to leave me alone!" You said sticking out your hand.

James grabbed it but didn't let go instead he brought it to his side and and started walking holding your hand.

"So where to for lunch my lady?" He asked.

You honestly wanted to eat at this place across town but you didn't want to spend more time with Jim then you had to so you replied with..." Anywhere I honestly don't care."

"Ok then, my house it is." He said.

You looked at him gawking. Did he honestly think that you would go to his house for a lunch date!? His house was the last place you wanted to go.

"Your house?" You asked to clarify that that was what he said.

"Yup. And we're gonna walk there too." He said.

"Fine..." You said. You just had to remember that it'd all be over soon and then he'd leave you alone.

After what seamed like days your 'lunch date' finally ended. The sad thing was the fact that you actually kinda enjoyed yourself. There was so much more to Jim then what meets the eye. He was beyond perfect. (Star Trek Beyond??? Lol)

He had asked you on a date after your short one ended. You had said yes...of course. You just simply couldn't stop thinking about Jim, and tell Susan about the date.

You walked into your dorm room and waved at Susan with a sloppy smile on your face. "Where have you been?!" She asked concern in her voice.

"With James..." You said smiling bigger.

"James? James Kirk?! Jesus girl are you drunk?!" She questioned.

"Maybe! You know I can't stop thinking about him!" You said plopping down on your bed.

"What's gotten into you?! This morning you left hating his guts! What am I missing here?!" She asked concern in her voice. "If he used a date rape drug on you I swear I'll kill him! Just say the word!"

"No! Susan! You don't understand! He's sooooo nice...I know I hated him but that was before I actually knew him. He's actually super sweet!" You said.

"You're being serious?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"Yes. Now listen. How am I gonna tell my dad?"

Susan and you had devised a plan to tell your father that you and James were dating but that didn't stop you both from being nervous. You and Susan both made your way to his office Jim was trailing behind.

When you finally reached his office you told Jim to wait outside. "Stay here, we'll be right back."

You walked up to the receptionist and she nodded. She knew who you were and was smart enough not to question your where abouts. "Admiral Pike? Your daughter is here to see you." She said into her phone.

Seconds after that the doors swung open to reveal your father.

"(Y/N)! What a pleasant surprise!" He said. "Oh and Susan too!" He greeted her.

"Hi dad...." You said smiling.

"Is there something you need help with or is this just a visit?" He asked.

"Well Dad, actually I came to tell you something." You said your smile dropping a bit.

He looked into your eyes for a few moments and then asked you, "What is it, (Y/N)?"

You took a deep breath in. No since in keeping the info from your father...."DaddyKirkandIaredating!" You shouted then closed your eyes not wanting to see his reaction.

After a few moments of silence you finally opened your eyes again. You saw your father staring back at you and his mouth was shut firmly, clearly not responding to what you just said.

"Did you hear me daddy?" You asked

"I believe I did but at the same time I don't believe what I heard." He said calmly and slowly.

You took a deep breath knowing very well that you'd have to repeat yourself. "Dad, James Kirk and I are in a relationship. Please understand...I really like him."

"(Y/N), you are a grown woman and are entitled to your own choices. I know that once you've made up your mind you'll never change it," a smile spread across your face but his face was still stone cold. "But (Y/N) please understand I don't fully support you and James so don't take this to seriously."

You thought about what he had said for a few moments and then looked into his eyes. "Thank you daddy!" You said going up to hug him. Susan was smiling  and holding her hands together.

After a quick embrace you and Susan made your departure and found Jim still waiting in the hallway. At first he looked at you with a face of concern but when you smiled at him he knew things would be aright.

It had been about 3 weeks since you and Jim had started dating and your father still didn't approve. Things were always just a bit tense between the two of them when they were together. Today would be one of those days.

Jim, your father, and you would be working together on one of the new ships. You were taking it out to one of the class M planets named Zënorii where you would gather data and return to the academy by nightfall.

It was a simple enough quest and hopefully everything would go smoothly.

You and Jim boarded the ship hand in hand much to your fathers irritation. When you entered the bridge you father was in the chair and you took your seat as one of the navigators well Jim took a seat in the back as first officer.

Before you knew it you were at Zënorii and it was a beautiful sight. Your father and Jim made there way to the transporter room to be beamed down to the planet. You would stay aboard the ship and monitor there vitals.

Both men had a backpack with needed   supplies and a phaser in case they ran into trouble. You watched as the swirling rings engulfed your father and boyfriend to beam them down.

You personally though you at the boring end of the job. There normally wasn't much to monitor unless they ran into trouble which rarely happened. So all you'd do was sit and wait. All day.

You were on your way back to the bridge from your lunch break when you noticed that there were a lot of people frantically running around. It wasn't odd to see people running on the ship because well things had to be done but this was a awful lot of people running around. What was going on?

Finally you made it to the bride and that when you saw your fathers and Jim's vitals up on the large screen. Your fathers had a very slow heartbeat and Jim's was elevated much to high.

"What's going on?!" You shouted at the person viewing there vitals.

"Ensign Pike! There seams to be an issue with Kirk and Admiral Pike! We can't seam to reach them to find out what's going on!"  They said back to you.

Oh my God. Kirk and your father were in danger and by the look of there vitals it didn't look like your father was gonna make it. You grabbed the communicator out of the hands of the other ensign and shouted into it.

"James!! James!! Please come in! It's (Y/N)!!! We need to know what's going on!! Jim please!" You screamed

There was a bit of static over the line but soon you heard a voice. It was Jim's. "(Y/N)?! It's Jim. We got attacked by some kind of animal! The scanners don't know what it is!! I've taken care of the problem but your father seams to be badly hurt! It appears the creatures bite was poison!" He was breathing heavily.

You wanted to go cry in a corner but you had to stay strong. "Ok Kirk! Let us get a location and we'll beam you up!" You said trying to stay professional.

"Copy that Ensign!" He shouted back.

You quickly made your way down to the transporter room. "Susan!!!" You called for your best friend. She worked in the transporter room. You quickly came hurling into the room. "Susan! I need you to beam up Kirk and my father right now!" You shouted.

She didn't ask any questions just did as she was told. Soon her fingers were flying over the pad in front of her trying to beam up James and your dad.

"Got it!" She shouted and figures started to appear in the middle of the transporter pad.

Soon your father am Jim appeared. "Daddy!" You screamed seeing his state. You ran over to him. His eyes were barely open. "(Y/N)...?" He asked in no more then a whisper. Just as you were about to speak again when medics pulled you off him.

"No!!! No!! Stop!!! Daddy!! Daddy it's gonna be ok!!! Please Daddy!!" You screamed and kicked as they pulled you away. You dropped to the floor in a ball of tears. Soon you felt warm arms around you.

"It's ok. Shhhh I'm here now. It's ok." It was Jim. You turned so you face was in his chest and cried.

3  weeks later

Your father had gotten much better once they got him to the med bay. After they drained him of the poison he started to get much better. As soon as he was able to he announced that if it hadn't been for James he'd be dead.

Needless to say they got along much better now and things couldn't be better. Hopefully they could keep it this was because rumor has it that Jim will propose for your first anniversary.

There would be many more happy years to come.
