You popped another bubble with your bubble gum. There was nothing going on at all in the medbay and it was your shift. You continued to blow bubbles and pop then while Bones walked in.

"Hey Dr. McCoy." you said being formal seeing as he was your boss.

"Hello nurse (y/l/n). Anything new going on?" He asked

"No it's been boring since I got here seeing as half the crew is on a mission." You said. Just then Bones communicator beeped.

"Dr. McCoy we need ya in the transporter room now!" Said Scotty.

"What is it?" McCoy asked

"Just get your bottom down hear. The captains been hurt we need your help." He explained

Bones looked at you. "Come on (y/n) we have work to to." He said heading out if the medbay towards the transporter room. You ran out quickly behind him.

As you and Bones entered the transporter room you saw a really bloody Kirk. You cringed. You and Kirk had had a thing but it ended when you joined Star Fleet. You still loved him though and practically burst into tears at the sight of him.

"Come on (y/n). Keep it together dammit we have lives to save!" Dr. McCoy barked.

You ran over to Kirk and helped lift him onto a stretcher. His hair was in clumps of dried blood and it was all over his golden uniform.

"Ohhhh Kirk stay with me." you whispered into his ear as you reran through the hallway towards the medbay.

As you entered the medbay about 7 other nurses came over to help and you were pushed aside. Bones walked over to you getting on his PPE (personal protection equipment) "(y/n) it might be best for you to stand aside because of your attachment to the patient." He said

"Yes sir I understand." you said standing aside.

About 47 mins went by until you could go and sit with Kirk. You walked over to his bed and held his hand.

"Kirk please wake up. I know that we haven't talk much since we broke up but......I still love you. It look this dumb accident for me to realize. I love you James T Kirk!" You said lowering your head into his lap crying your heart out.

You felt the hand you were holding moving an you looked up. "Hey it's ok (y/n). It's ok." Said a voice. Kirk. You looked up. "OMG Kirk your ok!!" You practically screamed.

He started to laugh then grabbed his chest. "Ugh," he said "chest pains." You looked at him and smiled. "I love you" you said. He smiled back "I love you too."
