You had never seen such a huge bouquet of flowers before in your entire life. You picked the note from the bunch of flowers and read it.

You nearly threw up in your mouth. Kevin was a little guy on the ship who everyone just tried to avoid. He had limbs that were just the wrong proportions for his body, he had a limp and smelled horribly like BO. And on top of all that, he had fallen so many times on the Enterprise that his nose was slightly tilted to the left....and he never showered.

Let's just say you had a book of complaints. And it wasn't just you, there might as well have been a 'Kevin Complaint Box' posted outside the bridge. It didn't matter anyway, there was nobody on the ship you found all that appealing.

You grabbed the vase of flowers and walked down to Uhuras quarters. As soon as you put your hand up to knock the doors slid open. "I already know." She said taking the flowers from you and letting you in.

"How'd you find out?" You asked.

She started to laugh."Have you seen Kevin's Snapchat?"

"Um no why? What did it say?" You asked getting worried.

Uhura laughed even harder an pulled out her PADD. As soon as she tapped on Kevin's story you were horrified. The first story was a picture of the flowers saying "Got these for my girl." And the next was a picture of you smiling at lunch and it said "She loved them ❤️"

You wanted to cry. What if people thought you were dating Kevin!!! This was horrible!!!

"Great. Now your gonna refuse to go to dinner with the girls and I tonight won't you." Said Uhura looking at your panicked facial expressions.

"I just don't want people to think I'm dating him...." You said sneaking a look at her.

"(Y/N)!!! Everyone knows how much you hate him! You can't just let him control your social life!" Uhura cried.

You sighed. "I guess it wouldn't hurt to go out..."

You took one last look in the mirror and made you way out the door. You had decided to put on a tight black dress with a pair of wedges that were about 4 inches tall. It was gonna be a girls night and nothing could ruin it.

You made your way to the bar and grabbed Uhura and your mates in the corridor. It was time to make an entrance. With Uhura at your side you headed into the bar.

The doors slid open and the room came to life. People were walking back and forth carrying drinks and laughing  with there friends.  You made your way to a booth in the back and ordered your first round of drinks.

"Oh my God!" Said Uhura after just a few shots.

"What?!" You cried trying to find what she was looking at.

"There's Kevin...." She whispered.

Oh my gosh. This was the last thing you needed right now! You could already see people moving away from him because of the smell. And he was walking right towards your table!

You quickly ducked under the table just as he showed up.

"Hey Uhura and friends." You heard him speak. "Have you seen (Y/N)? I thought she was here with you."

"Um..." Uhura bit her lip. "She just dashed over there to....see her boyfriend."

WHAAAAT!!!!! You started to panick. How could she say that?! You didn't have a boyfriend! You looked around from under the table; you would have to move fast. Quickly you spotted a man over at the bar...alone. It was time to make a dash for it.

You sprinted out from under the table as if your were coming out of a block for your 100m race. Unfortunately your leg hit Kevin's on the way to the bar and he was knocked to the ground. You barely looked back as you hit the man at the bar. Your hands falling on his shoulders.  

You looked over to see Uhura sticking out her leg as if she had tripped Kevin. Uhura helped him up and he cast a glance your way.

"I know this is weird and fast but I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend." You said out of breath to the man you had landed on.

He looked at you startled. He wore a blue uniform and his dark hair was all tousled about. Probably your fault. "Umm...ok" he said slowly.

You quickly smashed your lips on to his. At first it was awkward and tense but soon you both loosened up. You glanced a look towards Kevin. He was standing there looking quite taken aback. Within seconds Kevin was standing in front of you but luckily your mystery man had wrapped his hand around your wast.

"Um hey Kevin...." You started.

"Don't give me that (Y/N)! We had something real until you broke it!" He cried.

You were about to protest but Kevin was already on his way out of the bar.

"Thanks for the flowers!" You called after him just to push your luck.

You looked towards the man who had his arm around your waist. "I'm (Y/N)." You said.

"Leonard." He stated looking amazed. "I don't know what that was all about darlin' but...wow."

"Would you like to maybe come and sit with my friends and I, Leonard?" You asked pointing towards Uhura who waved.

Leo (as you would start to call him) smiled, but before he could respond you grabbed his hand...and pulled him into your life.

This was the story of how you and your husband met.
