I let out a sigh as I follow behind Chekov and Jim. We walked through a small tunnel and I let out a scream as we got trapped in something sticky. I soon heard voices and looked to see Scotty with a woman. I felt a frown appear on my face as he introduced us to him.

"That is Captain Kirk, that is Chekov and the beauty beside him, that lass is my best friend, (Y/n)." Scotty said with a smile.

The woman nodded her head and we were cut down. I dusted myself off and then glared at Scotty. He went to hug me but I pushed past him and followed the woman into the cave.

"Why are you mad at Scotty?" Jim asked with a frown.

"That beauty is my best friend, he says. Maybe she doesn't want to be your friend you Scottish Bastard." I snapped.

"You like Scotty."

"Yes I like him! I have since we met but he of course doesn't see it!"

Jim let out a laugh and shook his head. I sent him a glare and let out a sigh as I left to help Bones with Spock. It wasn't long before we made it off the planet and decided to celebrate our victory. I saw Scotty talking to Jaylah and I turned and walked towards Sulu. I plopped down beside him in the couch and grabbed a whisky.

"You thinking of getting wasted?" He asked calmly.

I nodded my head and quickly chugged my drink. Sulu shook his head and handed me another one.

"Scotty?" He asked calmly.

I nodded my head once more and chugged down my drink.

"Okay that's enough, I know how you act when drunk." He said calmly.

"Fuck you." I growled out.

I saw Jaylah stand up and watched as she walked up to me. I frowned as I grabbed another drink and opened it.

"(Y/n) right?" She asked as she stopped in front of me.

"Yes, what do you need?" I asked calmly.

"Could you help me with something?"

"Depends on what it is." I said as I crossed my legs.

"I want to... ask someone out... but I don't know how."

I felt my heart stop and I let out a sigh as I downed my drink.

"Just go for it, tell him how you feel and then ask them out to dinner or to just go on a walk."

"Thank you." She said as she turned and walked towards Scotty.

I felt my heart shatter as I watched her walk towards him. My eyes soon went wide as I saw her turn and walk to Chekov. She talked to him and then I saw a smile on his face. He nodded his head and then turned and left. Jaylah turned to look at me and sent me a smile and thumbs up.

"She was talking about Chekov." I said as I watched her follow him.

"Who would of guested?"

"Fuck you Sulu."

"That's my husband's job." He said with a smirk.

I flipped him off and then stood up. I felt my legs start to shake and I nearly fell if it wasn't for two strong arms wrapping around my waist.

"You alrigh Lass?" A voice asked.

I turned my head to see Scotty, who sent me a smile. I glared at him and went to move away but fell forward into his chest.

"She has one to many whiskeys. Care to take her home?" Sulu asked with a smile.

"Way ahead of you."

Scotty led me back to the ship and I let out a sigh as I leaned against him. I felt tears stream down my face as I snuggled into his shoulder.

"Why can't you love me?" I whispered.

I felt Scotty's arms hold me tighter as he helped me climb onto the ship. He took me to my room and set me on the bed.

"Let's get you into something warmer." He said softly.

After I changed I laid back down and watched him stand up.

"Stay." I said as I grabbed his arm.

"Lass... I'm sure you will sleep better without me."

"Please."

He let out a sigh and laid beside me on the bed. I snuggled into his chest and he let out a sigh.

"I love you, Scotty." I whispered.

I felt him freeze up as I quickly fell asleep.

Morning

When I woke up I saw I was alone in bed. I let out a sigh as I put my feet over the side of my bed and walked into my bathroom. I let out a squeak as I quickly turned and looked away.

"Sorry! I didn't know you where in the shower!" I yelped out.

"It's fine lass, I thought you were asleep." Scotty said as he climbed out and wrapped a towel around him.

"Just woke up.... um... thank you for sleeping with me- not like that I mean- you know what I mean." I said as a blush fought it's way to my cheeks.

He let out a laugh and I covered my face.

"Um... I'll let you get dressed." I said as I left the bathroom.

He soon came out fully dressed and sent me a smile.

"So, why did you get so drunk last night?" He asked as he plopped down beside me.

"Um... not important."

"Come on I'm your best friend, you can tell me anything."

"Yea well I wish you weren't my best friend." I thought angrily.

I saw his eyes go wide and I felt my heart stop as I realized I had said it out loud. He cleared his throat and stood up.

"I'll be goin then." He said softly.

"Damn it! I didn't mean it like that... I... you see I.."

He kept walking and I felt tears stream down my face.

"I love you!"

I quickly covered my mouth and he turned to look at me shocked.

"I... I'm in love with you." I said softly.

I looked away and prepared for rejection but instead my face was turned and I looked up to see him smiling at me.

"You have no idea how long I've waited to hear those words." He said as he leaned down and kissed me.

Bonus

I smiled as I snuggled into Scotty's side and watched him type away on his PAD.

"So why were you so mad at me?" He asked not looking at me.

"I was jealous of your relationship with Jaylah." I said softly.

"Lass, you know she is Chekov's age right? I mean lass I'm old enough to be her father." He said with a laugh.

I shook my head and hid it in his chest. I felt him kiss my forehead and I smiled softly.
