"Commander (L/n), status report?" Christopher asked calmly.

"Everything is clear Christopher." I said without looking up.

I felt my heart stop as reality hit me. My eyes went wide and I cleared my throat.

"I mean Captain... everything is clear Captain." I said softly.

I could feel the eyes on me and I prayed for a quick death. I soon left for my break and walked towards the cafeteria.

"Hello (F/n)." My best friend said playfully.

"I'll kill you." I growled out.

"I thought you were done with Pike?" She asked softly.

"It's a habit! I am so use to calling him by his first name... well I was use to it." I said as I let out a sigh.

"How long has it been since the break up?"

"Two months, twenty days, eight hours, and nine minutes." I said softly.

"You sounds like Spock." She said with a laugh.

"You would know."

She sent me a look and I smiled as I walked away. For the next week I faked sick so I wouldn't have to face Pike, but I should of known he would of came to check on me.

I heard a knock on my door and thinking it was my friend I said come in.

"Captain?" I asked shocked.

"I came to check up on you. You are looking like you feel better." He said softly.

"Yes... I um... I should be returning soon." I said as I looked at my hands.

"I heard you didn't go to sickbay, just went straight to your quarters and called in sick." He said softly.

"Well I didn't want to bug the doctor."

"Or you didn't want him to catch your lie." He said with a frown.

"I... I'm not lying."

"You always were a horrible Lier."

"And you always were a heartbreaker." I growled as I looked away from him.

"(Y/n)-"

"It's Commander (L/n)... you lost all rights to call me (Y/n), when you broke up with me over a email... who does that! I mean really did you not have the nerve to break my heart face to face! Not to mention you didn't even give me a reason!"

"I couldn't break up to you face to face because I never wanted to break up." He said as he let out a sigh.

"Then why did you? You were the one who said it was over... not me. I was ready to give my job up to be with you... I was ready to give up everything I worked for because I love you.... but you just... you left."

"I never told you what happened when I was on USS Discovery. I... I saw a glimpse of my future and... and I didn't want you to have to go through that... I couldn't let you go through that. No matter how much I love you... I just couldn't let you see me like that." He said softly.

"Christopher Pike... I don't give a damn about what you saw in the future. I don't care if yo I saw yourself grey and old.... don't care if you couldn't walk or talk... all I care about is being with you... waking up and knowing that I have you." I said softly.

I stood up and walked up to him and he let out a sigh.

"You are the most stubbornest women alive and I love you." He said as he leaned down and kissed me.

I smiled into the kiss and pulled him closer to me.

"I love you Christopher." I whispered against his lips.

"You know you are stuck with me now, right?" He asked softly.

"Wouldn't have it any other way." I said as I pulled him back into another kiss.

He let out a sigh as he picked me up and carried me to my bed.
