"(Y/n), where are we going?" Nyota asked with a frown.

"Ummm... quick stop at medical, then to the cafeteria." I said with a smile.

I heard her let out a sigh as I dragged her behind me.

"Why can't you just ask him out like a normal person?"

"What are you talking about? I have to fix the security camera in McCoy's office. Anyways, if he doesn't want to be annoyed, he shouldn't be so frown y'all the time."

I smiled as she shook her head and followed behind me.

"Besides, everyone else enjoys it; it's good for morale." I said as we made it to the sickbay.

"You have fun, I'll see you at the cafeteria if McCoy doesn't kill you." She said as she turned and walked away.

I smiled as I shook my head and walked into his office.

"Dang it, He isn't here for me to mess with." I said as I let out a sigh.

I climbed onto the desk and opened up the vent leading to the camera cords. After climbing in I looked for the security camera cords and started to work.

"There. Now time to get out." I said a so finished up.

I heard the door to his office open and I smiled as I looked through the vent to see Bones sit down.

"Come on Bones it's hilarious." Jim said as he let out a laugh.

"No it isn't. It is annoying. I swear she is nothing but a child." Bones snapped.

"She likes you."

"Well I don't like her, I-."

Bones was cut off by the door opening, I felt my heart stop and I held my breath. I soon saw Uhura walk in and I leaned back against the wall.

"(Y/n), what is taking you- oh you guys aren't her." She said softly.

"Why would we be?" Bones asked calmly.

"She came to fix your camera's, I was waiting for her in the cafeteria, and I decided to come check on her." She said softly.

I saw Bones' eyes go wide and I climbed out of the vents and off the desk.

"Sorry it took me so long, I'm finished. Let's go eat." I said as I grabbed her arm and dragged her out of the room.

"What's wrong? You didn't pull a joke or anything on McCoy." She said as we walked down the hallway.

"He can't like anyone who acts like a child." I said as I tried to stop myself from crying.

She quickly pulled me into a empty room and I let out a sob. She pulled me into a hug as I cried into her shoulder.

"How could I be so stupid?"

"It's okay, you don't need to worry about him, it will be fine. I promise." Nyota said softly.

I shook my head and pushed her away.

"I'm going to my room.... eat without me." I said as I walked away.

The next day I called in sick and stayed in bed. Nyota tried to visit, but I didn't want to see anyone.

"Child.... I'll show him child." I said as I whipped my eyes.

For the next week I stayed away from sickbay and my friends. I quiet going to the cafeteria and ate little protein bars that Chapel gave me.

"Okay, talk to me girl.... what's going on?" Nyota asked softly.

"I'm busy. I need to get these panels checked-"

"(Y/n)! What is going on? You stopped talking to everyone and I haven't heard you laugh in over a week? Talk to me."

"I'm fine, I just.... I decided to quiet being a child." I said as I got back to work.

I heard her stomp away and I let out a sigh as I got back to work. I went to cut a wire and felt electricity course through me. I let out a scream and quickly let go of the wire and climbed out of the panel and held my hand.

"What happen?" Scotty yelled as he ran up to me.

I hid my hand and looked up at him.

"Small shock, scared me... I'm fine." I said with a forced smile.

"Lass are you-"

"I'm fine, I'm almost finished."

"I'll finish up go to sickbay." He ordered.

"Sure." I said as I stood up.

I walked out fo the room and looked down at my hand. My hand was scared over and felt like it was on fire. I walked to my room and looked through my med kit for anything to help take away the pain. I heard a knock on the door and frowned.

"Who is it?"

"Kirk. Uhura asked me to come see you, everything alright?"

"Never been better."

"I know you heard mine and Bones conversation.... you should really clear things up with him."

"I'm fine!" I snapped as I slammed my hand on the table.

I let out a yelp and the door quickly opened and Kirk walked in. I cradled my hand and he ran to my side and took it.

"You aren't fine! Sickbay! Now!" He ordered.

He dragged me to sickbay and had Chapel get Bones.

"What seems to be the problem?"

Kirk sent me a look and I looked at the ground. I heard the door open and saw Scotty walk in.

"Hey I came to see how she was. Shocked herself on a wire, surprised it didn't leave a scar, I looked at the wire and it was a bad one." Scotty said calmly.

"I think it did leave a scar." Jim said angrily.

"Let me see." Bones said sternly.

I moved my hand away and he let out a sigh.

"You two out, I'll handle this." Bones said calmly.

Jim nodded his head and walked out fo the room with Scotty. I looked at the ground and heard a chair move.

"I'm sorry for what I said.... when I said it I was just trying to prove Jim wrong." He said softly.

I kept looking at the ground and he let out a sigh.

"Please let me help you... you are injured and I would never forgive myself if anything happened to you because of me."

I moved my hand towards him and he gently grabbed it.

"Damn it (Y/n), this is bad." He said as he stood up.

He moved around the room and soon came back with a hypo and cream.

"This will sting." He said softly.

I nodded my head and he gently placed it on my hand. I let out a hiss and he apologized before continuing. After he was finished he wrapped it.

"You will have to stay here over night so I can make sure you are fine." He said softly.

I nodded my head and he let out a sigh as he moved my face to look at him.

"You are one of the most childish women alive, and that's why I love you." He said softly.

I looked at him shocked and he sent me a smile before leaning forward and press his lips against mine. I closed my eyes and he pulled me against him. I smiled into the kiss and ran my food hand through his hair and pulled him closer.

"Never change." He said softly.

Timeskip

I smiled as I hid in the vent and waited for Bones to come in. He plopped down in his chair and I moved around.

"Woooo I'm a ghooooooooost." I said with a smirk.

"God help me." Bones whispered as he shook his head.

I climbed out and sent him a smile. He quickly stood up and grabbed me pulling me into his lap as he plopped down in his chair. I let out a laugh and smiled as I leaned down and kissed him.
