Chapter 8 Ending

I had been a couple of weeks since I had started my relationship with Spock and I had been feeling strange. Every morning around the same time I would be forced to run to the bathroom because I would be feeling sick to my stomach. After the third week I finally decided to go to the med bay so Bones could check on me.

"Alright, so is morning sickness the only thing wrong?" He asked as he scanned me.

"No.... I... I also missed my last cycle." I said with a blush.

"You don't think..."

I sent him a look and he walked away to the results. Half a hour later he returned and sent me a small smile.

"Congrats.... your pregnant." He said as he put the notepad away.

"Spock is going to kill me." I said as I shook my head.

"I'm sure he won't. He loves you... I can see it in his eyes." Bones said with a smile.

I nodded my head and let out a sigh as I got ready to leave and tell Spock. When I made it to the bridge I handed my pad to Kirk and then bit my lip.

"Could I borrow First Officer Spock? It's important." I said softly.

"Of course, Spock your lover needs to talk to you." Kirk said with a smile.

Spock stood up and I sent him a smile as I asked him if we could go somewhere private. We made it into the elevator and he stopped it before turning to look at me.

"I.... I have to talk to you about something." I said softly.

"As do I." He said softly.

"You first." I said as I bit my lip.

"Our relationship... is not appropriate. It is breaking many rules... I believe we should terminate it." He said calmly.

"I... I agree. That was what I was going to talk to you about... I'm glad we are on the same page." I said as I tried to hold back tears.

"Good, I will return to work." He said as he walked out of the elevator.

I held my breath as I walked to sick bay and saw Bones filing papers.

"How did it go?" He asked as he looked up at me.

"We broke up.... our relationship is against protocol... I didn't even tell him about the baby." I said through tears.

"That green hobgoblin." He growled as he pulled me into a hug.

"I can't stay... I can't stay on this ship... I have to leave." I whispered.

"I'll file paperwork saying that you are leaving because of health problems... I won't tell Jim the real reason." He said softly.

"Thank you." I said as I pulled away.

He sent me a nod of his head and smiled as he rubbed my back.

"We will get through this darlin." He said softly.

A week later I was back on earth trying to get my life together. Bones allowed me to move into his old house and he decided to take a year leave of absence so he could help me deliver my child. When the times finally came for my child to be born I had a healthy baby girl.

"What are you going to name her?" Bones asked as I held her in my arms.

"Crystal T'Shel Wakeman... so she can have a human name and a Vulcan name..." I said with a smile.

"Beautiful name for a beautiful little girl." He said with a smile.

Soon the years flew by and I watched my daughter grow up. It wouldn't be long before she would become close friends with Bones' daughter who was about two years older than her. They would end up getting into all sorts of trouble and I would have to bail them out. After Bones' ex wife passed away I decided to help him, by watching Joanna while he was in space.

There will be a part two to this. It will talk about Crystal's life and the struggles she has to deal with. It will be in Crystal's POV. It will be called Lt. Wakeman Jr. (book 2).
