"Why do the teachers put so much work on us?" (Y/n) whined, bashing her head against the desk.

"Someone has to do it." Teru said, smiling at the girl's behavior.

"Well why don't they do it? They're the adults." She retorted, huffing. She glanced out the window, hoping to see her two friends but no such luck. "I just wanna go home!"

"What do you even do your house?" Akane asked, sorting through papers. "Must be pretty interesting if you talk about it all the time."

"Nah, I'd just rather be there than here doing teacher's work." She groaned, grabbing her pen and filling out her part of the work. "All I do is look out of my window, the stars shine very bright where I live."

"Stars huh?" Teru asked, raising a brow. "You seem to like them, what with your hair clip and all."

"They're pretty, what can I say?" She grabbed another paper from the ever growing pile. "Plus they bring back good memories of long ago."

"You mean your childhood?" Akane asked.

"Yeah..." She said, her mind drifting to the boy spirit. She didn't notice the two males glance at her features softening into a small smile. In the corner of her eye, she could see movement on the rooftop. She recognize it as two people fighting, worried she suddenly stood up.

"I just remembered! I actually have to do something for my family! I'll do extra work tomorrow!" She quickly said, rushing out of the room.

"(Y/n)!!" Akane yelled. The boy then sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, pushing his glasses up. "That girl..."

Teru didn't respond, looking at the open door with narrowed eyes.

"Amane I swear to Kami-" The spirit ran up the stairs, already in her true form, and busted through the door. She came in time to see the spirit fall on his side. "Shit!"

"Ha! You touched it with your bare hand! How dense can you be?" The attacker yelled, reading his weapon for the final blow. "It's over!"

"Oh no it ain't!"

"Stop!"

Both females rushed in front of the fallen spirit, (Y/n) in positions to attack with Nene behind her.

"(Y/n)-chan? When you get here?"

"Saw them fight from the student council's room." She stated, glaring at her opponent. But soon she realized who was in front of her. "...Kou?"

"(Y/n)-senpai?" Kou asked, eyes wide and face red. "What are you doing? Why is your uniform different?"

"..." She didn't respond, looking at the staff the boy held. She sighed, muttering, "well looks like my secret is out."

"You're a supernatural?"

"Yes I am." She answered. "I'm the The Star Studded Girl, and this roof is my domain. I suggest you leave, I don't want to hurt you."

Kou gripped his staff tighter, eyes glaring at the female. "Like hell that'll stop me! Just means one more to exorcise!"

He raised his staff, preparing to attack. The female spirit didn't move, her eyes still narrowed and analyzing the boy. As the staff almost hit the girl, Nene pushed the spirit behind her.

"Nene?!"

"Stop!"

Kou eyes widened, stopping his attack midway and stumbled back. "Hey! Watch out you idiot! Don't just jump in front of-"

He stopped, seeing the face of Nene frowning. "M-me...um...wh-who are you?"

"I'm Yashiro Nene, first year in the high school division! I'm Hanako-kun's assistant and these two's friend!" She said. "And if you hurt them, I'll get very mad!"

"Nene..." (Y/n) mumbled, finding the girl very cute in this moment.

"B-but they're supernaturals, I have to exorcise them for the sake of the school..." Kou softly said.

"They're not bad! They even helped me!"

"Are you nut- er... you got it wrong!" Kous shouted, grabbing the girl's shoulders. "I didn't know about (Y/n)-senpai but that Hanako, he's not just any spirit!"

"It took my grandmother all her energy to seal him away, he's diabolical!" Kou explained. "He even uses a carving knife! That's proof enough that he used that to kill someone when he was alive!"

"No...that's not true..." Nene said in disbelief.

"And how do you know there wasn't a reason for it?" (Y/n) said, looking at the ground in disgust. "How do you know he didn't kill in self defense?! Do you even know the whole situation?!"

Kou looked at her in surprise. "You-"

"I may be a spirit too, but that doesn't mean I'm evil! Hell my rumor is only used for good! I practically should be harmless!" She then pointed at the dumbfounded male. "It's you exorcists that think all spirits are bad because they aren't human anymore! Or only think about the action and not the reason! Would you rather people suffer than fight back-?!"

"That's enough (Y/n)." A voice said, wrapping their arm around her waist. She looked to see it was Hanako, pointing a knife over Nene's shoulder at Kou's neck. "Looks like the secret is out though, I was hoping to keep it hidden a little longer."

The two humans backed away in fear. Hanako let the female go and gestures Haku-joudai to come closer. "You're right, I did kill someone."

"But Kami-sama told me that if I fulfill my duty, my guilt and sins will be erased." He stated, now acquiring a cape that flowed in the breeze. "So I can't let you exorcise me yet, boy. Or (Y/n) for that matter, I won't let you hurt her."

Then Hanako floated up, initiating the fight to commence. Kou swung his staff around, destroying parts of the roof whenever the staff hit it. "Stop moving!"

"Doesn't that hurt your hand?" The spirit asked, suddenly close to the male. Kou jumped in surprise, unleashing powerful lightning to hit the spirit.

"Ha! You never learn!" The boy yelled. "This time, there won't be anything left of you!!"

"Hanako!" (Y/n) screamed, ready to join in the fight. But soon a hand pulled her back away from the fight. "Nene?"

"Look." The two looked on to see Hanako standing there unfazed. Kou looked shocked, immediately dodging Hanako swinging his blade rapidly.

"I really like this staff yours, boy. If you let me have it I'll let you go." Hanako teased.

"Don't you dare look down on me!!" Kou yelled angrily. "I ain't gonna run!!"

"Oh? Well okay!" Hanako then let go of the staff, causing Kou to fall on his butt. Hanako straddled him and raised his knife, smiling menacingly. Kou closed his eyes in fear, ready to feel pain. Instead, Hanako flicked the boy's forehead. "I win!"

"Wha-"

"Now I'll just seal this so it doesn't hurt anybody." Hanako said, placing a paper seal on the staff.

"Hey! What did you do to my family heirloom?!" The boy yelled, moving his finger to rip the seal off. "It won't come off!"

"Take it off!"

"Don't wanna!"

"Well it's a good thing he did." (Y/n) stated, grabbing the boy's hand. "You're injured, the staff's been zapping you as well when you use it huh?"

"I-"

"Kou, using powers you can't control will only lead you to ruin."

"No one asked you!" Kou yelled, pulling his hand away from the girl. "I don't care what happens to me...as long as I can protect everyone!"

"My, how passionate." Hanako cheered. Walking forward to the boy. "There's no need to rush now, you'll be an excellent exorcist one day."

Kou looked at the spirit in shock. "So good in fact, that you'll have no problem exercising a little spirit like me in no time!"

"I look forward to it."

"What? You do know that we're talking me exercising you right?" Kou asked in disbelief. "So, why-?"

"That said!" Hanako smiled. "You're a pushover right now!"

Hanako then punched the boy with lots of forced, hitting him square in the stomach.

"Hanako, that was low." (Y/n) sighed, kneeling to check the boy.

"Is he okay?"

"He'll wake up any minute, he's tough." (Y/n) answered. "Still, you didn't have to hit him that hard."

"I had to do it, he wasn't going to give up so easily." Hanako replied.

"Shouldn't we hide the staff?" Nene asked, grabbing the object in question. "He might come back..."

"Aww Nene? Are you worried?" (Y/n) asked, smirking. Nene blushed when the girl brought her into her arms. "That's so adorable!"

"Of course I'm worried! You're my friends!" The red girl squeaked.

"So you can get along with even murderers huh, Yashiro?" Hanako asked, pulling a masked smile at the girl.

"That's..."

"Just kidding!" The boy chuckled, walking back inside.

"You can leave Nene, I'll watch over him." (Y/n) said, pushing the girl after the boy spirit. "I'll make sure he's okay when he leaves."

"Okay..." The girl looked at the female spirit worriedly before following Hanako. "Is she really going to be okay?"

"She'll be fine, I doubt he will be able to exorcise her if he tried. Pretty sure she'll use it as training." He explained. "But there's one thing for sure, things are gonna get livelier from now on..."

"Mm!" Bright cyan eyes opened, looking up at the sky. The owner sat up, wincing from pain. "Ow."

"Ah, you're awake." A voice said blankly. Kou looked to see (Y/n) looking up at the red sky. "Took you long enough."

"(Y/n)-senpai!" Kou exclaimed, scowling at the spirit. "Stayed to finish me off?"

"Don't be stupid, and quit it with that 'senpai' nonsense. Makes me feel weird." She replied, glancing at the boy. "I stayed by your side to make sure you were okay. Teru would kill me if I let you stay here in pain."

"Not before I do!" The boy stood up, reaching for his staff. Only to realize it wasn't near him. "Wha-"

"It's over there by the door if you're wondering." The girl stated, pointing at the object leaning against the entrance. "I put it back into the umbrella thing."

"Why-"

"Because I'm being nice." She interrupted. "And I know you have questions for me, which is why I stayed."

The boy looked at her in question, analyzing for any clue of deception. When he looked into her eyes, he could only see sadness and honesty in them. "Fine."

"Well then, ask away."

"How long have you been a spirit?"

"Hmm...I'd say a good few decades." She said, mulling over her memories. "Maybe fifty to seventy years."

"You're old!"

"Oi!"

"Why did you become friends with Nii-san if you knew he was an exorcist?"

"Well, I thought it would be easier to get on his good side." She answered. "That doesn't mean I don't care for him, or you Kou, I care about all of my friends."

"Anymore questions?"

"Yeah. Hanako was the one that killed you, right?" Her eyes widened at him. "So why did you defend him? He's the reason-"

"Don't you dare finish that statement." The boy froze at her tone, surprised that her relaxed aura changed into something akin to murderous. She took a step forward, slowly walking towards the now frightened boy. "Let's get one thing straight..."

"Hanako didn't kill me, and has never harmed me." She growled, now barely inches away from his face.

"Wha-"

"Now." The girl sighed, standing back up relaxed again. "Is that all you're questions?"

"Uh-"

"Great!" She smiled, clapping her hands together. "Let's get you patched up now, then I'll get Teru to take you home."

"Wait! One more!" The boy pleaded. She sighed, looking at him expectantly. "Were you actually murdered on this roof?"

The stayed silent, looking down at the ground. The boy could see the girl shake, realizing the subject was most likely touchy.

"Ah! I'm-"

"Yes..." She whispered, letting the tears well up. "I was murdered by someone I thought I could trust..."

"So you never did anything bad?"

"No...I actually did think about my crush when I died, wishing on those bright stars long ago..." She explained. "So now I just try to bring luck to those who want to be with the one's their heart yearn for..."

The boy's eyes softened. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have-"

"You're fine, Kou..." She turned to the boy, smiling softly. "I'd have to tell someone at some point, can't bottle things forever right?"

"Yeah..." Suddenly, the boy felt arms wrap around him. He flushed, feeling the girl push herself into him.

"Sorry, I just need a hug..."

"I-it's okay." He stuttered, fidgeting his arms. Not sure when if to reciprocate the hug or not. Before he could, the girl let go and wiped her eyes.

"Thanks, I needed that."

"U-uh, yeah!"

"Now let's get you home. The stars are popping out." She pointed out, looking up to see. Kou did as well, seeing the stars start to shine brightly.

"Tell me...if you made a wish on the stars, what would it be?" The girl asked suddenly, still looking up at the stars.

"I! Uh..." Kous mulled over his thoughts, before realizing what she was asking. "Well...I would actually wish to find the one who murdered you and get revenge for you..."

The girl looked at him in surprise, then smiled gently.

"You realize I can't grant that wish right? It has to be based on love."

"What?! That's so dumb!"

"Hey! Hanako's the one that's supposed to grant any wish!"

The two laughed, unaware of someone listening in. The person scowled, angry at the two for different reasons.

Angry at the boy for making friends with a spirit.

And angry at the girl for making his heart pound. For making him want to hold her and find the one who had hurt her.

And also, angry at himself for falling for the female.
