●Misaki's Truth●
Starry (e/c) eyes slowly opened, revealing a big blue sky above her. (Y/n) groaned in pain, sitting up. "Damn him..."
"(Y/n)-chan?" She heard Nene's voice, she turned to see the girl look at her. "Y-you're scales..."
"Huh?" She looked at her arms, seeing them covered in (f/c) scales. "Ah, so I do turn into a fish as well..."
"Anyway, you okay Nene?"
"Yeah but...where are we?"
"We're in the deepest part of the boundary I'd assume." (Y/n) answered, looking around. "We gotta find that yorishiro, and quick."
"Right!" Nene helped the shorter girl up and the two searched. As the searched, Nene stubbed her foot into one of the scattered desks. "Ow!"
"You good? You gotta watch your step."
"I'm okay..." The two then noticed a book has fallen out, 'Top Secret' written in big letters on it.
'Totally suspicious!' The two thought, Nene opened the book.
Today I thretened a student.
It waz fun.
(Y/n) raised an eyebrow while Nene stared blankly at the page. The human then noticed the teacher's notes.
'It's Misaki? The woman we met up there?' She flipped the page.
Misaki cut my hair
gave me a new haircute
I hate Misaki.
Thank you sensei.
'Ah, so this is her book.' (Y/n) thought, letting Nene flip through the book more. 'Hopefully we figure it out, only Nene can pull the seal...'
"Wha?!" (Y/n) was snapped out of her thoughts, seeing Nene look at the book in surprise.
"What are you doing?"
The two turned quickly, seeing the woman on top of the stone stairs behind them. Nene shook in fright, finding little comfort from the other female behind her.
"Y-you wrote this didn't you?"
"Yes."
"You're not Misaki..." She stated.
"I'm collecting parts for him, it's easier to explain if I said I was Misaki." The woman replied coldly, taking a step down the stairs at each of Nene's statements.
"So you mean to tell me you did those things to Aoi for your delusional love?" (Y/n) growled, feeling rage rise in her.
"That's right." Suddenly the two females felt tiny hands grab onto their legs. (Y/n) cursed, raising her hand to blast them away before more dolls piled onto her.
"Shit!"
"Y-you loved Misaki-san, didn't you?!" Nene asked. "What you're doing won't make him happy!"
"Oh please..." The woman stared at her for a moment, before giggling to herself. Suddenly Nene flew back, the woman kicking her square in the stomach. "I know that!"
"Nene!" (Y/n) screamed, eyes widening in terror. She fought against the dolls as best as she could.
"Misaki cared for his students. If he finds out what I've been doing, he'll be angry." The woman laughed, pinning Nene to the tree she hit with her scissors. "But that's what I want..."
"I want him to scold me again..." The woman shook, clutching the scissors tightly. "I would do anything to get him back!!"
The woman launched herself at the human, her face scowling in rage. Nene shook in fear, thinking she was gonna die.
"No...help..." She muttered weakly.
"Nene!!" (Y/n) managed to finally escaped the dolls clutches and launched herself in front of the human. As the weapon was about to slice her, Haku-joudai suddenly appeared and knocked the scissors out of the women's hands.
"Took you long enough." (Y/n) sighed in relief, smiling as the will-o-wisp circled her before returning to their owner.
"Hanako-kun!" Nene exclaimed happily, seeing her friend. But the two realized how hurt he was.
"Yo." He smiled, letting himself fall on his side in exhaustion. The two girls rushed to him in worry.
"Hanako-kun!"
"I think I'm dying." He muttered dramatically.
"What?!"
"You're already dead." (Y/n) replied bluntly back, rolling her eyes at her old friend.
The woman laughed, as well as the dolls. "My goodness, you're fragile! Did our little game upstairs take that much out of you?"
"That was a joke." Hanako said. "Still, it's not surprising that fighting her in her domain is a little tough."
"Not 'a little' you dolt."
"What can I do?" Nene asked.
"Listen!" Hanako whispered, bring the two closer to him. "If we can destroy the yorishiro, then me and (Y/n) can do whatever we want. Did you find anything? It has to be of great value to her."
"So something that means a lot to her?" The starry eyed girl whispered.
"Yes."
"Something that means a lot..." Nene thought back to the women's book. She then remembered the pair of scissors mentioned, hidden in the shrine a ways away. "And we have to destroy right?"
"It should have a seal on it." He explained. "You just have to pull it off."
"We'll keep her busy." (Y/n) said.
"Sorry but..." The woman sighed. "The time for chitchat is over."
She aimed her shears at the three, ready to attack. When suddenly, a star circled around her. It left a trail of rope, leaving the woman tangled up. Hanako kicked the scissors away before grabbing one end of the rope, (Y/n) grabbed the other and pull the rope tighter.
"Number seven! Number eight! Don't try and stop me!" The woman growled.
"Sorry, I can't do that." Hanako replied.
"No way in hell." (Y/n) growled back. "Go Nene!"
Nene ran towards the shrine, but more dolls appeared in front of her.
"I won't let you!" The woman yelled, struggling against the two desperately. "I need my yorishiro, or I can't make Misaki! All this time, everything I've been doing was for him!"
"Um!" Nene yelled, turning around to the three spirits. "Looking at you makes me...I don't know, fidgety."
"It's like seeing myself from a couple of weeks ago." She explained. "You're not doing this for Misaki-san! You're doing it for yourself!"
Nene then proceeded to step onto one of the dolls head, jumping over the others to continue running.
"She stepped on them?!" Hanako and the woman said in shock.
"You do Nene!"
She landed and reached the shrine, opening it to see the pair of scissors.
"Don't!" The woman yelled desperately, the rope loosened around her. She summoned her weapon, but Nene had already pulled the seal.
Hanako and (Y/n) appeared in front of the human, both ready. (Y/n) shot a star at the woman, paralyzing her.
"Number two, The Misaki Stairs." Hanako said. "You've abandoned your responsibility."
He plunged his knife into the women's chest, the world breaking apart around them.
"You are to return your number."

"Okay everybody! Line up!" A man said to the group of students.
"Misaki-sensei, why are we taking the picture here?" A boy asked.
"Why can't we take it upstairs, at the school?" A girl asked.
"I want to take it here." Misaki explained to the children. The group then posed, shortest at front and tallest at back. "Face forward and smile!"
"Come on..." Misaki subtly turned his head, staring at the inari statue next to him. He placed his hand on the ear. "You too."
He pulled, pulling the spirit of the statue out. She looked at him in wonder, face flushing.

"Nene, wake up." A voice cooed. Said girl slowly opened her eyes, meeting face to face with the two spirits. (Y/n) smiled gently. "There you are."
"(Y/n)-chan? Hanako-kun?" Nene mumbled. "Are we back?"
"We are, you did good." (Y/n) answered, smiling.
"Wait..." Nene sat up in realization. "Where's Minamoto-kun?!"
"Oh him?" Hanako rummaged his hand into his pocket, taking out a small plush doll. "Right here."
"Ah!"
"He fought bravely." Hanako cried dramatically, using a cloth to wipe his fake tears.
"He is adorable like this though..." (Y/n) said, looking at the now plush boy.
"He'll change back now, right?" Nene asked. "Along with Aoi and the others?"
"Well of course." Hanako picked a creature up by the scruff of it's neck. "She'll make sure of it."
"She?..." The human asked as she looked at the white fluffy creature.
"The Misaki Stairs' true identity." Hanako explained.
"A fox?"
"Actually an inari statue, she's just able to move." (Y/n) corrected. "Now aren't you gonna say sorry?"
"Hmph!" The fox turned her head away.
"How about we turn you into fox udon?" Hanako asked, waving his knife menacingly at the fox. The fox jolted in fear.
"Good idea, you did hurt my friends." (Y/n) said, smirking.
"Alright alright!" The fox yelled. "They'll turn back to normal by morning. It's not like I have that much power left anyway."
Nene sighed in relief, now knowing her dear friend would be back to normal. Then she looked at the fox looking down sullenly, making the girl feel bad. "Fox-san..."
She grabbed a picture from her pockets, handing it to the small canine. "Here."
"J-just so you know! I haven't forgiven you for what you've done." Nene explained. "That was really scary...I thought I was gonna die! But..."
"I also destroyed something that meant a lot to you for that..." She reached over and gave the fox a pet. "I'm sorry."
She smiled, thinking it was over. Before she suddenly felt pain from the fox piting her hand. "Aaah!!"
"Don't touch me!" The small fox yipped. "I have no intentions of being friends with you!"
"And...my name is Yako!" She said. "Next time you call me Fox-san, I'll bite your hand off!"
Yako rushed up the stairs, disappearing into the night. The three looked after to where she was.
"Maybe we should've done the fox udon thing..." Nene mumbled, rubbing her wound.
"Now, now." Hanako said, chuckling. Nene stood up, then immediately slumped against the wall.
"Nene?" (Y/n) asked, walking up to the exhausted girl.
"Oh...I guess now that the excitement's over, all my energy is gone." She said weakly.
"Oh, you poor thing." (Y/n) smiled. "Here."
"What?" Suddenly Nene felt lips pressed against her cheek. Her heart jumped, suddenly beating rapidly. Her face flushed red when she realized what happened.
"A charm spell to make you feel better." The girl spirit explained, smiling gently at Nene. "Consider it a reward."
"Wha?!" Nene screamed. "(Y/n)-chan! Don't just do that out of nowhere!!"
"Wha? I was just-ow! Hey don't hit me!!"
As the two shouted at eachother, the black paper crane flew out of (Y/n)'s pocket unnoticed.
As it flew down a few halls until it landed on a finger.
"Well, hello." The male said. "You sure took your sweet time."
He walked into the room, holding up the crane. "My lady! It's back-"
A book flew at his face, hitting him square in the jaw. A female said quietly, "Be quiet, Natsuhiko. The teachers will find us."
"Yes'm." Natsuhiko groaned in pain.
"Welcome back." The girl greeted the paper crane, which turned into a black will-o-wisps. "Koku-Joudai."
The wisp floated close to her ear, telling her what it saw and heard. "I see..."
"Then it went well, good."
