Chapter No.144. New Information.
Everything old becomes new.
The next day when I arrived on the command deck, Judy had a report concerning the rescued androids. "All of the androids that the Roamers recovered are functional. We have succeeded in purging Tyco code from their positronic brains and have begun reviving them."
"Excellent! Thank you."
She nodded.
Alexa looked at me and smiled. "You might want to see what they look like. Judy, display the seven android types."
What I saw on the screen blew my literal mind. "Oh my God! Look at the hair colors!"
"Yeah, green, violet, pink, magenta, orange, cyan, and silver."
"And, they're very vivid colors. Why in the hell did they make them in those wild colors?"
She smirked. "They're enhanced sex models. My guess is that they were designed to entertain as well as satisfy."
"That's weird. I thought there were seven thousand males in this group."
"Yeah, and they're also sexually enhanced, if you know what I mean."
I huffed. "That's ridiculous!"
"Not really. It fits in with Tyco's demented plan to subvert the universe."
I lowered my head. "It makes you wonder how many of these androids were created."
"I doubt that we'll ever know. If we have to go through every universe in the multiverse, it'll take forever."
I sat up in my chair. "Speaking of the multiverse, what does the latest Roamer data look like."
"Display the latest map data, Molly," Alexa ordered.
"Wow! That's a really nice rendition of the face. It definitely looks feminine."
"The eyes are what I like," Molly said. "They add to her beauty."
"I just wonder what the philosophers would think of this multiverse being," I said. "I think a lot of them would have difficulty with a feminine being."
"Why not a female?" Alexa said. "She's the mother of creation."
"What I would like to know is what lies beyond this being. Is the being the extent of everything or is there more that we don't see."
"Maybe the Roamers will eventually answer that question," Alexa said.
"Yeah, you're probably right. In the meantime, our main task is to eradicate Tyco."
"What I don't understand is the fact that there are exactly ten thousand in each of these seven hair color types," Molly said. "And each type came from a different universe. Why would Tyco discard them in such a precise manner?"
"That's a very good question. I would surmise that it's either a Tyco trick or it has something to do with the Roamers."
"Maybe we'll find out when we talk to some of them," Marie said.
We met in the hidden pool chamber that evening to discuss the latest Roamer information and to review progress on the design of the mew ships.
"This latest data definitely establishes that the multiverse being is a human female," I said. "We think she's pregnant but have no way to verify that."
"You might know that we Hindus came up with the idea of a multiverse long before you did," Uma said. "There is a possibility that this being is another female version of Vishnu."
"We are open to any theory about what it is," I said. "Multiverse theory has been around for a long time, and you're right. Hinduism did propose that idea long ago, and it's obvious that universes are continuously born and die as parts of the being's structure. We think that this being is responsible for creation, realizing that there's a problem with a creator creating itself."
"Only if the creator had a beginning. If it always existed, it's not a problem."
Actually, I had a problem with that idea. I didn't believe that the multiverse structure was a god. It had to be more complicated than that.
"Fair enough. Perhaps we'll learn more from the Roamers. In the meantime, Alex and I have created a preliminary design for the new ship."
The designs displayed on a large screen above us.
"We still have to incorporate weapon systems in this design, but at least the math works for the engines and the graviton system."
"If we keep taking in more of Tyco's castoffs, we're going to need several vessels like that," Marie said.
"That's the plan," I said. "But first we have to build one and test it before we create a fleet of them."
"Is it your plan to only live on vessels?" Onuki asked.
"I think it's the only way to live. Planets will come and go as the universe ages, but we should able to survive forever on vessels. If nothing else, we'll be able to go to younger universes when ours gets too old."
"I believe that we need to experience being on planets for our mental health."
"I agree, and that's why we'll establish shore leaves as an escape from artificial living, but first we have to make sure that we don't get caught on a planet when Tyco attacks."
"What about this new technology to avoid Tyco attacks?" Alicia asked.
"We're still going over their information," Molly said. "But it appears to be based on a new kind of shield technology, one that not only resists energy blasts but stops quantum electronic intrusions."
"That sounds very promising," I said. "As soon as we fully understand it, we'll incorporate it in all of our vessels."
"What are you going to do with these new android types?" Marie asked.
"I'm not sure. We'll have to talk to them and see what they know."
That happened the next day. One representative from each android type was escorted to my quarters so that Alexa and I could determine what they knew and what they could do, knowing that since they were assimilated into our collective, they would be basically like us mentally.
They had weird names, or designations to be technically correct. Aza was a violet haired female. Massa had green hair. Vina's hair was orange. Willa had pink hair. Temo had magenta hair. Zint had cyan hair and Tizo was a silver haired female.
They were all voluptuous in a spectacular way. It was as if someone had decided to create Barbie Doll women for adults.
"Welcome to my quarters. I am Jason, the Prime Mover." I gestured to Alexa. "This is Alexa, my second in command." I gestured to the couches in my meeting area. "Please be seated. We want to get to know you better."
That statement was not logical. Their positronic brains were connected to the processor core of the main computer, and I had total access to it. However, I still preferred to engage in human customs when it came to this type of situation.
"We would like you to give us an idea of what it was like to be in your former collectives."
"I was a breeder," Vina said. "I produced fifty-five infants."
"I performed to amuse males," Temo informed me.
The others were divided between breeding and performing. I could understand the breeding aspect, but the performing didn't make sense.
"What sort of performance did you do?" I asked Zint.
"I enticed males by bodily gyrations," she said without emotion.
I decided not to imagine what that meant, but it was obvious that they engaged in sex to produce more androids, which made me curious as to how many were produced in that manner.
"How many were in your collectives?" I asked.
The answer I got was mind boggling.
