Department Queens: Northern Hemisphere Family

Kitari: “Sai?”

Sailor: “Yeah, Kita?”

Kitari: “Y’know our mom? Like our...mom, mom?”

Sailor: “...Queen Dalena? What about...her?”

Kitari: “Well...I just glanced at this, um...star chart in the archives…”

Sailor: “...Why the heck were you in the archives…”

Kitari: “...I was kinda hunting down a guy who wanted to finish reading his book and he kinda forgot to do a couple papers…”

Sailor: “Okay...I don’t really wanna hear the end of that story. So what was up with this star chart and what does it have to do with mom?”

Kitari: “...Okay, you know how there’s four star charts, for the North, South, East, and West Hemispheres?”

Sailor: “Yeah…?”

Kitari: “Well, there was this one star chart that wasn’t with the rest and a piece of another one.”

Sailor: “...Go on…?”

Kitari: “Somebody had been marking us.”

Sailor: “...”

Kitari: “...”

Sailor: “...I don’t follow.”

Kitari makes this kind of ‘WUT???’ face and claws her hands through her hair. She leaps up from her spot on the couch and drags Sailor to her room. Her room wasn’t relatively plain. There was the typical cream colored walls with the canopied bed. Teal, gold, white and tan dotted the room with necessary furniture. She had a chandelier to hang people on, a bed, couch, desk, a mirror...and a lot of pictures. Pictures of Sailor and the guys. Moments Sailor wasn’t even aware that Kitari had captured. But there next to the window was the star chart and the piece which was taped to the wall.

Sailor: “Whoa...looks like someone had been taking pictures too…”

Kitari: “Yeah, look at this. Here at Aquila, the eagle constellation, it has my picture. This is Cygnus the swan, that’s you.”

Sailor: “Yeah, but this one has two pic-wait, is that the Dark King!?”

Kitari: “I know right?!”

Sailor: “Dark King and Star King share a constellation. Wait, that one has two others next to them. They kinda look identical.”

Kitari: “That’s the Ophiuchus. The only other constellation with a star sign besides the zodiacs. Plus, there’s physically two halves, like Gemini.”

Sailor: “You think that Star King and Dark King might share the same set of stars…?”

Kitari: “But wouldn’t that mean that Dark King would have to be a Celestial to have the stars…?”

Sailor: “...Like…”

Sailor/Kitari: “Demons originated from Celestials…!?”

Kitari: “A-Ack, we should probably keep down…”

Sailor: “...O-Okay...um, what’re these other ones…?”

Kitari: “Well, if you go up from your constellation, you...you run into Pegasus...and look who’s picture is on it…?”

Sailor: “That’s impossible...I thought no one knew about her except...well, us, Star King...Dark King...um, who else?”

Kitari: “...Look who’s right after the Kings…”

Sailor: “...Libra...and Virgo…”

Kitari: “...Zyglavis and Partheno…”

Sailor: “Didn’t...didn’t Zyglavis have a guilt from...accidently creating...the Dark King…?”

Kitari: “...But...if he had literally CREATED Dark King, wouldn’t that mean Zyglavis is technically our grandfather?”

Sailor: “Wha-? How? He’s Dark King’s dad, not Star King’s.”

Kitari: “But, they share the same constellation! Plus, even if they’re not even real brothers, the fact that Mom had been...you know.”

Sailor: “Then that means...hey, isn’t Partheno-?”

Kitari: “He’s our brother!”

Sailor: “Oh, my gosh!”

Kitari: “Wait, wait, wait, look there’s more! This one I found kinda weird…”

Sailor: “Yeah, if you keep going, you run into Leon and Karno...but if you scoot over to the side...you reach a constellation really close to the center...wait, isn’t that...?”

Kitari: “Draco, the dragon constellation. And lo and behold, there’s the guy we least expected.”

Sailor: “OANGIA?! HOW?!”

Kitari: “Lucky guess, I suppose that’s why Zyglavis and him act so much alike…”

Sailor: “...But which side is he from…?”

Kitari: “Kinda last picture...but I don’t think we’ve ever seen this one before…”

Sailor: “Huh? Where…?”

Kitari: “Up there...next to Pegasus…”

Sailor: “...Um, Andromedea?”

Kitari: “Look at her...doesn’t she look familiar…?”

Sailor: “...Pink...hair…?”

Kitari: “She’s also wearing the same clothing as Dark King and Partheno in these pictures. Oangia is just wearing his usual butler uniform. And look, her eyes are different colors.”

Sailor: “One of them is pink and the other one...has two colors melting with each other...red and magenta…”

Kitari: “Red, I’ve seen...magenta rarely...but where have I seen them…?”

Sailor: “Oangia’s eyes change color...red is fatigue and magenta is...happiness.”

Kitari: “...There’s where Partheno’s pink theme came from. Oangia’s color changing eyes and both of your black wavy hair...but what about me? There’s no teal in this family whatsoever…”

She rubs the back of her arms, kinda disappointed about not being able to find any recalition of her within the pictures of the chart. Sailor quickly glances around for anything that might resemble Kitari. She doesn’t but she sees something else.

Sailor: “...what about this random piece here that’s folded over?”

Kitari: “W-Well, it fell off the chart so I took it along…”

Sailor: “Here, let me unfold it...ah, there it is…”

Kitari: “Wow…”

A man with teal hair that drapes down like Star King’s, and twinkling bluish-teal eyes smiles simply and sage in the picture that is taken. His stars are shown brightly which brings Kitari and Sailor’s eyes to the entire picture.

Sailor: “Hey, look, there’s names on the back of the pictures. This one is...King Viro?”

Kitari: “So that means there’s one on the pink haired lady...Queen Nixrelious? Dang, the fancy names are something.”

Sailor: “Hey, Kitari...you know how the call humans ‘goldfish’?”

Kitari: “Yes?”

Sailor: “King Viro’s constellation is Dorado. The goldfish constellation that got banished down to the Southern Hemisphere in the myths.”

Kitari: “...I don’t think it was entirely a myth…”

She murmurs, reaching a hand up to the Northern Hemisphere chart. Right southeast of Pegasus and Andromeda was a blackened burned to the point they thought it was part of the sky. But faintly, as they start carefully brushing away the burnt and the ashes, they could depict the figured of snobby looking woman with icy blue eyes and brilliant jet black hair. The crown was familiar too. It’s the one Queen Dalena wears. And King Viro, he wore the one Star King wears. Above the picture was the name Queen Serieca, with the ‘Queen’ part stricken out.

Kitari: “...I think she had something to do with it.”

Sailor: “Are they...Queen Serieca and King Viro...the former King and Queen of the Celestial World…?”

Kitari: “...And would that also make Zyglavis a King as well…?”

Sailor: “...But then...wow...how did our family get so...where did Star King come from? From the looks of it, Queen Dalena looks more related to them than him.”

Kitari: “That means he was married into the family. I dunno...should we ask him about it sometime?”

Sailor: “...I dunno...maybe...maybe not now, I mean.”

Kitari: “...Good point…”

*****

Hello, everyone! I hope this ties up some loose ends!

This had been something that had been irritating me a lot. About the relationships between Star King, us and beyond. I hope this cleared up some confusion. In the Northern Hemisphere, the constellations we’re talking about spirals from Cassiopeia (Serieca) around to Draco (Oangia), if you were confused.

SAILOR I AM WORKING ON THE OTHER ONE WATCH ME!!!

...or on secondhand, maybe I should be more worried about staying alive…

...haha.

See you.
